We spent a relaxing week at A-Z Lazy Lake House. The view of Lake Ontario from the deck is amazing! The sunsets and sunrises alone are worth the stay. We found the house to be warm and inviting, like a second home. There were games for the kids as well as puzzles and books for the adults. The house is cozy, yet there was more than enough room for the 5 of us (3 adults, 2 kids). About an hour drive to Niagara Falls and Fort Niagara. We have already recommended the house to others and will continue to do so. We'll be back, as well!

We spent a week at this cottage in late-Sept/early October. Fun fire in the little outside chimenea (sp?). View exactly as pictured. The descriptions are accurate but beware that it is bordered by very close neighbors. Luckily we were there in the off-season. (Everyone on Lake Ontario seems to own just a sliver of land.) The staircase to the slabs of concrete on the lakefront have a sign that says, "Use stairs at your own risk." Very risky. There was debris (car parts!) in the craggy rocks. Do not take toddlers or young children. No beach. Re the interior: It smelled very musty. Stove is small apartment stove. Mattresses were soft, linens and pillows old. The futon cover was stained and dirty. The bathtub was covered with a filthy mat, dead ants filled the sliding glass door trough. (Better than live ants!) All of those gripes are not an issue if it's your dirt, your mildew, your ants, and your beloved lake cottage. We were expecting something better as guests. Lots to do within driving distance. Don't miss the lighthouse, the Amish store, Niagara Falls, and even downtown Buffalo. Day-trip to Canada and Welland Canal worthwhile. The owners were very responsive to e-mails before our trip, and sent excellent directions. All transactions went smoothly. Once they fix up a few cosmetics life will be even better at the AZ Lazy.
Owner response:This is a lake cottage in the north, and this was obviously not what these renters expected. We never stated that there is a beach -- but the stairs offer easy access to large flat rock slabs where children can stand and have access to lake. The "car part" is ONE anchor that is used to secure floats, nothing more. Our small grandchildren do very well at lake, with adult supervision. Interior - Ants were not ants, but the small lake insects that gather at door at nite if lights left on, they could be swept up daily, and we clean thoroughly after each renter. Beds - new mattresses, purchase new pillows yearly. We take pride in offering a comfortable, clean place for visitors to enjoy the lake and surrounding area.

Our stay at a-z lazy lake house was very enjoyable. Everything was very clean and in excellent shape. All the appliances and utensils were provided and that made it so much easier for us to pack and enjoy the weekend. We will be back for sure.

Thanks so much for letting us stay in your lake house. It was very relaxing and alot of fun, especially the kayaks! We also put together all the puzzles we found here. We all loved s'mores around the campfire. Thanks again!

It's 7:30 AM and we are leaving now. We had a really great time in your lake house in the second week of our trip through the US. Thanks for your hospitality! We enjoyed fires at night on the lake listening to the water. We wish you all the best and will never forget our stay here. Our daughter took her first steps here! Kind regards

We are glad to have had the opportunity to stay here and will be back in the future. My wife's first taste of Yankee ice cream (frozen custard) was here, it beats her Southern ice cream! We went to see the Amish and got some quilts and rugs. That is recommended for people who want to see them. The falls at night were the best; free parking and free entrance to the outlooks. We will return for more fun memories. :)

What a great escape - this sweet little AZ Lake House on Lake Ontario. We've enjoyed the fine dining at Schimshack's and good ole home-grilled "breakfast anytime fare at Linda Lou's in Wilson. But highlight of the trip, of course, was Niagara Falls! First time event for all of us, enjoyed Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds, shopping for souvenirs. Falls lit up at night is spectacular! Even older folks can still make happy memories!

It's so nice to have a "home away from home" to stay! 100% better than staying in a stuffy hotel room. Your place is beautiful! Who knew you could watch sunsets and sunrises on the same lake! Thanks for the games, books, and dvd's and all the other amenities. We spent a lot of time touring area - Niagara Falls, Rochester, Medina, Lockport and Olcott, but it was so nice to come back every night to stay at your comfy cottage. Thanks and God bless...

This was a cute and nice little place. Wen enjoyed our stay here. It's a little hard to find, but other than that it was very nice and well equipped. The kids loved going out and skipping rocks into the water. We got to take some beautiful pictures of the sunset on the water. Thanks

We thoroughlly enjoyed our week in AZ LAZY, even tho' the first three days the weather was lousy. But the house is very friendly and cozy, and really everything is there. It is so wonderfully quiet here; you can hear the morning arrive on tiptoe. The falls are stupendous! We looked at them from both the American and Canadian sides. In short, an unforgettable week!

Our best friend was married today. This cottage was the bridesmaids' headquarters. We celebrated her last days here as a single woman and got ready for church here. This place was fabulous! Thanks.
