River Run Inn is located right on the Arkansas River in Salida, Colorado. This historic property was built in 1892 and originally operated as the Chaffee County Poor Farm. Today it's listed on the National Register of Historic Places and bears little resemblance to its humble beginnings. Now, renovated rooms are elegant, wireless Internet is available and a gracious front porch invites guests to relax and view the glorious Salida, Colorado sunsets. A smaller back porch is a favorite for morning coffee and watching hummingbirds. The property sits on five acres in the country so it is an ideal place for rest and relaxation as an alternative to a typical hotel stay. Our location on the Arkansas River, with an eighth of a mile of private, blue ribbon fishing for our guests, not only makes it a peaceful retreat, but idyllic for the angler.
Salida's downtown historic district is 3-1/2 miles from this property. The town offers many noteworthy restaurants, a micro brewery, antique shops and art galleries. The area is known for superb mountain biking, fishing, rafting and kayaking, hot springs, and the Monarch Ski area. Plenty of variety for your family or group.
This property is available as either a private rental with all the independence you need to prepare your own meals, or as a full-service Bed and Breakfast, complete with traditional innkeeper attention. The Innkeepers live in a house next door to the rental property; their presence will be discrete.
While we do not have a restriction as to the age of children in your party when our property is used as a vacation rental, please understand that this 3-story house is not equipped with cribs, high chairs, or other child safety devices.
Absolutely no burning of candles is allowed anywhere on or inside the property. Pets are not allowed.

$700/night for up to 12 people; $30 each additional person.
3 night minimum stay.
$100 cleaning fee if use deemed excessive by innkeeper at check-out.
50% deposit at time of booking; balance due 30 days prior to check-in.
30 day cancellation period; $25 cancellation fee.
No pets, no smoking, no candles
$300 damage deposit due at check in, check payable to River Run Inn
Damage Deposit refund within 10 days of check out after inspection
