  Absolutely the best view of St. Johns and the BVI's! You won't need to travel to other beaches because the best is right out your door. We were able to leave the sliding glass doors open at night, enjoy the tropical breeze and be put to sleep by the sound of the waves. Definitely a place to go back to!

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  We rented this Sapphire Beach Condo for 4 days in March 2013. It was a perfect location - Sapphire Beach Resort has 6 different buildings spread out along the beach - this building was far enough away from the main beach with its madding crowds, but not so far as to be parked in front of the marina, as one building is. This was a second floor unit and was generally very quiet. We faced east so I watched the sun rise each morning from the balcony. The sound of the waves at night was very lulling. I barely left that balcony during my 4 day stay - I had thought I would get my free beach chair and sit down under a palm tree but... with the cruise ship crowds and being so close to the water anyway - why bother!?? The condo is nicely furnished - this particular unit does not seem to be pictured on Homeaway but furnishings were similar to what you see, if not a little nicer. The bed was very comfortable (I have a bad back) and is actually KING sized! You can close off the bed area from the rest with sliding panels, to help block out morning sun (although heavy drapes did a decent job.) The kitchen has the bare necessities and I've communicated with the owner about some suggested upgrades, she has been receptive. You are also provided beach towels and previous guests have left beach chairs and a flexi-cooler if you'd like to use it, hopefully it will stay there. All in all - a fantastic stay and I'm glad I didn't go cheap and go with Sapphire Village up on the hill - the waterside location was well worth it!

  Owner response: Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I have upgraded the unit since I have taken pictures last. New paint, dining set and living room set. This will be done soon. Also, some of the kitchen items have been replaced and are good now. We try to make sure that all necessities are there to make your visit a pleasant one. Listening to the waves at night is my favorite thing to do.

  the condo was very comfortable and clean. perfect for two people. you are in a good location to get to red hook and other close by beaches by car or taxi. we had a wonderful stay and dawn was very helpful with where to eat and go. you are right there at the marina , so if you take a trip to the baths in virgin gorda, you are right next door to get the boat. i would definetely recommend to my friends and family. the beach is right outside your door. thanks again, diane & scott

  THe apartment is really nice and comfortable. I feel like it is home away from home. Every morning when I wake up, i open the door to listen to the sound of the wave. Sapphire beach is not far from Red Hook. It is easy to drive to eat there. However, the resort itself is far enough to avoid those noises and night lights. It is very quiet. I was able to get my work done. The beach itself is very nice. I don't have to go far to find a nice place to swim and snorkel. People are very friendly and helpful. They tell me where I should eat and shop. THank you so much for making my trip so relaxing....

  I took my mother for her birthday, and we couldnt have stayed at a better place! Dawn, the owner of the unit couldnt have been more helpful from the time I booked, Until the time we left. We stayed at the unit, just like all the reviews said...the views are breath taking, and the ocean breeze at night was so beautiful, we slept like babies with the sliders opened all night. In the a.m. we drank our coffee and watched the sunrise come up! We snorkeled everyday, took a yacht excursion, went to Red Hook and shopped downtown. I booked another trip with Dawn coming up this Aug, and this time I will be bringing my husband and 2 sons, to share the wonderful experience I had..you wont be disappointed!! The unit was clean, and everything was in great working condition. We felt safe, and took a $1.oo cab into Red Hook for shopping..

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from May 2 - 7, 2012. It was a nice condo with everything that we needed. The view was amazing and there is no review in this world that could ever really capture the experience. The condo-owners were upfront about everything and all in all, the trip was smooth. The location was excellent in more ways than just the ocean front view. It is right next to a nice marina and the bar is in walking distance (perfect for us). The locals at Sapphire truly made the experience all the more memorable. We would absolutely recommend staying in this condo to anyone. We made lifelong friends and look forward to returning in January/February.

  My husband and I stayed here for 7 peaceful nights in Feb, 2012. I researched several properties and found the price and location were comparable. We have family that has been coming for several years, renting various condos and highly recommended the resort. The condo and description are as pictured. It was clean and a good size for 2 people. We appreciated that the appliances worked well and were in decent shape. The bathroom had double sinks and was a good size. The couch and mattress could be more comfortable. We bought groceries in Red Hook and prepared most of our meals here This freed up funds to pay for snorkeling excursions, taxis and some shopping in Charlotte Amalie. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. Unobstructed out to St. John and nearby islands. We left the sliders open every night to fall asleep to soothing waves. It was a bonus to have the beautiful full moon out while there also. Building E is at the end near the marina and very quiet. We also liked being on the 2nd floor for privacy. The beach was clean, sandy and had plenty of shady areas. My husband and I love to snorkel and brought our own equipment. The Snorkeling was excellent and you didn't have to go far out into the warm, turquoise water to see a rainbow of fish. Whatever you do, don't step on coral or take any home with you! The beach hut was handy for chairs, floats, kayaks, snorkeling equipment, etc. Kudos to the owners for having 'Noodles' to float around with and beach towels. There is small snack hut that serves breakfast, smoothies, drinks, burgers and sandwiches. The (unheated) pools were clean and nice also. The landscaping was nice and the beach is truly only steps away. It was easy to get a taxi to go 5 minutes to Red Hook or 20 minutes to Coki Point or Magens Bay (highly recommend). Also take a nearby ferry from Red Hook over to St. John for the day. They run every hour until midnight. The resort is centrally located and it was easy to get around. We decided to avoid the hassle of renting a car and driving on left side of road. We will return to Sapphire Beach Resort again in the future.

  This condo is located in a perfect part of St. Thomas. Away from all the cruise ships, but close enough to Red Hook - which has many wonderful restaurants and bars, as well as the ferry that you can take across to St. John. The view from the condo is amazing - you can look right across the ocean to St. John. We went during low season and practically had the pool and beach to ourselves. This is a very reasonably priced condo and it has everything you need to have fun! Enjoy!

  We have been staying at Sapphire Beach for 4 years now. We have stayed in 3 other units and this one is the best. It's in the last building so it's very private. We happen to be smokers so we spent a lot of time on the balcony. The other units we stayed in had no breeze so there were a lot of little biting bugs. This unit has a nice breeze so it takes care of that. I would highly recommend this unit but not for the 3rd week in October because we will want it again next year.

  We recently traveled to St. Thomas for our 30th anniversary and had a great trip. The owner was great and answered all of our questions and even gave us great tips on where to eat and what things to not miss. The location is perfect if you want a beautiful view and a nice place to stay. The unit was clean and comfortable but not so fancy that you were afraid to sit on the furniture, etc. All in all a great place to stay and the owners are really very nice and able to work with you. Hope to return in the future. I have made sure that all of my friends know of their unit.
