The combination of 240 days of sunshine, spectacular natural beauty and a wealth of recreation activities makes the San Juan Islands your perfect year-round getaway. On the Bellevue Farm you will enjoy great blue heron, bald eagles, deer, fruit-filled orchards and open pastures with sweeping views of Westcott Bay.
A community waterfront beach and estuary serve as your private nature preserve, with walking trails and bird watching. The home has true southwest exposure providing all day sunlight and warmth and has been fully renovated to carefully maintain the historical look and feel. Your family will enjoy recreational activities like bicycling, boating, fishing, golf, hiking, kayaking, spa, swimming, sight seeing and whale watching.
This charming 1 bedroom house is located on 5 acres with 2,100 feet of low-bank waterfront access on coveted Westcott Bay, just a short walk to Roche Harbor. There is an adjacent 3 bedroom Farm House on separate 5 acres that can be rented together. It has its own VRBO listing titled 'Historic Waterfront Home next door to Roche Harbor'.
For your use while in residence are four kayaks (two doubles and two singles) and a huge waterfront fire pit. Feel free to help yourself to any of the produce growing in the estates garden or pick apples, pears and plums from the orchard.
New in 2012 we have a shared hot tub for the three houses. It sits off by the garden so it's at least 75 yards from each of the houses so not to disturb any of our guests

We love traveling in October if not just to void the crowds. My husband, son and I stayed at the Hatch House and from it explored the trails at American and English Points, Lime Kiln State Park, went to the Lavender Farm and visited local artist studios and vineyard. We enjoyed cozy Roche Harbor (and I snuck away to the Afterglow Spa - fantastic!) We initially planned to explore other islands in the five days we were in the San Juans but found plenty to do on San Juan and we never even got to biking or kayaking. The great bookstores in Friday Harbor lead to cozy reads at the cabin as we baked pies from the apples on the property. I'd love to return.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend with my family and had a great time! The cottage is very charming and I loved the vaulted ceilings. Even though the weather was cold, windy and rainy outside, we stayed nice an cozy inside. We actually got one sunny day and took advantage of it and managed to find enough apples in the orchard to make two apple pies. It was a great addition to Thanksgiving dinner. The kitchen was small but we still managed to produce a very nice thanksgiving meal with all the fixings. Could have used a bit more closet space as well but a small price to pay for 4 days of relaxation. Would definitely consider staying here again!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing.
