A very charming cottage located on the best street in downtown Huntington Beach. Crest Ave wraps around a park with a jungle gym, slide and swings, picnic benches and horseshoes. This house is right off of Main Street and a short walk to downtown, pier and beach.
The house has been completely remodeled and restored to its original charm and beauty from 1915. It has been updated with a complete gourmet kitchen with all the amenities. The atmosphere is that of a Cape Cod cottage, beautiful craftsman woodwork in every room, original hardwood floors wall to wall(restored), claw foot tub, classic picture rail, custom built-in desk, covered porch with seating, English garden with 7 fruit trees and beautiful fountain. There is also a gourmet vegetable and herb garden. Open the windows and you can hear variety of birds that sing and chirp all day long. There is always something blooming in the garden and we love to experience the beauty and tranquility the garden provides.
Downstairs features the living room with a brick fireplace and a custom fit sofa with a queen size convertible bed. There are pocket doors in the living room which can close for privacy making it another room. There is a 40" plasma TV with HDTV, DVD, VCR, CD Surround Sound and Stereo. The Dining Room seats 6 comfortably and has a beautiful built-in China cabinet. The den/office features 'on line' computer & fax. The back door leads out to a rear patio with a table and chairs and features a gas BBQ, great for dinners outside after a long day at the beach.
Laundry is in the attached garage. All lighting is dimmer-controlled.
Close to everything and a very short walk to the ocean, pier, and downtown Surf City, Crest Cottage is a GREAT place to come home to. In the afternoons, the front porch is great with a glass of wine, and in the quiet of evening you can just about hear the surf break. It is ideal for a couple, or a family. Everything you need is right here. Come visit and enjoy the warmth of our Cottage.
Furnished complete with linens, cozy terry robes, thick Egyptian cotton towels, 450 thread count cotton sheets. A gas barbecue in the patio area, 6 bicycles, 1 with baby seat and bike locks, cable TV, computer with high-speed internet, Wi-Fi. Beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, beach coolers, and a wagon to tote everything to the beach. Washer and dryer are in the attached garage. Parking is easy; you have 1 spaces in the ally and plenty of street parking.
Activities here are endless. Great dining and will recommend good take out. There is a local gym (24 Hour Fitness) that is walking distance.
Huntington Beach is a 30 minute drive to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. It is a 1 1/2 hour drive to Sea World. It is adjacent to Newport Beach & Fashion Island, Balboa Island, Laguna Beach, Corona Del Mar, Seal Beach, and Long Beach (Aquarium of the Pacific, Queen Mary, etc.). It is a 1 1/2 hour drive to local mountains with skiing and snowboarding in the wintertime. You can easily drive up for the day. (To check conditions look up Big Bear Lake and Lake Arrowhead). Los Angeles is a 30 minute drive. We have the best of everything.
