We have been staying at Casa Bella for over 6 years. We try to get there 2-4 Times a year. We had tried many other places but feel we've found our retreat distination by the ocean. We were pleasantly surprised on our first visit because it was better than the pictures on the Internet. The location is wonderful with easy access to the many interesting things to do in the surrounding area. There's the North Coast, Wine Country, and San Francisco just to name a few. Or if you just want to read, watch and listen to the ocean, watch movies, watch the birds and other wild life, and/or have a glass of wine this is your place. We have been able to enjoy all the change each season brings. We have experienced wind, rain, sun, and fog. No snow yet. We make it a point to walk on the beach to see how the ocean and beach changes each day. Nature is so amazing. It's been easy working with Mike and Mia. They have been "Johnny on the Spot" when we've needed assistance. They have been very accommodating in meeting our individual needs. The house speaks for itself....GREAT.....! It's alway clean and in good repair. The decor is fun and colorful. Mia could have been a decorator. Mike and Mia do a good job keeping the house and property in ship shape condition. Just left today and alreay looking forward our next trip.

We recently spent 5 nights at Casa Bella with our two kids and our good friends. The pictures do not do the home justice. It is a very nicely appointed home with ample space and a tremendous view. Because our kids are small, we stayed close to the house a lot and were never want for things to do. Even though we traveled with our little ones, we still expected a level of sophistication and were not disappointed. The bedrooms are large and comfortable and having access to 4 full baths made our stay very comfortable. I highly recommend Casa Bella to anyone looking for a fabulous place to stay in Bodega Bay, with kids or not. Mia, the owner/manager was very gracious and helpful. We plan to return to this home in the future.

Our family spent a week and loved the house, the location, the views, the proximity to the beach and the ability to include our German Shepherd. The property was well maintained, and contained everything we needed for the week. I would recommend this property to friends. Even though it rained while we were there, we were cozy and loved the views and the ambience of the welcoming home

Our stay at Casa Bella was wonderful! We had a mix of beautiful and windy/rainy weather and Casa Bella turned out to be a perfect place for either. During our rainy day we were able to watch the ocean waves in the cozy loft through huge picture windows. Our sunny day was spent walking on the beach (which is literally across the street) and sitting out in the sun right out the backdoor. We had plenty of space to spread out but still feel connected. Thank you for a great break. We hope to be back next year!

We recently celebrated my birthday at this fine property. We have stayed at a number of properties in bodega bay over the years. I found this property superior to the ones I have stayed at salmon creek or the golf course. The reasons we liked it better were many, but it starts with the spectacular ocean view. The view is truly the gold standard for unobstructed ocean views in the bodega bay area. In addition, we liked the number of rooms which provided privacy for those who wanted to go to bed early and those who wanted to stay up and watch TV in the loft. The four bathrooms and three bedrooms provided all with comfort and convience. I would give the property an unqualified recommendation. Jon

My stay at Casa Bella was truly magical. I had high expectations from the web portrayal but they were exceeded by a property that is uniquely situated to maximize enjoyment at the beach. Views of the crashing waves and the beach and ocean were available throughout the house. We were entertained by a great selection of movies, music and books. Being the foodies we are we fixed gourmet meals in a well outfitted kitchen and dining area. We were able to walk out the back door and be on the beach in seconds! Mia was a great hostess who was attentive to our needs. HIGHLY RECOMMEDED.

Our family gathered for the holidays and Casa Bella was the perfect set-up - amazing ocean views directly from the house, comfortable floorplan with ample space and privacy for three couples, and a great location to use as a launching pad for day trips around the northern California coast and wine country. And the owner was very responsive and accommodating in the process.

This beach house is beautiful and the location is perfect. No neighbors to one side since it is at the end of the street and so quiet. Portuguese Beach is right across the street and the sound of waves crashing on the shore is a perfect way to end the day, as they can be heard from the house. The owners are very quick to respond to any correspondence and are super friendly. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a nice getaway. It is also a great spot to call base as you explore other areas that are within driving distance. We went to Armstrong Redwoods and Guerneville as well as a short drive up to Jenner.

Just finished a ladies weekend getaway with my high school friends (we have known each other for over 25 years). Casa Bella was perfect in every way. The location just can't be beat. The home overlooks the ocean, and is just steps away from Portuguese beach. October weather was just fantastic-80 degrees during the day and nice and cool in the evening. Every room in the house had an ocean view. I can't wait to return with my family!

Casa Bella was a wonderful rental. The house is set up for a family looking to relax and is walking distance to the beach. At night you can listen to the ocean sounds from the living room and bedrooms. We BBQ'd and played with the dogs in the backyard and enjoyed our time there. Thanks again!

VIsited Mia and Mike's Casa Bella prior to daughter getting married in Napa. The house and accomodations were wonderful and the views are breathtaking. Mia and Mike were so helpful during our stay providing points of interest and great places to dine. River's End was fantastic. We took day trips around the area to see the coastline and the redwoods and had some great wines. We will return some day.

This was our first trip to Bodega Bay and the northern Californian coast and we will be returning. We loved our week here and did not want to come home! Amazing coastline and Casa Bella is such a great place to explore from. The views from the house are amazing and just sitting watching the sea and sun sets was so restful and beautiful. The property is extremely well equipped inside and out, the master bedroom has wonderful views and we enjoyed having a bathroom each! The kids enjoyed the "TV space" with comfortable sofas and a huge TV to chill out in front of. The huge range of kitchen equipment allowed us to buy local food and cook ourselves - we would recommend the Trout Farm where you can catch your supper which was great fun! The house is clearly well cared for, extremely well presented and about as well equipped as any rental property I have come across. Would not hesitate to highly recommend.

This is the perfect beach getaway. The description of the property was very accurate, infact we thought it was even better than described. The property is very clean and well maintained. The walk to the beach is quick and easy. We loved all of the attention to detail that we found in the house and outside sitting areas. Restaurants are close enough. Views from everywhere in the house are spectacular. We would totally without hesitation recommend the Casa Bella. We're planning on returning, a weekend there is just not enough. If you are looking for a beautiful setting and lots of relaxation, you need to book the Casa Bella.

I recently spent Memorial Day Weekend here with my boyfriend, his 2 boys, and my dog. We LOVED the house, the location and views are amazing! The description and photos are very accurate, the ocean views from throughout the house are very relaxing, peaceful and fantastic to look out onto as you are enjoying the house either in the bedrooms, living room, upstairs den (with a fabulous u-shaped comfy couch for family TV/Video watching) or the dining room. The outdoor areas are wonderfully landscaped and so enjoyable! We loved the outdoor sitting areas while grilling out and the backyard table that is in the photo above with the ocean views. The location is excellent, with a very short stroll to Portugese Beach which was great for beach combing and is also dog-friendly. The house was so well equipped, we were really impressed and didn't lack for anything! We loved the supply of toiletries in each bathroom and the fully stocked kitchen. Excellent rental, we will definitely come back! Highly recommend it, it's worth it!

My wife and I decided to do a last minute get away for Easter weekend. Casa Bella was available and so we were off for some 1 on 1 time. From the moment that we pullud in to the driveway we knew that we had a new place to frequent and even before we unpacked we talked about future visits. Everything they had described was true. It is just a wonderful place. You really don't need to bring anything besides clothes and food. Thank you Mia for everything and being so nice. We will be talking soon. Rich and Rene

Casa Bella exceeded our already high expectations in location, comfort, and amenities. It was so wonderful to have four full bathrooms and great sleeping places for the 6 of us. We were all so pleased and not least our two small dogs who loved the enclosed patio and the close-by Portuguese Beach. Others in our extended family gathering rented Crow's Nest up the hill and the combination of the two homes was perfect! Mia is an absolute delight to work with and more accommodating than I can describe. I cannot recommend Casa Bella and renting from her highly enough. I hope we'll be back!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa Bella this week. Although it rained most of the time we enjoyed the quaint and cozy wood stove, the windows looking out to the waves and the private courtyard for relaxing moments. We also ate BBQ oysters for the first time and they were great! We played games, took a very short walk to the beach, sat on the lawn to watch and photograph the beautiful sunset. It was overall a relaxing and fun place to call home for the week.

GREAT home for a group. Four couples rented the home for NY Eve. Very clean; good location; beautiful views of the ocean; all amenities were good. Owners were very accommodating and were responsive to all of our questions and phone calls. They are working on upgrades to the kitchen, ie. dishwasher, and suggest items be removed from kitchen countertops so there is more room to work in. I highly recommend this home for a great get away.

We have been renting vacation homes around the world, and this one was our family's favorite. Watching the tides and waves was hypnotizing...had to tear ourselves away to go to the nearby wine country. On our last night in Bodega Bay, we gazed at the most starlit sky we have ever seen...would have lay down on the driveway if weather had permitted, to watch them all night. All the art and fine details around the house, not to mention the holiday decorations, made us feel right at home. We will be back for sure.

Six ladies with 4 bathrooms, how wonderful! It was a cold, windy, rainy December weekend but oh, so warm and cozy inside. Beautiful views from most rooms in the house! So we could watch the birds, fishing boats and waves from your home that was everything and more than you described. It was too cold to BBQ as planned but we found your rotisserie that did the job, maybe even better. We barely left the comfort of the place, it was soooo relaxing. Music library included holiday tunes, decorations were festive, sitting by the tree visiting kept us from enjoying the extensive dvd library. In fact, we rarely turned on the tv's provided, even in bedrooms. We look forward to another stay when there's warmer weather to enjoy the outdoors and courtyard more. Thanks for sharing your beautifully appointed home!

Our stay at Casa Bella was a delight right from the beginning. The care takers were very helpful and thoughtful during from the moment we contacted them about our extended stay to the moment we departed. Location, Location, Location… within step’s of the beach, less than 5 minutes to several stores, restaurants, the harbor and stunning views. When we could pry ourselves away from Casa Bella, we were visiting one of the hundreds of wineries within an hour (great people there too), visiting national parks, enjoying Sonoma & Napa Valley’s and of course Bodega, where we enjoyed a Halloween party dressed as Tippy (Birds) and a Vampire. The home is great for entertaining inside and out (fun dishes and serving pieces), grill, courtyard, kites, games, etc… We entertained during our stay with plenty of room and amenities to keep everyone happy… Thank You!

We like to "bird" so it was great to buzz in to Bodega Bay and hit all of the "hot spots" it has to offer. Chowder at Spud Point is a must. Owners were great to work with. Casa Bella has all the amenities we needed and more. I would highly recommend this house for your next sea adventure.

Casa Bella turned out to be perfect for our first family vacation. Parents, grandparents and grandkids - we were able to be together in this cozy, comfortable, roomy home or find plenty of spots for quiet alone time. The loft was such a special place to read or have a conversation or watch a movie with the kids...and the view!! The house was decorated with such personal care inside and out. It felt so welcoming. The first two days of our stay the weather was cloudy and misty but warm enough to explore the beach or sit outside to enjoy the view and the sound of the ocean. Saturday brought sunshine and a beautiful sunset. What a wonderful experience we had! We are already talking about next year at Casa Bella.

We so enjoyed our stay at this lovely home just north of Bodega Bay. It really was a wonderful setting! For our family of 6 adults, it was perfect. 8 would have worked as well. What a treat to have 4 bathrooms too. Although the home is just across Highway 1, you feel like you are on the beach from every single room in this home. It is so well designed. The owners were absolutely delightful to communicate with and that made the process so nice. We really had a memorable stay and we look forward to another vacation in Bodega Bay at this home. It is a "home"; it feels homey and is so well equipped! For example, we bought a kite as there is a beautiful natural front yard that is perfect for flying kites. Well, we then found several kites in the garage. The walk to the beach is simple! You can hear the waves crash softly. It was fresh and clean and felt like a bit of paradise. Even if the weather isn't perfect, the setting is! Many thanks for this glorious visit to your Casa Bella by the sea!

Casa Bella is a wonderful setting for enjoying the spectacular Sonoma coast. The home provided a marvelous array of surprises, both inside and out, as well as adventures that exceeded our expectations. The setting is beautiful for watching the breakers from the beach, the lawn, or from inside the home. A variety of hiking trails and many intriguing public beaches along the Sonoma coast, from easy to challenging, are only minutes away. Be sure to get a map of the Sonoma coast beaches and trails. Many other adventures are within reach, e.g., Point Reyes, Fort Ross, Russian River, and the wine country. We love the Bodega Bay area and the Sonoma Coast. The month we spent at Casa Bella in January 2010 was truly special. It was the second year we stayed in the area and was by far the best because of Casa Bella, its location, and Mia and Mike. They were friendly, accommodating, easy to reach by phone or email, and very responsive to any questions that came up.

Spent a wonderful, relaxing New Year's weekend with 6 friends to celebrate a special birthday. The house was still decorated for the Christmas holidays which made for a very cozy and festive atmosphere. Wood burning stove worked perfectly and was fueled by a generous supply of wood; but the home was warm and comfortable without the stove. Rooms are well furnished and beds are quite comfortable. Those who napped on the upstairs sofa reported that it did a very good job of putting them right to sleep! Towels and linens were just fine. Hair dryers are provided, which is very nice. Washer and dryer are new and could be a real help to a group with children or adults who like to get messy. Bring "he" low suds detergent. We easily slept two couples and two singles with no problem. Dining room sat 8 at table with no problem. A well stocked kitchen made cooking some special meals very easy. Driving up from Contra Costa County, we stopped in Sebastopol for provisions at the Whole Foods (bring two wallets). The walk to the beach is very literally right across the street. Children will require help crossing busy HWY 1, but traffic is manageable. Then walk down the steps to the beach. Drive into cute Bodega Bay and check out the small antique shops or drive to Freestone to Wild Flour bakery for some delicious treats. The home's enclosed garden is beautiful and while the winter weather made it a bit damp, we imagined it the perfect place for lunch, or reading in the warmer months. Considerations: the dishwasher is small so be prepared to do some hand washing for a larger group(not an issue for us at all). The TV is also small -- but are you going there to watch TV? Probably not; but those who need games connected to TV risk some sensory disappointment. DVD for movies upstairs and a nice BOSE CD player downstairs. Wonderful place -- highly recommend that you give it a try!

Casa Bella provided the most perfect setting for our Christmas celebration. Adult children, their parents and our grandchildren all loved everything that it offered. We have rented many homes on the Sonoma Coast and this one, by far, beats all of the rest. It is comfortable, well equipped, inviting and, most importantly, immaculate. The decor, layout, views and quaint patios all were very pleasing. Having a large decorated Christmas Tree was a bonus! Others have mentioned the beach access and views and I agree - the best ever! Thank you Mia for being so thoughtful, responsive and a pleasure to rent from.

We spent a wonderful Thanksgiving in this beautiful house! We only live 30 miles away but we felt like we were far away on a wonderful vacation! This house is truly spectacular, even better than the pictures on the web site! On our way to the house we stopped at the Tides and picked up fresh cracked crab for dinner, so good! Our first night there we had rough seas and it was so fun to listen to the pounding of the ocean as we went to sleep. Thanksgiving morning started with a walk on the beach, followed by reading and relaxing and looking out at the ocean while dinner cooked. I highly recommend this house as a vacation destination whether you live near by or if you are from thousands of miles away. You won't want to leave this wonderful place! Thank you Mia for a wonderful and restful vacation! We are looking forward to comming back again soon!

We spent our 19th anniversary at Casa Bella in late September and had a blast! The weather was warm, water was calm, and house was perfect. As the girls skim boarded, my husband and I made fools of ourselves boogie boarding in the bay and haven't laughed so hard in a long, long time. The easy walk to the beach was a plus---no goat path to clammer down after a long day of self abuse in the surf. Easy steps greatly appreciated! Thanks again!

Mia, Thanks so much for your hospitality. We very much enjoyed our three day ladies Bodega Bay Bridge Party at Casa Bella. The ocean views are wondeful and the peace, quiet, and surrounding nature very relaxing. The spaciousness of the house and the indoor-outdoor living was perfect for the 6 of us. Thank you for your prompt attention and flexiblity during our stay. We had a great time!

Wonderful home with spectacular view. Very private, clean, well stocked. Not a typical rental property. Access to beach very convenient. Courtyard at front of home very charming. Look forward to future visits.

Mia, We had a wonderful time. Your home was beautiful and comfortable and very nice for parents, who are in their 80's. The weather was also perfect; so we were very lucky! We hope to return some day. Thanks again.

The house is in excellent condition, clean and very quiet and comfortable. The ocean views couldn't be much better. It is also a very short walk to the ocean. We visited the house in late July and took a number of walks on the beach. There are very few people there, even though it is great for walking or sun bathing. I strongly recommend this rental.

We had a great family reunion at Casa Bella. There were 17 people in and out over 5 days and everyone was comfortable and had a good time. Kayaking on Valley Ford slough was excellent. The most fun we had was making giant bubbles and sending them up the hill on the gentle updrafts. It was a magical stay.

Very quiet and exactly what we were looking for.......Peace & quiet. Lots of critters (birds, deer at the sliders, etc). House has everything we needed for a truly enjoyable stay. Thanks.
