My family and I (two adults and 2 teenage boys) stayed at David's condo over Spring Break. First of all, this place is immaculate and very nicely decorated. It is also well stocked with towels, lovely, comfy bathrobes, snorkeling equipment and everything you need for a trip to Costa Rica. The kitchen is very modern and very well maintained. From the kitchen you can look out over the balcony to the clear blue sea and watch the sail boats dropping snorkelers off in the bay. In the mornings, we would sit out on the balcony and listen to the birds and just enjoy the sounds of the jungle. At night, we would again go out to the balcony and listen to the howler monkeys off in the trees. We even saw a few monkeys one evening. We cooked a few meals in the kitchen and there is enough pots and pans and utensils to make it doable. Everything in the kitchen is immaculate. Each of the bedrooms have their own private balcony which makes for a sort of private retreat. We also highly recommend working with Estela. She helped us reserve a car (Adobe - they drove it to us and picked it up from the condo when we were done with it - easy and no problems whatsoever); made plans for deep sea fishing (caught a Spanish Mackerel which was delicious and a funny looking fish called a Rooster Fish (had to throw back - not edible); toured Manuel Antonio with Estela's friend Estelle who is an amazing guide (Spend the money for a guide b/c you will miss 95% of the animals if you go on your own) and she provided some great restaurant recommendations. In that regards, Sanchos has great, inexpensive Mexican food and they deliver; El Milagro has a very fun and varied and delicious menu; and the restaurant right downstairs from the condo serves amazing meals. I do recommend renting a car - it just makes it easier and it is not as scary as it sounds. Overall, our experience with this condo was wonderful. Everything was functioning (ceiling fans, a/c). You can tell that the owners have a great deal of pride in their condo. This place felt like home from the moment we crossed the threshold. Even before then, David sends you a detailed email which allows you to begin planning your trip well in advance of your arrival. So, don't pass on this condo. Just don't rent it when we want to use it! :)

This is a high end luxury condo. It is located on a hillside which allows for a great view of the ocean. I think the pictures make it appear that the ocean is further away than it really is when you see it in person. The condo is well appointed, with luxury bathrooms, walk-in closet, kitchen, and beautiful furniture. You will not be disappointed in this unit, which is located in an area of other high end condos and hotels. I cannot think of one negative about this condo. The unit has snorkels and fins for when you go to the ocean. There are lots of activities available in the area. This area has a number of wonderful choices for restaurants, although it is reflected in the cost. Make sure you go to LaMariposa. The food is mediocre, but it has the greatest view I have ever seen and our waiter was great. Kapi Kapi has great food and is in a beautiful setting. Fruit is available from fruit stands in Quepos at cheap prices, and we made smoothies every day. I should also mention the wildlife. We saw sloths in the trees outside the condo one day. Another day, we were entertained by monkeys climbing and jumping through the trees. One monkey in particular came to the trees closest to the pool area, and we loved watching him climb and jump from tree to tree while the birds tried to shoo him off. The pool at the condo is great. The temperature is just right, and it was never busy. We never had a problem getting a lounge chair or bed. You'll love this place!

The descriptions on the website are 100% accurate - this is a perfect place to stay in Manuel Antonio. We were all so impressed with the cleanliness and amenties of the condo, as well as the location. We enjoyed the pool every day after our beach activities. We were able to walk to both beaches mentioned above and enjoyed many restaurants near by as recommended by the owner. We really appreciated the location of the condo as we could park our rental car just feet from the front door & also be down at the pool in a few seconds. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend this condo to my friends and family

While "a picture paints a thousand words" may be true, the photos on this site (while very helpful) cannot begin to describe the warm, luxurious and comfortable condo that awaits you! As accurate as the descriptions were, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the condo, the spaciousness and the careful attention to detail provided by the owners for their rental guests. Hospitality is reflected in every inch of this condo. David was very helpful in sending information before I began my week-long stay. However, upon opening the front door to the condo and seeing the incredible view, I stood speechless and in awe of the beauty. The setting overlooking the Pacific is at once breathtaking as it is calming. The view from any of the three balconies is mesmerizing -- I found myself drawn to it time and time again, and spent hours simpy relaxing on the balcony above the rainforest and beaches below. Every morning at sunrise, I was greeted by the lively sights and sounds of nature awakening: many species of birds, playful cappuchin monkeys, and the gutteral barks of howler monkeys. The handsome 2-bedroom unit met every expectation: extremely clean, fine furnishings and local Costa Rican art, extremely comfortable beds and linens, a fully-furnished kitchen (even plastic wine and margherita glasses that you can take poolside), a small library of guidebooks and reference materials on Costa Rica -- honestly, it was much more than I anticipated. Adjacent to a hotel/restaurant and sharing a wonderful infinity pool, this property is one to which I would return without question! Sun, sand, ocean and as much or as little as you would like to do awaits you at Manuel Antonio. Estella is so helpful in making recommendations and arrangements for any excursion or activity -- from guided tours in the National Park to dinner reservations at one of the amazingly delicious restaurants in the area (Arenas del Mar was one of my favorites and the Sunset Cruise from Puerto Quepos that includes snorkeling, lunch and dolphin watching is exceptional). My only regret is that I didn't stay TWO weeks rather than one. But given my pleasant experience on this trip, I know that I will be returning to this condo again and again. I recommend it highly -- you won't be disappointed in the least!

Our family had an absolutely amazing holiday in Manuel Antonio, and felt like movie stars in the condo. We only wish we could have stayed longer, we miss the Howler Monkeys and beautiful views. This condo was everything the reviews and pics showed and more. It was comfortable, inviting, very clean, and with most wonderful views of ocean, sunset and pool. We enjoyed kayaking, snorkelling and swimming at the beach below the condo. Also went to Manuel Antonio National Park with Estelle, mangrove kayaking, and many excellent restaurants which Estella helped us with. This condo is in the best location! Hoping now to start planning for next year and would definitely want to stay at the "David's" condo again. Thank you to Dr.David for renting us this amazing condo.

We stayed for just 3 nights with our two teenage sons after a 4 night stay in Arenal. We wish we had planned for more time in Manuel Antonio. The condo was clean and perfectly equipped. All the recommendations and assistance from David and Estela was fabulous. We did rent a car and definitely felt it helped the overall experience (we did not have a car in Arenal). The sunsets were amazing (take David and Estela's suggestions on where to go) and our park tour guide was awesome. Our only surprise was how early the area closes down at night in general. Definitely recommend this condo and the area though!

What a beautiful condo - well appointed furnishings, spacious and clean, convenient location, great pool and helpful onsite service. Estella welcomed us with a delicious fruit basket, rum cake and Costa Rican coffee and was always available to answer questions or provide assistance. We spent 8 wonderful days and enjoyed breakfast every morning on the patio watching the monkeys, birds and enjoying the ocean view. Thank you David for sharing your condo with us. We would recommend this place to anyone. We've rented condos all over the world and by far, this rental was the best.

Stayed for 2 nights in Feb 2012. Excellent contact with the owner, everything is clean, well maintained and fully equipped as per description and better. The views are magnificent. Convenience of the hotel restaurant, bar, pool is outstanding. Food in the hotel down below is indeed very good. The property manager is very helpful and thanks to David for very elaborate instructions on what to do in Manuel Antonio. Both us and our 3 kids enjoyed the place a lot and hope to be back.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this condo and our vacation to Manuel Antonio. This condo was one of the nicest places we stayed in Costa Rica. It was super clean, well decorated and very spacious. It was so nice to have the luxuries of a condo (full kitchen and laundry) with the benefits of hotel-like service (pool with towel service, a restaurant on-site, a concierge to help you plan outings. Estella was a HUGE help too.). Amazing location...nestled in the rainforest, with a beautiful ocean view and within walking distance to Biesantz Beach and very close to many of the nicest restaurants and hotels in the area. And the parks and beaches of Manuel Antonio were amazing! We had a great (but too short) visit! If you're struggling with your decision on where to stay in the area....look no further...this is the place to book!

My family stayed here 1/28 to 2/4/2012 and we loved it. We have a 6 and 8 year old boy who came with us and having the pool right there is a big bonus. The condo itself is very nice and clean. The bedrooms are spacious each with its own nice bath. The full kitchen is a huge bonus as we ate many meals in the condo. The location is great with a short walk to a small local beach and pretty much in the middle of Manuel Antonio with all of its activities and restaurants. The setting of the condo itself is beautiful as it is off of the main road. I would recommend renting a car as walking along the narrow roads is not wise - we flew to Quepos and had good luck renting from Budget which is adjacent to the airstrip. Thanks David, we hope to return in the not too distant future.

We spent 10 days in this fabulous condo in January 2012 and it was perfect. The facility is new and beautifully appointed. Each bedroom had its own en-suite bath and balcony which gave everyone the privacy and space they needed. Tremendous ocean views from all rooms, and a great, well-stocked kitchen. It feels very remote yet wonderful restaurants are within a mile of the condo. The restaurant at the adjoining Suu Hotel is handy and delicious. And who could resist the adorable white-faced monkey family that visited everyday? My only regret was not renting a car. Taxis don't always cruise that area because the road dead-ends at the Parador Hotel below, and it was inconvenient (and a little pricey) calling for a car all the time.

Our family had a wonderful time in Manuel Antonio. The Condo we stayed in was beautiful. Everything we needed was there; it was safe, clean and very comfortable. The pool, beach and local hotel service was great. Estela service was fabulous. She made us feel welcome and had some good suggestions on places to go, restaurants and the Salsa Dip she brought us one night was outstanding. Estela was so helpful even before we arrived quickly responding to any questions we had and it was great having a “local” contact just a phone call away. She was very thankful for the Mahi-Mahi we gave her after our deep sea fishing trip too! Everything we did there including, Deep Sea Fishing, Zip Line, visiting the Manual Antonio Park, Snorkeling, beaches etc were safe and top notch! David’s email prior to our visit was so helpful and we referred back to it the entire trip to plan our daily events. Thank you Estela and David for a trip our family will never forget and we would recommend our friends and family to visit again.

Our family of four stayed at this condo in December 2011. The condo is as promised. It was much more spacious than the pictures indicate. The room sizes were large and it was beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and all the tools needed to make a gourmet meal. The views are breathtaking. This location was awesome. We had views of the mountains, the ocean and jungle. What more could anyone want?! The monkeys were a delight and the howler monkeys could be heard at different times during the day. The beach was beautiful although the pathway was intimidating at first. Once I walked it once or twice, I was fine. This condo was within reasonable distance to everything. I thank you for the welcoming fruit and the coffee. We arrived around 8 at night and were exhausted. It was nice to know we had something to wake up to since we didn't get to stop at the grocery store. Estela is a gem and I feel like a have a friend for life. Thank you to the davids and estela. When we return, we will stay here. perfect.

The condo had EVERYTHING and more. Comfortable accomodations, fully stocked kitchen that allowed us to bring fresh fish back and cook, beach towels, rafts, even bug spray. Loved that I could do laundry and come home with a suitcase full of clean clothes. AMAZING views. We were able to walk easily to Beisanz Beach and the Parador. The restaurant/pool staff was friendly and helpful. Most helpful was Estela. I felt like I had a friend in Manuel Antonio. She was able to arrange tours, dinner reservations, whatever you might need. I would 100 percent recommend staying at this condo. I can't wait to return.

Our stay in your beautiful condo was all too brief. The website cannot do justice to the luxurious feel of the condo and its magnificent view. We so enjoyed the balconies, views of the water and monkeys in the trees. The owners and manager were so helpful in sorting out any issues we had and made our stay so fulfilling. We only wish we could have stayed longer. We had great accommodations throughout Costa Rica but this was by far the most luxurious and we all slept the best. I highly recommend a stay of any length possible. Susan, Dan and family. July 2011.

Our Family spent 4 wonderful days staying in this luxurious condo. As soon as we walked in the door we were swept away by the breath-taking views. The condo is spacious, in a great location, and has every amenity you could possibly want or need. We enjoyed having Biesanz Beach (a very calm, uncrowded beach) within walking distance from the condo. There is so much to see and experiece in Manuel Antonio ( hiking, rappeling waterfalls, zip-lining, horseback riding, etc.) and after all that adventure everyday, there's nothing more relaxing than coming home to this tropical paradise. We highly recommend this condo and want to thank "The Davids" for sharing their home with us.

My husband & our 2 boys ages 12 & 6 spent 8 fabulous days at this condo. From the well appointed kitchen, to all the little details that made you feel right at home, we truly had an incredible time. David provided us with all the information needed for our stay prior to arriving and Estela made sure we were taken care of while we we were there. ( Estela brought over her infamous Chimichurri one night, which was delish!) It was such a treat drinking coffee on the balcony in the mornings, while watching the monkeys play in the trees & the toucans & beautiful birds fly around! We all enjoyed having Biesanz & La Playitas beach so close to condo.(within walking distance) On the days we were not on a tour or at MA Park, this condo was just great to come back to. We made wonderful memories and will definitely be back next year. Pura Vida sums up our experience here!

Whether your travel plans call for two nights or two weeks, this spacious condo is sure to suit your needs. Each bedroom is equipped with large walk-in closets, huge showers, and king size beds. If you love watching the sunset, look no further! The best seat in the house can be found from one of the three terraces - you chose! Alongside the friendly staff and concierge, this Costa Rican retreat is truly a home away from home! The grounds are well maintained, the amenities are fabulous, and the view from the infiniti pool is incredible. There is also poolside service with cool beverages, tasty snacks, or a full service menu. While you are just minutes away from the beach, I would suggest taking a Zipline excursion or planning a tour through the National Park. Kayaking, Horseback Riding, and Safari tours are also just a phone call away. The concierge desk is ready and willing to assist with any requests. There are also endless restaurants, bars, and coffee shops for the foodies. There is also a grocery store nearby for those that prefer dining in. Whatever your heart desires, The SUU Hotel/Condo is sure to make a reality. To describe this place in one word - "Amazing!" What are you waiting for? Book your trip today!

We had a wonderful time staying at your great condo. The place was immaculate, had a wonderful view, and was easily the nicest place we stayed in all of Costa Rica. We enjoyed the infinity edge pool and the onsite restaurant. The chef prepared the yellowfin tuna we had caught in the morning and made a wonderful three courses from it. Easily the best meal that we ate in Costa Rica. We were entertained by the howler and white faced monkeys that played in the trees, as well as the iguanas and toucans. The grounds were impecably maintained and the staff very helpful. I would definitely recommend the condo to anyone visiting Manuel Antonio.

Estela is an absolut joy. She did all the bookings for our different trips so all we had to do was relax and enjoy. She even brought us the most delicious dip we have ever eaten. We fell in love wth everyone we came in contact with. We would lay by the pool and read and the restaurant would bring us a tall glass of ice water and later and dish of ice cream. I only hop we can go back someday. Thank you David for the memorable trip. Carol and Tom - Orange, Ca

This condo is absolutely beautiful. It certainly exceeded our expectations and was perfect for two couples. Not only was it lovely and comfortable, it afforded us plenty of private space while enabling us to share common spaces relaxing together, watching monkeys play, and discussing our plans for the day over breakfast and a cup of coffee or recapping our experiences over a glass of wine. Estela is delightful and was always willing to assist with whatever we needed. The location was great, with many good restaurants close by and was close to Manuel Antonio National Park. We also explored Carara National Park and a privately owned preserve (but worth mentioning) Hacienda Baru. Needless to say, the wildlife is spectacular and abundant. David provided a lot of helpful information for finding our way around the area, as well as, restaurant recommendations which we appreciated. Our only regret is that we stayed only one week.......we should have stayed at least two!

We knew the condo was going to be nice based on the pics & reviews, but we were blown away when we walked in and saw the view above the rainforest canopy & straight out to the Pacific. We experienced some beautiful sunsets at "Happy Hour" from the main deck. Everything in the condo is first class, plush and well stocked. The master suite is so spacious, the shower is huge, so is the closet area and there's even a loveseat and reading area. There are three decks & all have ceiling fans. The kitchen has everything you could need including a dang good blender! Estela should be the poster girl for Tico hospitality and generosity. She guided us to the best restaurants, best tour guide at MAP, made us amazing pico/guac & smoked trout dip, and escorted us about 45 minutes away to a local stream with several natural pools & waterfalls that can only be described as our "Best Day Ever! We packed a lunch and spent 1/2 a day in this paradise all to ourselves exploring, rock climbing, cliff diving, swimming in the pools, reading & napping on the rocks. She elevated our MA experience from great to off the chart!! Estela is a tremendous resource and we recommend that you tap into her local expertise and genuine love for her homeland of CR. We stayed pretty active cayaking & snokeling from the little beach below, running & walking at MA public beach, and hiking/exploring MAP. We got some great pics and got up close & personal with several monkeys, slothes, tucans, crockodiles, etc. If you're a foodie, you'll love MA. MA's restaurant scene is very competitive and varied. We had several incredible meals with views that were to die for. Thanks to David for the wonderful directions & informational package. It was extreemly helpful in getting us to MA and the best restaurants, shopping and excursions. The guest book was an excellent resource as well. David, thanks again for sharing this wonderful condo with us. It had been a long, cold winter and this was just what we needed. It was supposed to be the green season. Everything was very lush and green, but it rarely ever rained. We've travelled all over Hawaii and the Carribean in search of paradise. Pretty sure we found it right here. Can't wait to come back. Until then, Pura Vida!

If you have never rented from VRBO, I suggest you do it! We had a wonderful experience at Manual Antonio! Prior to leaving, David sent us an email with everything we needed to know: directions to get there, where to eat, places to go, etc. When we arrived, Estela was there to help us with anything we needed. FYI, there is parking right behind the unit, and there are no stairs between the parking lot and condo. There is a paved hill to get down to the pool and restaurant, but the Suu staff will pick you up in a golf cart if needed. The condo is SO much better than a hotel, but you have the resort amenities to use – the best of both! It looks just like the photos – everything very clean, and kept up! We read the reviews before we came, and all the comments are true – no exaggerations! This is the place to stay!

We loved Manuel Antonio and this property! We are particular about where we stay because we are spoiled as my husband has worked in the luxury hotel business for years. The condo was pristine, immaculate and beautifully decorated. The amenities offered through the Suu Hotel are fantastic…delicious food, poolside service, a beautiful pool/lounging area and helpful service. Estella, the condo’s concierge is very special. We were travelling with a newborn and her kind, caring and helpful way made such a difference. She even bought my 3 1/2 old a present when we left and packed us a surprise care package that we found at the airport for the kids! I often get homesick, especially after being away for almost two weeks, but I did not want to leave. We love to travel to new places every year but will come back when our kids are older for sure.

From the first day there, we had blast. Manuel Antonio is a fabulous place, with so much to do. The people there are amazingly friendly and extremely welcoming. There are wonderful restaurants, bars, beaches all so close. The condo is in great shape, looks just as advertised. It is clean and modern. Had a few warm days, so the air conditioning was fantastic. We travelled with 6 people, and the condo was a good size for us all. Sam and LeAnne who take care of the place there are also very friendly and easy to talk to. They set up several tours and surf lessons for our group. We spoke on the phone several times, and offered great tips and ideas for our trip. It was very comforting to know we had someone there who was looking out for us. The condo is near a little private beach and just a couple miles to the State Park where there are several larger beaches, and a good place to surf. There is an infinity pool in the complex which felt like our own private pool. The Hotel shares the pool, and the staff were also very hospitable, bringing fresh fruit on sticks (very fresh and delicious). Overall, we had an amazing time. Would highly recommend the ATV tour and sunset at the Mariposa. Looking forward to coming back again and would love to stay in the same condo. Really exceptional. Thanks for a great trip.

We just returned from a 5-day stay at this beautuful, spacious, clean, modern condo in Manuel Antonio. The condo exceeded our expectations, as the pictures on vrbo could not capture just how expansive and dramatic the views of the Pacific ocean are. We are a family of 5 and had plenty of space to spread out, although we spent most of our time enjoying the outdoors during our stay in Costa Rica. Having the luxury Hotel Suu somewhat connected to the condo building is an added bonus. We had the privacy and spaciousness of a condo complete with well-equppied kitchen, plus we had all the amenities and services of the hotel. The pool was lovely. Hotel staff treated us like any other hotel guests...their friendliness and high level of service was a treat. We've traveled quite a bit and can be picky about our lodging...we recommend this condo without a doubt.

We spent the week after Thanksgiving 2010 in this fabulous condo to celebrate our anniversary. It is everything you could ask for and so much more. The condo is HUGE, and the views are breathtaking. There are essentially two master suites on either side of a large central area including entrance foyer, living and dining rooms and kitchen, all of which looks out on the Pacific Ocean. The SUU is absolutely lovely. We loved the pool area just below the condo with a brand new gourmet restaurant. The owners gave us very helpful advance information, and the on site managers Sam and Leanne were just wonderful! Our friends traveling with us had to leave early due to a family emergency, and Leanne made all the arrangements for them. I recommend this vacation rental for anyone. You will be so pleased!

My wife, our two sons and I stayed here for 4 days and wanted to stay for another 4 months! Everything is as luxurious and tasteful as we could have hoped. The 3 balconies offer fantastic views of the ocean, the rain forest and the infinity pool. The incredible sunsets alone are worth the trip. Manuel Antonio is a truly magical place that you will never forget. On the way to one of the nearby beaches, we white-faced monkeys, 3-toed sloths and a large family of, surprisingly cute, howler monkeys. Every beach we visited was even prettier than the one before. The two beaches that are closest to the condo are both white-sand beaches that we had practically all to ourselves. It was great to come home to such a modern and luxurious base every night instead of a normal, boring, hotel room. The place really is great. The kitchen is just awesome. Both bedrooms are huge master suites. The washer/dryer is so nice to have on vacation, we can't tell you. And parking is secure and covered and right out the front door. The manger/concierge, Samuel, was irreplaceable. He booked our tours for us, got us a great babysitter and even drove us over to Manuel Antonio National Park early one morning so we could be some of the first ones in the park. This place was everything we could have hoped for and we definitely will be back.

Paradise....that sums it up. What a wonderful condo. We were only in Manual Antonio for 2 days, myself and my 3 kids, but can't wait to go back for a much much longer trip. David and Sam were so very helpful. Sam set up us with an ATV adventure that was so much fun. David was helpful with information on restaurants and the things to do in town. The condo was heaven. The views incredible. I can't say enough. Thanks again for a wonderful trip and we will be back!

The condo was as beautiful and upscale as described. Getting there, and anywhere, in Costa Rica can be tricky. The owner, David, was very helpful with directions and advice and we found our way. We spent most of our time at the small beach nearby, loved it, and in the incredibly warm and soothing infinity pool, and on the deck enjoying nature and the view while reading or playing cards. The area and the condo complex was very quiet and private, very nice. We ate most of our meals in. The kitchen was well equipped. We shopped at the Farmer's market and the very Americanized store in Quepos. When we did eat out, we had great meals as well. Costa Rica has great food! We had an excellent experience in Costa Rica! We started in the caribbean side, then to Arenal, and finally to Manuel Antonio and the welcoming condo at the Quepos Ocean Club. The itinerary was perfect because ending a perfect vacation in the well appointed, extremely comfortable, everything we could possibly want condo made our vacation very satisfying not to mention the best part relaxing. David, thank you for your follow up and allowing us to stay in your lovely Costa Rican home. When we come back to Manuel Antonio we hope to stay at your condo again and possibly again and again. Thank you, Patty & Dale

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in Costa Rica and we were glad we located this condo. The condo is beautiful, great views, clean, good location, and very peaceful. We enjoyed watching the monkeys from the balcony. The owner is very professional, provides good tips on the area, and very helpful-. Also, the concierge (Samuel) is great. He is very knowledgeable about the area, makes great recommendations for activities and restaurants. He sets up the tours for you and really helps you to learn the area and feel relaxed. The condo is surrounded by the top hotels (all of of which on on unpaved road) in the area but the condo is well worth it because you will feel like you are coming home each day. I would recommend to others and we look forward to returning.

Wow, what a fabulous home! The location, furnishings, view, wildlife, amenities and people were all absolutely lovely! We spent peaceful mornings enjoying the spectacular view of the ocean from the porch followed by adventures of a lifetime for our children (14, 12 and 11) with zip-lining, sailing, snorkeling, ATV riding, horseback riding and exploring the national park. Sam, the property manager, helped us lay out the week of adventures when we arrived. David’s tips regarding where to dine, beaches to go to, and practical advise regarding shopping etc, were also extremely helpful. This was a highly memorable trip in a truly delightful home with everything that you could ask for! We are all very anxious to return!

My family stayed in this property during Easter week 2010. It's beautiful! It is immaculately clean and furnished in a comfortable and tasteful decor. Being very spacious with two large bedrooms and private baths, it has a kitchen and living space that is perfect for socializing. A large balcony overlooks the pool area and beyond the ocean. The property security staff is on duty 24 hours and were always helpful and friendly. The location is a short distance from all the attractions of Manual Antonio. No complaints what so ever! I'd recommend this property to all. Thanks for a great stay in MA!

Excellent location, excellent value. On the same road as classic luxury staples such as Hotel Parador, Makanda by the Sea, and La Mansion, this privately-owned condominium offers guests the comfort and amenities expected by the big names in the area. Privacy meets nature at The Ocean; Playa Biesanz is a 10-minute walk and virtually your own, complete with capuchin monkeys, calm waters for swimming, and clean sand for sun bathing. Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio and its surrounding public beaches are a 10-minute drive away. Breakfast and coffee are available at Café Milagro at the intersection of the main road and the road to The Ocean, a 5-minute drive down the hill. This condominium is in a central location to all that Manuel Antonio has to offer. A few notes for travelers… Please note that personal transportation should be a 4x4, if you choose to drive yourself; local taxis are available, will come to the hotel, are generally passenger cars, and get the “job” of transporting you done. Taxis are highly recommended if you plan to have an alcoholic drink at dinner, for both obvious and conspicuous reasons (i.e. dirt roads with pot holes, other crazy drivers, etc.). As of March 21st, 2010, there is still some minor construction going on at the neighboring hotel that is connected to the condo property. This in no way affected the peace and quiet of our vacation, sleep-wise and relaxation-wise. The condo is stocked with bath and beach towels, a washer/dryer unit, coolers (for beverages at the beach), a beach umbrella for the sun, cable television, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, extra pillows, extra bed linens, and a safe for valuables. The air conditioning works perfectly, which has been an issue at other so-called luxury rentals we’ve stayed at in Costa Rica. A concierge-type person is available on-site for booking tours, and they will make sure you don’t over pay as evidenced by the rate given to us for Titi Canopy Tours.

Cappuchin monkeys in the trees in the morning and beautiful evening sunsets over the ocean...I can think of no better place for adventure and relaxation. This property felt like home--a very luxurious home--from the first day we arrived. And its proximity to restaurants, spas, shops, and beaches makes for a very relaxing vacation. This is a place I could return to again and again.

What a fabulous condo. Views, views, views! Why would anyone want to stay in a Hotel? The accommodations were absolutely wonderful. Three lanais, what more could you ask for. Walking to beach and snorkling, great restaurants nearby and monkeys in the treetops. Will always stay here with our visits to Quepos/Manuel Antonio!!

Costa Rica is a beautiful place to go and see nature in its original form. We had such a great time staying at a luxury condo, but yet see monkeys, birds, and reptiles right outside your door. The condo had all the amenities you can ask for, plus a million dollar view of the water. The beaches are the best that I've seen in the world. Look for the cove in the national park. You will be the only one there and you will think you have died and gone to heaven. Highly recommend this place.

Why does time always seem to fly when you're having a good time? This condo at The Ocean is the ideal place for a relaxing, yet adventurous escape. When you open the door, you walk into another world. The view from the living room, bedrooms and balconies is enough to make you never want to leave. It's a miracle we ever made it to the beach (even though it's only a 5 minute walk away), because you can't get much better than this place! The condo itself has everything you could need, and all the luxury you've ever wanted. It's also a pleasure to rent from such helpful and friendly people.

This is the perfect place for a vacation that combines rest and relaxation as well as fun and adventure. The owners provide tons of helpful information and recommendations about the area. The property manager schedules tours, makes excellent recommendations, and is generally helpful, gracious, and friendly. (He scheduled several tours for us.) The condo itself is comfortable, spacious, beautifully furnished, and perfectly located, within walking distance of two beautiful beaches as well as several restaurants, but still set apart down the hill, away from the bustle of the main strip. And only a short ride away from the amazing national park. The pool is lovely – we visited it every day. And we spent hours out on the condo’s fantastic balconies, sipping Costa Rican coffee, looking out on the Pacific, and bird- and monkey-watching in the jungle areas below. We will highly recommend this beautiful condo and location to all of our family and friends!

Spacious, well equipped accommodations in a tranquil and incredibly scenic, quiet (well, except for the Howler monkeys) location. Perfect for two couples with a split bedroom floor plan. Walking distance to many restaurants and a secluded beach. Owner is extremely helpful. We would stay there again and would recommend to friends/family. Great home base for exploring Manuel Antonio/Quepos.

We absolutely had a wonderful visit and would highly recommend The Ocean for anyone venturing to Manuel Antonio. Staying here represented the perfect mix of comfort and tranquility to soak up the adventure and beauty of Costa Rica. We would have been happy to spend the majority of our visit on the porch viewing beautiful sunsets, sailboats in the ocean and wildlife in the trees below us, but we were also able to easily hop around the restaurant and activity scene in Manuel Antonio. We look forward to returning again in the future!

What a wonderful place to celebrate our 15th anniversary. The condo was luxurious and spacious and the setting was beautiful, restful, and serene. It was a perfect hub for exploring the amazing wildlife of Costa Rica and a peaceful retreat to return to after a day at the beach or out in the rain forest. We enjoyed watching the birds as we ate breakfast on the balcony and took in the gorgeous sunsets in the evening. It was easy to get our bearings as the owners furnished us with a packet of information, restaurant recommendations and helpful hints, plus the friendly property manager was able to answer all of our questions and make any arrangements we needed. Having a well equipped kitchen allowed us the flexibility to both eat in and to enjoy the variety of fabulous local restaurants. It was truly an amazing and refreshing vacation.

It was the perfect honeymoon getaway. We awakened every morning with the monkeys who passed by our balcony on their morning rounds, ate breakfast while watching the monkeys and birds, and went on wonderful excursions and restaurant meals arranged by the fabulous resident manager. The nearby beach is lovely and quiet, and the pool is large enough for a real swim. I can tell that a real cook had a hand in furnishing the well-appointed kitchen. I highly recommend this location and this lovely condo for a memorable stay.

July 7, 2008 My son, his wife, and two children, aged 7 and 9, and Nana (myself) spent an absolutely wonderful week in this beautiful condo. It was so much fun to watch my grandchildren get so excited about every new animal they discovered - hermit crabs, sloths, monkeys, caymans, iguanas and beautiful birds. The condo was perfect for us; it is tastefully furnished, without being fussy, and very comfortable. The balconies from each room allow you to enjoy the breath taking nature surrounding the condos and we particularly enjoyed watching the sun go down while having a margarita and some home-made guacamole. By-the-way, the kitchen is very well appointed and even a gourmet cook would be happy to use it. All five of us loved the swimming-pool and the proximity of the beach. The condo manager was extremely helpful in arranging outings, such as horseback riding, mangrove boat trips, etc. The condo meets the highest standards and I will recommend it to all my friends.
