  Five family members and I stayed at Casa Bella for three nights for my birthday and what a restful stay. The beds are so comfortable and warm, the house is stocked wonderfully, and the view from the house is dramatic to say the least. Yes, I will stay there again. Thank you Mia!

  Three couples shared this lovely home in order to celebrate one very big birthday. The house is beautifully laid out to maximize it's unobstructed ocean view. The kitchen is well appointed with appliances, dishes, kitchen utencils, and condiments for people who like to cook and eat in. We particularly enjoyed the fresh crab from Spud Point Crab Company. The weather was perfect for our walks on the beach and golf in the redwoods in nearby Monte Rio and on the challenging Bodega Harbor Golf Links with spectacular views of the coast. After golf we'd sit in the courtyard to relax with the sound of the water fountain. On our last evening there, we gathered in the loft to see the HD version of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" on the big screen TV. We definitely recommend staying at this property and would stay at the house again on our next visit to Bodega Bay.

  This was our second time staying at Casa Bella and it was even better this time. The house was great, very comfortable and relaxing, fully stocked with everything you could need; it was just like being at home only we were on vacation. Very clean and tastefully decorated throughout which made our stay even that much better. We lucked out with having beautiful, clear weather the whole time we were there which made the views from the home spectacular. We stayed with our 2 children and our 2 friends for a total of 6 people and Casa Bella was big enough for all of us without feeling like we were on top of each other. I appreciated that there were 4 full bathrooms. Look no further folks; this is the beach house for you!! Thank you Mia, we look forward to stay again very soon.

  I felt like I visited my own grand parents home. First I was shocked by the spectacular view but next I was moved by the Casa Bella itself for her warm and cozy interior and delicate touch in every room. I strongly recommend this vacation home for two to three families, especially three generations of the family. You could enjoy the most beautiful sunset scene from the living room every day.

  What a fabulous house! Immaculate, relaxing, wonderful location and view (except for our fog!!!) and we wish we had had a longer stay! We stayed with friends and it was perfect. The home was fully stocked, and made it so easy to reach into a drawer or cabinet and feel like home. The owner was a delight to make arrangements with and showed us around....and we hope to return and enjoy it again!

  We visited Bodega Bay for our 10th anniversary to return to the place where we first said, "I Do." We wanted a homier feel to our visit & Casa Bella provided that & so much more! As soon as you walk into the private courtyard, you enter your own little world of tranquility. With the beautiful landscaping, water fountain, & lounge chairs, you have the perfect place to read a book, enjoy lunch, & watch the birds as they splash in the fountain. When you enter the house, all you see are glass windows & doors that give you the perfect view of the ocean that is just a 2-min walk from Casa Bella. Open the windows/doors & you hear the ocean waves–magnificent! We absolutely loved the loft area as it was a cozy retreat for taking in the ocean waves or enjoying an evening glass of wine to a good movie. Whether you’re exhausted from a full day at the beach or full day of lounging, you’ll enjoy a great night’s sleep in the comfy beds at Casa Bella. Although we visited many of the beaches in the Bodega Bay area, our favorite was Portuguese Beach…which just so happens to be the beach directly across from Casa Bella. It was exhilarating to watch the ocean waves roll in & crash into the enormous rocks that are along the water’s edge. Although we never found the beaches to be overcrowded, we enjoyed taking in the other beach-lovers as they played with their children/the family dog, flew kites & just enjoyed life at its best. We can’t say enough about the million sparkles that blanketed the ocean each afternoon. And those sunsets–beyond breathtaking! Casa Bella serves as a convenient location to take a day trip & enjoy the scenic drive to the many wineries in Napa Valley (& the Napa Valley Wine Train), the picturesque town of Yountville, & the quaint Oakville Grocery Store. The town of Sebastopol is also close by and offers tasty sandwiches for your beach picnics: Giovanni’s & Whole Foods Market. The people of Bodega Bay are extremely friendly! From the Tides Wharf to Pelican Plaza Grocery to the post office, you are greeted with a smile & attitude to please. We can't say enough about Mike & Mia (owners of Casa Bella). Mike works "behind the scenes" & even does windows-literally! Mia was very helpful in coordinating our visit & answering all our questions prior to our arrival & during our stay. They were very respectful of our privacy. However, if we requested anything at all, it immediately appeared. We can't thank them enough for making us "feel at home" in Casa Bella!!!

  Here is the Crown Jewel of this property - the Pacific Ocean view, sounds of waves crashing and cool breeze are a couple hundred feet away. The property is clean, decorated with a home spun touch and well equipped for hanging out, cooking and a good base camp for winery visits. The patio is a landscaped oasis protected from the harsh wind and sea affects. The house is one level except for the loft which contains the cool HDTV with surround sound, it is wheel chair and handicap friendly ( but could use some retrofitted bars in one of the bathrooms). The travel time to SFO is about 2 hours and is a fairly easy scenic trip. I will list some Sonoma/Napa towns, restaurants, wineries and other local points of interest or travel. These suggestions are my opinions, locals opinions, trip advisor or napatouristguide and are by no means all inclusive but represent my travels. Towns: 1. Bodega Bay - on the ocean, quant, good food 2. Castiloga (Napa) - scenic walking town, proximity to wineries, nice homes 3. Sebastopol (Sonoma) - good crossroads, scenic, wineries, farmer's market 4. Sonoma - good food, scenic, wineries, ethnic, doorstep to Sonoma Valley 5. Napa - River Mill area, scenic, doorstep to Napa Valley, Silerado Trail 6. Yountville - high end restaurants, scenic 7. Occidental - Bohemenian Highway, hard to find, carved into mountain 8. Lake Tahoe - glacial lake, hiking, boating, golf Restaurants: 1. Bistro Jeanty - Yountville French lunch (quality of fine dinner) 2. Angele - Napa French dinner high end 3. Terrapin Creek Cafe - Bodega Bay American, lunch good quality 4. Inn ath the Tides - Bodega Bay Italian/American very good basic food 5. Union Hotel - Occidental Italian, good minestrone soup/ antipasto huge portions, very friendly 6. Farmhouse Inn - Russian River Valley, price fixed dinner (overpriced), good main dish limited menu Wineries: 1. Artesa - Napa great 360 degree view, infinity pools, sculpture 2. Lynmar - Sebastopol nice view, pizza oven, bldg is open to outside 3. Ledson - North Sonoma, grand estate, tile roof, friendly staff 4. Peju - Middle Napa, good tour, facilities, landscaping, friendly staff 5. Mantanzas Creek - North Sonoma, lavendar fields, views, landscaping, tasting room 6. Jacuzzi - South Napa, olive oil tasting products, free tasting, tasting room

  We have been staying at Casa Bella for over 6 years. We try to get there 2-4 Times a year. We had tried many other places but feel we've found our retreat distination by the ocean. We were pleasantly surprised on our first visit because it was better than the pictures on the Internet. The location is wonderful with easy access to the many interesting things to do in the surrounding area. There's the North Coast, Wine Country, and San Francisco just to name a few. Or if you just want to read, watch and listen to the ocean, watch movies, watch the birds and other wild life, and/or have a glass of wine this is your place. We have been able to enjoy all the change each season brings. We have experienced wind, rain, sun, and fog. No snow yet. We make it a point to walk on the beach to see how the ocean and beach changes each day. Nature is so amazing. It's been easy working with Mike and Mia. They have been "Johnny on the Spot" when we've needed assistance. They have been very accommodating in meeting our individual needs. The house speaks for itself....GREAT.....! It's alway clean and in good repair. The decor is fun and colorful. Mia could have been a decorator. Mike and Mia do a good job keeping the house and property in ship shape condition. Just left today and alreay looking forward our next trip.

  We recently spent 5 nights at Casa Bella with our two kids and our good friends. The pictures do not do the home justice. It is a very nicely appointed home with ample space and a tremendous view. Because our kids are small, we stayed close to the house a lot and were never want for things to do. Even though we traveled with our little ones, we still expected a level of sophistication and were not disappointed. The bedrooms are large and comfortable and having access to 4 full baths made our stay very comfortable. I highly recommend Casa Bella to anyone looking for a fabulous place to stay in Bodega Bay, with kids or not. Mia, the owner/manager was very gracious and helpful. We plan to return to this home in the future.
