I always clean everything to insure the guest will be delighted in thier location, and be able to enjoy thier vacation. I am always a pone call away if the guest need anything. If you leave the doors open, the wind does bring in dust and dirt very swiftly. If you don't like bugs, be sure and keep food off the counters and floors during your stay. I am always avaliable to come and tidy up for a fee. Just give me a call. I am also really good with children of all ages, if you need an adult night out. If you rent this place, Mahalo and welcome to paradise.

This rental property was a real pleasure for my family and I to stay at. Don and his staff were readily available for any questions or concerns during our stay. Fresh mango in the morning from the trees over head was nice to eat, the bugs and birds liked it too. It is Hawaii so if you don't like bugs you may want to pick a different vacation spot. There are cockroaches present on the island but if you turn on the A/C, leave a few lights on and exercise good housekeeping you will not see them often, if at all. It's the tropics, they were there first, so get over it! Folks with children should know that there is a sea wall with at least a five foot drop to the sandy beach below. There are some large rocks down there too. Great decks and views from both the main and guest houses. The property is very convenient to any activities you may want to participate in. Everything worth doing is a 20 minute drive or walk from "home". It was comforting after a good day of shopping, parasailing, ziplining, snorkeling or whatever to return to a place you could consider "home"! We had a wedding reception at the house and had ample room for people and parking. The drive way is huge with room for two under cover and six others, plus or minus two if trucks or cars. My family and I would definitley recommend this property to anyone interested in having a unique Maui vacation "home"! The only thing I would gripe about, but we are all guilty of this, would be more attention to detail with cleaning between guests. If you have rugrats bring a playpen, especially if you and your guests don't remove your shoes in the house. Common sense and an Aloha spirit and you can't find a better place to stay! Mahalo Don and Staff!

We got here a few days ago at night. I had no idea how absolutely beautiful a location could be and once I saw the home during the day how perfectly decorated it was for the location. It was amazingly clean, homey, just a slice of paradise. My kids had the best time ever! They loved the yard, watching the turtles at night was amazing. We swam and snorkeled right off the beach at the house. We were amazed the owner seemed always to be available when there was a question. Always willing to give advise for the best snorkel spot or surf spot. We had the time of our lives!!
Owner response:Thanks, this is the hardest job ever. Making your Hawaii dreeam coe true. We try very hard to do so.

I loved the tropical feel of the place. The decor is top quality. The main house is honestly right next to the ocean, with the fresh air it is a true Hawaiian paradise. There is a level of privacy and comfort which makes this place magical. When we arrived the place was impeccable, no problem what so ever. Don the owner was amazing to do business with. The property is well maintained, and was very clean. Our group came with the right attitude to enjoy our Hawaiian vacation, the house and its location and the general feel of the place made our dream come true. It was amazing to be centrally located, close enough to everything, yet when we got "home" it was so nice to just enjoy our own piece of Maui. Coordinating the booking was very easy, it is a pleasure to be able to call the owner , who actually answers his phone and emails really promptly. It was easy to enjoy ourselves, and we will definitely do it again!!!
Owner response:Wow, this is what we strive for. thx

DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE! You've heard of those nightmare vacations, we'll this was ours. We have traveled on numerous vacations and even to other countries and rented several other vacation homes. This house and it's owner has been our nightmare vacation. The house had cockroaches climbing in the bed, on the floors up the walls and even across my son's face while he slept. The kitchens was full of ants and we had to throw away anything that wasn't refrigerated. The stove had a gas leak that was so bad it was shooting up a flame on a burner that wasn't on. The house was filthy the baby's hands and feet were black from crawling after a few minutes. The house was is disrepair. The photos must have been taken 5-10 years ago. After less than 24 hours attract thewhe property, we felt it was unsafe with 2 small childrewhenn, the gas leak and cockroaches we left and secured other lodging for our family of eight. The owner did not want to address the unsafe issues presented and has refused to issue a refund.
Owner response:The home was totally sprayed by The Bug man before this geust arrived (I have receipts). I was given absolutely no call or e-mail until the guest had already moved from the home. If you read our other reviews you'll note some of the wealthiest pickeyest people in the country continually give our home 5's out of 5's. It is spotless and well maintained. If the bugs were a bad as this guest suggest all she had to do was call me. Within 5 minutes 1 of 5 people would have been there to resolve any problem.I actually drove over myself the very minute I got a text to to find the home had been vacated. After the alledged incident I had The Bugman work the entire weekend re doing their job although interesting, prior to this guest staying I stayed in the house 4 days, had a chef LULU cook for me and never ever had one bug probem.NOT ONE!! The bug spraying we did was just our normal quarterly spray . Truly sorry about this poor experience by our guest.

On Sept 8th I had the pleasure of cooking at this wonderful waterfront home in Lahaina for a group of guests. It's such a sweet cottage with a huge porch with ocean views where the group hung out to enjoy pupus and the sunset. It's totally equipped with everything needed to throw a beach BBQ including a gas grill. I was delighted that a tour was on offer, so I had the rare opportunity to see the beach house in it's entirety. It's lovely to say the least and I would highly recommend booking this place over staying at a hotel.

We have our properties sprayed every 3 motnhs buy Bugman. If a guest has a bug on the wall or out of place its usually because they may have stayed which the fumigation was still working or in Hawaii if you have children and they are infants and leave food on the ground and you dont clean up throughly ants will appears. We're in the ptopics. I seldom have any complaints however just want it understood one cant do more them we do to assure a property is properly maintained.

My sister came in from Okla. and I wanted to surprise her. She has 3 kids 2, thru 6. I wanted to have them stay at this home as I'm a driver for Carey Limo in Maui and have had several high end folks stay here. I called the owner who only had 7/7/11 thru 7/10/11 available. We pulled in and it was obvious the owner had just re - manacured the place. Its was beautiful. I told my sister not to plan on going out, the owner had just installed a new BBQ and between that and the oven where we cooked home made pizzas had a great visit. The turtles at night off the back deck were a site to see. A glass of wine and I was happier then I thought possible. The new flowering hanging plants showed me even for a local guy the owner went out of his way to make the home perfect. We had about 25 folks over for a party our 2nd nite and I was amazed how easy and perfect the home was to entertain. The ocean views tremendous, the sunsets gourgous.I now know why my clients enjoyed the home so much. The kids throughly enjoyed the yard, no worries, they just played all day. Thankyou for such an amazing 3 days. We will be back.
Owner response:Thankyou Bill. Great your local. Pleased you found us through your clients. Call any time. I'm thrilled you found the home to your liking. I've been battling my 2 Mango trees all season. We were finally able to stay a night a few weeks ago. I own it and still cant get enough of the location and view.

Aloha, We were so blessed to find this ideal location and beautiful home to celebrate our nephew Tyler's 5th birthday!!! We had numerous kids ranging from 2 - 5 years old who were running around the gated property without any worries for their safety. The home is amazing with views to die for. The kitchen is user friendly, as we prepared many a meals for the kids during our short and and sweet stay from 7/1/2011 - 7/3/2011. One evening we had a private chef come in to cook for us as we wanted to just relax and enjoy the peacefulness of this wonderful home. BTW.... the beds are the best too - wonder where they got those from? Thank you so very much for the great memories we will cherish forever. Mahalo - Erika Lissone
Owner response:Wow, thx for the reply. We just updated and relandscaped, replaced a few lights and mirrows and dressed the property up. We have been booked solid without a break for 14 months . I appreciate your comments. I'm glad the kids enjoyed themselves. I wonder who your chef was. Thx and God bless!

Our party of 6 (2 adults + 4 teenagers) LOVED this vacation Home. The minute you walk through the front door, you are drawn to the gorgeous views from the lanai and home. You are right on the waters edge, The home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. There was ample room to spread out and relax. TV's in every bedroom (but really, who needs a TV in this spot?), comfy beds, and island style decor) The sounds of the surf lull you to sleep and wake you with a smile each day. Our favorite meal of the week was a BBQ on the lanai. Why pay high prices for a restaurant meal when YOU have the best view on the island? A well-stocked kitchen allows you to cook your favorite meals. One night we even had a private cater come in an prepare a gourmet meal on the lanai. The location is just perfect! . Our family was looking for a perfect spot away from the crowds and we found it. Don was amazing to work with and very attentive, so helpful and kind. He quickly answered questions to help make our vacation stress-free and memorable. We have rented many properties from VRBO over the years. This is our favorite by far---don't pass it up! The house itself is beautiful and in a great location just a few blocks away from downtown Lahaina. The owner and maintenance people are very friendly, and there is a huge tree supplying endless mangoes! There is a little wall dividing the property from the ocean, but it's easy to get to the beach, which does not have enough sand for sunbathing, but makes for a nice dip depending on the time of day. The pictures on the website are true to form. BUT, we experienced several problems, all related to inadequate maintenance. The oven did not work. We asked for it to be fixed but were told that wouldn't be possible until after we left! When I asked them to expedite repair (twice), I received no reply... The burners on the stove seem to have 2 positions: full-blast "on," or "off." The bathroom mirror was held on with padded sticky tape, and shattered all over the floor one day while we were out. Some of these problems were really quite dangerous. There were a few other, more minor things that you just wouldn't expect in a home of this caliber. I'd definitely recommend this home to perspective renters, IF they can get a guarantee that the maintenance problems have been addressed. Otherwise, I would not consider it worth the money, and I would definitely be worried about having children there.

We had a very short 3 day stay July 4th thru the 7th. I surprised my girlfriend who came in from California and her two young toddlers 2 and 4 with a 3 day stay at the home before heading to Oahu.I live in Maui, had heard the home was amazing, it truly is. The outside has the old Hawaiian design.. The inside Henridon, Marge Carson but casual, very high end! I wish we'd stayed the entire trip there. I could only book the 3 days which I did. It changed our plans a bit as we ended up in Oahu as well but I'm soooo happy we got to stay. The views were amazing, my girlfriend cooked the most amazing meals and eating on the back deck 2 ft from the ocean was simply magic. We never went out.The Mangos were in season and we got used to having mangos every day. We actually made fresh mango loaves in the oven 3 days straight. We we amazed , if we needed something the owner or his staff somehow were there within minutes. We were disappointed we couldn't stay longer. I was amazed the baby crawled all day on the floors and never seemed to have dirty hands. They really seemed to maintain the property well. It appeared the owner just re-landscaped or cut back his trees and bushes. He had new hanging plants off the back deck which indicated he went thru great effort to make our staff perfect. The internet worked well. He even had a printer there so we could print our documents.
Owner response:Brian, thankyou. Its so hard to make our home perfect for everyone. We do our best. Lately we've been booked for 14 months straight so we had maintence that needed to done which we were able to get done a day before your arrival. It looks like you really enjoyed yourself which is our goal. We understand for many staying at our home is a dream. We simply try to make your dream come true.
