We rented this house on Deep Creek Lake to enjoy the beautiful area and roads in western MD, WV and PA. The house was located exactly where it was described, was easy to get to, and had plenty of parking. The photos for the property accurately reflected what we got. The house was in an excellent location, close to a super Walmart, restaurants (although we ate mostly at the house), movie theater, etc. The house was home for 8 of us for the week 22-29 Sep 2012. It provided everything that they had listed in the description on VRBO and was super clean. All the amenities listed (hot tub, pool table, BBQ grill, etc) were in working order. There were plenty of pots, pans, dishes, etc to take care of all the meals we cooked there. We had the lake out the back of the property a mere 100 feet from the house. The fall foliage around the lake and the area was starting to turn color, so we had the added bonus of enjoying many beautiful scenes as we rode around the area. We will definitely come back to this area and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great house in a great location.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.

My husband and I took our three children and their families for a summer vacation to this lovely home. It is beautifully and comfortably furnished and just as described and pictured on the website. We are a family of 12, there was plenty of room for all of us. Swimming right off the prorperty was a plus. While there are activities available nearby our family found it easy to entertain ourselves right at "home". Everything was ready for us upon our arrival, all we had to do was unpack and have fun. The owners were very helpful and responded to any questions we had promptly as we planned our trip. We will definately be returning for a repeat engagement, all the children (ages 11 to 17) voted this location preferrable to the beach!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We rented this house for an extended winter weekend to celebrate Grandma's 80th birthday. The house accommodated 14 people comfortably, with a master BR on the main level. The listing description is accurate regarding the location, and the photos accurately reflect the property's true appearance. All the beds were extemely comfortable with the exception of the sofabed in the family room. While the house slept 14 comfortably, we would have preferred that one room have single or bunkbeds for some of the kids (rather than queens with daybeds.) But this was not a huge drawback. The house is beautifully furnished and spacious, and the kitchen is well-equipped, although you should bring your own condiments, kitchen and bathroom supplies, detergents, etc. There were enough towels and sheets for 14, but the extra towels we brought came in handy. It was wonderful having 5 bathrooms! The pool table and hot tub, along with two fireplaces, were huge hits with this large family. The house was easy to access, and we were pleased that we could manage the heat on the multiple levels so that everyone was comfortable. The owner is lovely and answered all questions promptly and was very helpful in providing extra information about restaurants, amenities, etc. We highly recommend this well maintained and obviously much loved home. In addition, we had a big family dinner in a private room at the Cornish Manor Inn in Oakton, Maryland - about a fifteen minute drive from the house. The food, service and ambiance there were excellent! Tubing, snowboarding, and the spa at Wisp were fine, and some of us used the (small) exercise room/ indoor pool at the Wisp Resort for $7/person for four hours.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
