The Seadog is an airy 5 bedroom / 4 bathroom oceanfront vacation villa overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Seadog Inn faces mostly eastward to capture and allow you to enjoy the soothing trade winds and natural breezes. To supplement the winds, The Seadog has many ceiling and floor fans to keep you cool.
The outdoor bar area (The Bone Bar) rapidly becomes the gathering place at The Seadog Inn. The bar itself is framed with humpback whale bones collected from the Atlantic Ocean as they washed ashore. Multiple seating and lounging areas add to the comfort and create a perfect area for cocktails and reading.
Price posted is for the villa rental fee only. For a nominal additional charge we can offer either a complete meal plan or a modified plan. The complete meal plan includes all meals and snacks throughout your stay. The modified plan includes breakfast and lunch only. We encourage you to try the local restaurants, they are both fun to visit and enjoyable to try.
Dedicated golfers will surely enjoy The Seadog. The villa is located only a few miles (7 to be exact) from the famous Playa Grande Golf Course. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. as his highest achievement in the Caribbean, the Playa Grande Golf Course offers spectacular golf for dedicated duffers and beginners alike. Ten holes overlooking the soaring cliffs also provide exceptional vistas while offering challenging cross winds. Are you up for it?

The Unique Benefits at this House
Peace and quiet, whales spouting and jumping in the ocean. Lunch while sitting in the pool and gazing at the ocean. A professional massage under a shady tree with an ocean breeze. Eating fresh seafood caught that day and thrown in the pan. Walking down to the port to watch the local fishermen bring in the daily catch. I've stayed there twice with my wife and another couple. I love the Cabrera area, Playa Grande (beach as well as the golf course), and the little downtown. It is vibrant but safe. The Sea Dog is serene, beautiful and is a great place for comfort, entertaining friends (and clients, in my case). The waves and breezes are as flowing, living waters. It is close to several beaches, the village and the marina but secluded enough for privacy and peace. It is perfect for up to 4 couples. Also, the staff is courteous.

I have stayed here on several occasions. I have found the accomendations to be very good. The view is exceptional. The home is very modern and offers complete privacy. I will continue to stay there. I'm hooked. The area offers beautiful beaches, water falls, mountains, lakes, springs, and rivers. The locals are very friendly. The restaurants are good and inexpensive. I can't wait to return.

The longer I stayed the more I enjoyed the Sea Dog. It became a second home. I would return again and again for the golf, fifteen minutes away from Playa Grande Golf course, for the sightseeing by four wheeler, and for dining on lobster, fish, and chicken at one of the local beaches. The pictures on the website tell a true story of what the Sea Dog is all about. I highly recommend the Sea Dog Inn.

We are now back in freezing London, and I want to tell you how very much our party enjoyed staying at the Sea Dog! We had a really wonderful time. The property itself is glorious - beautifully maintained, fabulous garden, wonderful facilities – and the scenery and surroundings are breathtaking. We loved the peaceful way that the days unfolded; and the kindness and helpfulness of the staff just couldn’t have been greater. We all agreed that your thoughtfulness and commitment as an owner really showed through in every aspect of the property and the way that it is run. So I wanted to write and thank you so much for enabling us to stay there and for helping to make our stay so very enjoyable, and also for your care and help for Alison over their arrival at the Sea Dog. (In fact, their drive went very well, both coming and going back to Santo Domingo.) We will certainly encourage friends to consider staying there for a vacation; and perhaps we might be able to go back there ourselves one day,
