Our family had a wonderful stay at your house.The layout was perfect for our family -plenty of space. House was clean and well kept. The mountain view from the house was great. We enjoyed skiing everyday at the mountains and walked to Boulder Mountain on one of the days. We hope to return next year. Kim, thank you for everything.

We decided to get away from the city for a family gathering, to celebrate thanksgiving day. After searching and searcing for the appropiate house, we finally found Kim's beautiful town house @ Big Boulder Lake. It has everything from toiletry to kitchen utensils. We had a really good time and the kids were able to have their own apace in the basement which was a plus. The property is very well kept and clean. Kim offer directions that are exact and easy to find. She did an excellent job with the decor and spliting of the bedrooms in order for all families to keep their children together. Kim was always available to answer all your questions in which made the process easy and fast.We are very greatful and happy to had the opportunity to enjoyed your beautiful home, we highly recommend this lovely home. We can't wait to come back soon!!

My wife and I wanted a long weekend getaway from NYC, and Kim's home at Big Bolder Lake was the perfect place! We loved the fireplace and comfortable beds, and huge master bathroom with tub! The home is so close to the lake and skiing -- we need to come back for ski season! The setting in the mountains with huge natural rocks and lake was wonderful and upscale for the Poconos. We enjoyed watching the deer feed in the morning as we had our coffee. The Big Bolder Grill was excellent for dinner, and Piggy's in Lake Harmony served some of the best French Toast that we've had. We also enjoyed walking around the cute little town of Jim Thorpe, PA with great shops and historic buildings. Kim was so great to work with and answered all of our questions. We would highly recommend this vacation rental!

After 10 years of renting in the Poconos, we have finally found the home we plan to return to every year going forward. Here are some bullet points: - Proximity: You can't beat the location. Literally a 2 minute drive to the Lake Club where my kids loved the beach and water activities. Even closer to the slopes, which we will keep in mind for a future winter visit (we aren't big skiiers, but we hear there is snow tubing!). Central Lake Harmony is 5 minutes down the road, with great restaurants. We also went to Split Rock's H20 Water park for the day and the kids had a blast. -Amenities: Kim has thought of everything. Need a cookie sheet to make cookies? it's there. Need a certain kitchen utensil? It's probably there! Want to send the kids into the basement to play some playstation on the huge flat screen tv? Go ahead. Dvd player upstairs so the adults can relax? Of course. And thanks for the treats in the kitchen upon arrival, it sure helped after 3 hours on the road, we needed some snacks:) -Communication: During the booking process you were always available to answer our questions, email us late at night, and give us tips on things to do in the area. Your directions helped us find the house easily since it doesn't show up on a GPS. Like I said.. this is our new yearly vacation spot. We almost didn't want to post this review in fear of having more competition for the home!!

My family stayed at the Rock house for several days for a birthday surprise long weekend. We had a wonderful time. Not only was the house immaculate and beautiful, but the surrounding area was lovely and it was fun seeing deer walking through the yards. A peaceful setting yet lots of things to do within driving distance. Thank you for a great place to gather. I'm sure we'll be coming back again.

Wonderful Weekend "Home Away From Home"!!

This townhome was a clean, nicely decorated, new home with lots of space to spread out. The three levels was nice, allowing the grown-ups and kids to have their own spaces. The kitchen was well-appointed, tv's were new flatscreens, everything was in great working order! It took about a minute to drive down the hill to Big Boulder where we enjoyed the day skiing and tubing! It was easy and convenient to get to off the main highways. We were able to park right in front of the staircase, which was convenient when "moving" in and out. The owner was extremely efficient, professional and a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend this rental property!

HAD A BLAST!!

The house was so beautiful and the layout was ideal! I rented it and took my daughter, son-in-law and three teenagers. The weather was not the greatest our week but we had a wondereful time dispite the weather. The kids are talking about it still and want to go for 10 days to 2 wks next summer. We got to see plenty of deer(back yard) and we even got to feed one an apple right out of our hand (front yard). We saw a fox in the front running to the back, and we saw a black bear one night when we went go carting. There is only one thing that I can suggest be updated and that is the computer hookup. Could not get connected. wanted to checkout activities and directions before going out. We played games, went go carting, played golf, played miniature golf, went on bumper cars, went on a hike and saw beautiful waterfalls, shopped at the outlets for school clothes and the day before we left we had great weather and went to Camelbeach Water Park. We ate out a couple of times, ate in mostly and enjoyed our coffee out on the deck one morning (wished we could have done that more) ALL IN ALL WE ALL HAD A BLAST!! Great place Kim!!!

Owner response:Thanks Elaine! The internet issues ended up being an underground wiring problem in our neighborhood actually. They have since replaced the lines so no more cable modem outages in the house going forward :)

Dear Kim, I just wanted to let you know we had a great week at the house. It was perfect for my husband and myself along with my sister and her husband. Our Mom was with us too. My 13 yr old niece and our 20 yr old son and his girlfriend all stayed there and we felt we had plenty of room and also felt we had our own private "spaces." We never felt crowded and really enjoyed the big screen TV in the living room where we had a fun time playing "Wii" all together. We made friends with the deer who visited us a couple of times. It was amazing having them come right up to us and being able to feed them. We did lots of fun things in the Pocono area along with having some very nice relaxing times right at the pool. The house was everything that you advertise !! Thanks for having a house available to be able to have a great joint family vacation. LR Essex, VT

Kim, Thanks so much for letting us stay at your beautiful home @ Big Boulder. The home was perfect for our family of 10 - we took the master bedroom and our kids each had a floor to themselves (one family upstairs, the other downstairs). The pool table was perfect, as was the plasma TV. We had so much fun skiing and you weren't kidding when you said you can see the slopes from the back deck, WHAT A VIEW!! you really have thought of everything in this home, there was never a dull moment. Also thanks for the recommendation for the local restaurants, they were great.

Summer Week at Big Boulder

My wife and I rented this property from Kim for a week. We wanted to have a place where we could have our two children and their families join us for a week long vacation. This house was ideal. My son, his wife and our granddaughter used the downstairs area that had 2 bedrooms and a bath. My daughter, her husband and 2 grandsons used the upstairs area that also had two bedrooms and a bath. My wife and I used the master bed room on the main floor. We each had our own area and it worked very well. Got to see several deer passing by the rear of the house on several occasions. The grandkids loved going to the beach club and using the member passes provided by Kim. It was a safe place for them to play and swim in the lake and the adjacent pool. We rented a boat and took the grandsons out fishing on Big Boulder Lake. The cost to rent a rowboat with an electric motor was a little "steep", but it was fun to see the 5 and 3 year old enjoy the experience. We thought a boat with oars was part of the package. We will consider renting the house again since everyone had a good experience.

This property is great for families and the area has alot to do.the home was clean and the only minor problem was the toaster oven had a short and was hard to use.Unit owner was informed and stated a new oven had already be ordered.

Our family had rented this property for a summer getaway and we really enjoyed the amenities and the facilities. Everything in the property is brand new and very well done. Kim is very easy to work with and also very accomadating. I would highly recommend this place to any one who is looking to rent a beautiful home away from home for a getawy.

My family and I spent a weekend at this beautiful townhome in January. The house and Kim were so nice and accomodating to all of us! It was so convenient to the slopes(Big Boulder), we could come back to the house for lunch everyday. I will definitely be renting this home again in the near future...hopefully this comig summer. One of the best rentals I've stayed in! It’s unbelievably close to the mountain and local eateries. The house is beautifully decorated and has a warm cozy feeling. I spent a weekend there but would happily spend an entire week.

We stayed in this Pocono rental over the Christmas - New Years 2008-09 week. It was a couple minute drive to the Big Boulder ski resort, which was convenient. The house was spacious and decorated very well, clean and modern with no nick-naks, which some rentals get junked up, not knowing it is a turn-off for renters. This owner was smart with the decor! The bedspreads and comforters were beautiful decor choices with plenty of extra pillows. The downstairs area was great for teens. The only thing it lacks is a hot tub on the back deck! A great place to stay for a skiing and snowboarding vacation -close to Jack Frost and Big Boulder, and ski rental equipment places. New Years on Big Boulder offered fireworks and late night skiing which was awesome! I would definitely rent this vrbo home again.

Kim, your place more than satisfied our needs and was very comfortable. Your neighbors were less than gracious regarding parking spaces, even though there were plenty of unused ones. In fact, once we moved our cars they then took 3 places with one directly in front of your home. Probably out of spite. Because of that, I can neither recommend nor hope to stay there in the future.

Owner response:The community has since given us assigned parking spots so that this issue can be avoided in the future - Also, it was not my actual neighbors but guests staying in their home who were unaware of what parking spaces belonged to which houses - This is very unfortunate and I am sorry it occured however it will not happen in the future due to the changes which have been made since then to make the spots more clearly marked.

Our family was very comfortable in your beautifully new decorated home. Upon arrival, the kids dove right into the complementary goody basket while the adults unpacked, and the toiletries baggies provided, where an additional bonus. The pool table and the DVD player kept the kids busy while the adults relaxed and enjoyed the deck. Your quick response regarding the plumbing issue, and the fact that it did not interfere with our plans, was greatly appreciated. The beach passes provided where enjoyed by all throughout our stay and the facilities and surroundings were clean and enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thank you for renting us your house.

We really enjoyed staying at your beautiful house. Not only was it very clean but everything was very new and tastefully decorated which made it even more pleasant. We especially liked the close proximity to the lake and the free membership passes you provided. We really enjoyed fishing and kayaking there. The complimentary toiletries in the master bedroom and the welcome-snack-basket were quite nice touches. We had a great time barbequing on the deck and all the needed utensils were provided. The only problem we had was that some mornings there was no hot water but that may have been because we were 12 people staying at the house. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The only thing that would really put this house over the top would be a nice jetted hot tub outside.
