We live in Florida, this is our Sydney home. We will be visiting it at least once every year. It is a wonderful location to access all of central Sydney's attractions.
The apartment is 5 years old and spacious (110 square meters - almost 1200 sq ft). All furnishings are new as of 2008. There are two balconies, one accessible from the living area, the other accessible from both bedrooms. The master bedroom complex has a very comfortable USA king-size bed, a walk in closet and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has two large single beds and ample wardrobe space. The second bathroom has a tub/shower combination. There is a laundry sink adjacent to the washing machine.
The kitchen opens into the living and dining area. Two people can comfortably work in the kitchen area together. All of the major appliances (washer, dryer, oven, cook top, microwave and dishwasher) are Miele. The counter tops are granite. The kitchen is fully equipped to service 6 people. The dining table with its 6 chairs is adjacent to the kitchen. The living room has a very comfortable sofa and two armchairs. Also in the living room there is a 32 inch flat screen TV, a DVD player and a stereo system (with CD, tape player and radio). A small table is available for your laptop usage. There is a broadband internet connection and a regular landline phone. The internet router offers wireless laptop connections and connections for your internet phone.
The apartment has central air conditioning and is located on the sixth floor of an attractive building completed in 2002. Access is by lift and the building security is very complete. The building is located on a side street and traffic noise is almost non-existent. Additionally, with concrete floors and ceiling soundproofing, noise from other units is rare.
The Sydney casino (Star City) is less than 2 minutes from our building and the Casino's Light Rail station and bus stop are the closest public transportation locations. However, with this superb location, it is possible to walk to all of the central Sydney attractions. Darling Harbour, with its museums, the sea aquarium, the IMAX theatre, indoor shopping mall, ferry connection to Circular Quay and dozens of sidewalk restaurants is an 8 minute walk. Circular Quay, the Botanical Gardens, the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge are a 25 minute walk.
There are 2 good supermarkets within a 5 minute walk of our building and there are at least half a dozen eating places closer than the Darling Harbour restaurants.

We used the owner's comprehensive prearrival information to make the most out of our stay at this ideally located apartment. Darling Harbor and the big fish market are within walking distance. The tram, only steps away from the apartment, takes you to the Central train station, which in turn connects with Circular Quay and many other points of interest, and taxis are abundant at nearby Star City casino. The best thing about this apartment after a day of touring was knowing we had so many great restaurants to choose from on arrival home. One night we ate at a fabulous Indian restaurant, the next Persian, and our last night capped it off with a scrumptious dinner at an Indonesian restaurant, all of them small, intimate and friendly with a real neighborhood feel. The apartment itself is as described, with everything in perfect working order. The only thing lacking were a couple of umbrellas, as the weather was rainy all four days of our stay. Recommended.

Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 pre-teen kids) enjoyed our week in this well-maintained, roomy for the city apartment. The listing description and photos are very accurate and the owner was extremely helpful and provided adequate, useful and detailed information before and during our stay. The complex gym and swimming pool were particuarly enjoyable after exploring the city as were the great matresses. We will definitely recommend this rental and have done so already. We particualry enjoyed the exhibitions at the Maritime Museum, using the ferries and visiting the famous Opera House. What a delightfully memorable week it was!

I agree the location is great, but that is it. We had major issues getting the key to the apartment because the local help forgot to leave the keys for us at a pick up spot. We incurred major taxi fees following the owners recommendations to hold the cab to get the key because the apartment is uphill from the drop point. Then the apartment was only set up for 4 instead of 5. My mother in law had to sleep on a couch and then we were given a 2 inch pad for her to sleep on the floor. We were informed after staying the first night that the heat is not working and has not worked for 2 months. We were never informed prior to our winter stay that there would be no heat. We do not recommend this apartment.
Owner response:This was the almost perfect storm! The visitors changed their arrival time to early evening requiring us to leave the keys at a different location. Also, after booking for 4 people they added a fifth. We failed to handle both of these changes correctly. To make matters worse, the replacement pump for the blowup beds was not purchased in time because we did not realise that it was a 5 person visit. We had to use a substitute bed. Needless to say we will be making every effort to not be embarrased by such management failings in the future! I need to add a couple of points our visitors overlooked. They were compensated 4 times more than the extra taxi charges they incurred. They also failed to mention that, although the central heating system was not working, space heaters were provided so that the apt was anything but unheated. Finally I enclose a copy of the last eamail received from these visitors prior to them leaving the apt: Hi David, Despite the initial shortcomings, we enjoyed our stay. Please note, we only received one set of keys from Sylvia. we did not pick up the additional set of keys from tHe hardware store. Sincerely

If you read the other reviews you will see that the apartment is in a good location and the owner is very helpful, and responds quickly to emails and questions, plus has a helpful local person who helped answer an apartment question when we were there. We had five in our party, one person had to sleep on a portable bed but had no complaints ( we knew this would be the case and so it was not a surprise ). All money transactions very went very smoothy. Nice to have the Wifi available and included.

Owner was very helpful and easy to work with. Easy walk to the ferry in Darling Harbor. Close to the Sydney Explorer bus stops. You can walk to Circular Quay, but much easier to take the ferry.

My family and I rented this apartment for two weeks in October, 2010. The owner is great and easy to work out details with. The apartment is immaculately clean and has all the amentities you could want! It is in a quite section of the city but easy to get to everything you might want to visit. This apartment allowed us to stretch out in a way you cannot in a hotel. It made our vacation much much more enjoyable.

We stayed there for 4 days with 2 adults and 3 teenagers. Very impressed. Good location for tourist spots, close to everything inc shops, grocery stores, liquor stores etc. Very secure. Apartment was well appointed with quality fixtures and fittings. Owner was great to deal with. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed here for a long weekend in May and were very impressed. The location is terrific--walk to Darling Harbour and even the Paddington Markets. Right across the street from Star Casino, so we took in a show and even won a few dollars. The apartment is secure, spacious and comfortable and the owner is very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommended for families and singles.
