Located on the scenic North Shore of St. Croix, Gentle Winds is a private beachfront condominium community with a sandy beach and 60 acres of tropically landscaped and professionally maintained grounds.
Our condo is one of only 66 condos. The condo was completely renovated in 2007 and decorated by one of the Caribbean’s foremost interior designers,Twila Wilson & Associates. The well-appointed condo is furnished with top of the line appliances and first class amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. It was also featured on the February 2007 St. Croix house tour.
The condo boasts an enclosed garden room, which leads directly to the pool and beach area, as well as a vestibule area that doubles as a library for an ideal sitting area. The kitchen is fully equipped to meet the needs of the most fastidious chef. There is also a large Weber Gas Grill located just outside the condo.
The master bedroom has a Queen size bed, and the second bedroom has two twin size beds(which easily converts to a King size bed). There is a stereo unit with a 5-disc CD player, an IPOD connector, a DVD player, and two Sony televisions-one located in the living room and one in the second bedroom. The televisions have cable including HBO. High speed internet service is included. Weekly housekeeping service is also provided at no additional cost.
Gentle Winds is one of the most beautifully maintained tropical communities in the Carribean, mixing 5-star resort amenities with the charm of a friendly neighborhood. Beachcombers have access to lounge chairs, beach huts and snorkeling. There are also an adjacent pool and a beach bar where one can enjoy a drink and a great lunch. Tennis courts and a practice golf hole round out the many activities at Gentle Winds.
Outside Gentle Winds, there is much to see and do in St. Croix, particularly in the two main towns of Fredriksted and Christiansted. Each is renowned for their many excellent restaurants and shopping. In addition to a casino, there are two outstanding professional eighteen-hole golf courses- the Championship Robert Trent Jones Carambola Golf Course, and the breathtaking seaside Buccaneer Hotel Golf Course, both within short drives. Some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving in the Caribbean await you at nearby Cane Bay Beach, and deep sea fishing and Kayaking is available at a nearby marina. One can also take a trip to Buck Island, visit the Cruzan Rum factory, or take a horseback ride or jeep on one of St. Croix’s many scenic backroads.
