Three bedroom, two full bath, modern home, all immaculate and brand new, with floor to ceiling windows, 18 foot atrium, a fully equipped chef's kitchen, living room/dining room, fireplace, central A/C, wireless Internet, washer/dryer, stereo system, backyard Japanese garden, and third floor terrace, all bathed in sunlight on a friendly residential street.

Other features include a copier/printer/fax, unlimited phone use for domestic and long distance in the United States, and selected countries in Europe. Blocks from Prospect Park and Subway and 20 minutes to Manhattan.

Our neighborhood of Park Slope, Brooklyn, is a slice of real New York. Brooklyn has been referred to as "the Paris of New York" with shady trees, boutiques, shops, restaurants, and many cultural sites including The Brooklyn Art Museum, The Brooklyn Botanical Garden, and historic Greenwood Cemetery.

  • We chose a home accomodation in Brooklyn because we wanted to experience "real life" in NY for the two weeks we were there and we weren't dissapointed one bit. Park Slope was a lot of fun, full of fine eateries and warm people. David's house was very inviting, bright and warm (nothing to do with the heating). Transportation (trains and buses) are within walking distance and Manhattan is much closer than one would think. David was extremely courteous and we very much enjoyed our relaxed evenings together (with a good drop of wine and some great stories) when the miles and miles of walking all day got the best of us. What all vacations should be like: arrive as a stranger and leave as a friend. We highly recommend the house/studio and wouldn't hesitate booking again when visiting the city. When crossing the Brooklyn Bridge (from Manhattan into Brooklyn), a sign states "Brooklyn - Where the real New York begins"... we agree. Enjoy!

  • An architectural gem. Extremely clean and comfortable in one of the most charming areas in Brooklyn and NYC vicinity - chock full of cute restaurants and boutiques. The host is lovely, very accomodating and easy-going. The only caviot is that it is a bit of a commute to Manhattan so it is not for those who feel that they have to be in the center of Manhattan within minutes. If this is not a concenr, then this place is great - and I highly, highly recommend staying here!

    We had a family wedding Christmas 07 and rented this house for 4 of us coming from both the UK and NZ for 13 days. It was a delight to stay here, with a beautiful garden. It was a home away from home and beautifully appointed which makes things so easy - everything you could possibly need is at your fingertips. We all felt very comfortable here and it is so central to everything we needed and still only 20mins from Manhattan. It was an oasis of calm to come home to each night after the hectic schedule of Xmas, NY, Birthdays and a wedding, and the general mayhem of Manahattan pre Christmas. What a delight.
