Stayed here last summer and hoping to do it again soon... The house is very secluded and makes you feel as though you are away from it all! House was great, everything we could have asked for. Owners were very accommodating, if we ever had a question they were always there to help. Loved the large yard space and how close it was to Bass Lake!!

The house sits in a very secluded neighborhood a few minutes walk from Bass Lake. The delightful town of Pentwater is a five minute drive away and there is a Meijer and a WalMart within a 15 minute drive. The house backs up to thick woods and there are no noisy neighbors nearby. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and the occasional visit from a family of deer. The deck is elevated so we weren't bothered by bugs when sitting out. The house was clean on the inside when we arrived and all was in working order. As promised the house sleeps 6 - 8, although with more than 4 you will want to bring extra placesettings and silverware. Also, the outdoor charcoal grills were very small, so please be prepared. Be sure to bring your own sheets, towels and bath soap. The house is on a well water system that failed to provide regular pressure. We had to stagger our showers and dishwashing because of this. There is a small TV in the front room with a built-in VHS player but no DVD. The price is right, but the amenities could be better. Providing a few more placesettings, stocking up on kitchen supplies such as a cutting board and adding curtains or blinds for the bathroom windows would afford guests a more enjoyable stay. Simply knowing this ahead of time and bringing plenty of your own supplies will make a real difference when you stay at this otherwise very affordable, convenient and quiet get-a-way home.
Owner response:we're sorry for the few inconveniences you had.The rental had a brand new well installed last fall so water pressure is top notch now!We also installed a dvd player,although most people dont find a tv necessary in this beautiful place with so much to do.Bathrooms are on the second story,but there are curtains on windows.Thanks for the helpful input,now it is the perfect getaway!!!!
