Tigin Doolin is situated in the midst of a rural farming community near the world famous traditional music village of Doolin and the Spa town of Lisdoonvarna. (Each approx 2 miles).
Our house is called "Tigin Doolin" because Tigin means small cottage or house in Gaelic and this home reflects the environment of the Irish Cottage by encompassing both modern amenities and traditional values. Our Tigin has a hint of rustic charm and quaint old world style feeling, and is finished in pine throughout. It is what is known as a "dormer bungalow", with two bedrooms (one double room, 1 twin room), bathroom, kitchen and living room on the ground floor, and other double bedroom and bathroom upstairs (sloping timber ceilings add to the cottage style interior).
The enclosed south facing rear garden ensures privacy if required, or is a secure area where children can play.
This area is an ideal base for touring County Clare and is within driving distance of many world renowned tourist attractions like the Cliffs of Moher for example.
Its location is also ideal for those who enjoy the outdoors - with the Burren (famous for its rare flora and fauna) within 5 minutes drive away, and a little further afield (in two different directions) are the beautiful beaches of Lahinch and Fanore, both of which are well known among surfing enthusiasts. |
