Location: Surprise, Greater Phoenix Area, Arizona, USA (Del Webb's Sun City Grand Northwest corner of Phoenix area) View Map
Accommodations: Home, 2 Bedrooms + Den, 2 Baths (Sleeps 4-6)
Relax in this spacious, 2000 square foot home overlooking the fifth fairway of the Desert Springs Golf Course in the award winning Del Webb Sun City Grand Community. This two bedroom, two bath retreat features a wide open backyard with beautiful mountain and golf course views, spectacular sunsets and wireless internet in an upscale, adult community with outstanding golf, swimming and health club facilities and great restaurants within the facility !
Most homes in Sun City Grand back up to each other and have small backyards with little privacy. This home is uniquely positioned so that it has an expansive backyard (where you will occasionally see rabbits and quail scamper by) with privacy and long views across the golf course with Mountain Views to your left and right.
The home is set back from the golf course and out of the direction of play so that the wonderful spring and fall Phoenix climate can really be enjoyed outside as you BBQ on the new gas grill - and the sunsets across the golf course and mountains are simply spectacular - see the pictures below ! Because of the property setback curtains can be left open to enjoy the spectacular views all day long as you relax on the comfortable new leather sofas and chairs in the living room.
The home is also unique in that is is set up with "dual master" suites which are perfect for two couples. Additionally, a den off the living room has privacy screens which can be used for sleeping in the den. High speed internet is available in the home so that your friends and family can check on their email and surf the web with ease from their computers.
The Sonoran Plaza and the Spa and Fitness Center in this Del Webb community offer state-of-the-art amenities for just about every enthusiasm. In addition to beautiful pool and exercise facilities additional amenities include a Softball Field, Woodworking Shops and Arts Studios. A few miles away, in the spectacular new Surprise Stadium, is the spring training home of the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers.
Beyond the city limits, you will find art galleries, symphonic concerts, and professional and college sports galore (the Suns, Diamondbacks, Cardinals, and Coyotes all call Arizona their home). A little further away (a morning's drive really), you'll find snow skiing in Flagstaff, hiking in Sedona and camping in the Grand Canyon.

Why the Owner Chose Surprise
We love relaxing in the backyard and watching incredible sunsets over two mountain ranges. We like the home's privacy because of its unique set back and distance from other properties. Dell Webb's quality contruction (6 inch rather than 4 inch in wall structure)makes the home really solid and cosy. The neighbors here are warm and friendly.
The Unique Benefits at this Home
You'll feel like you're at a resort in terms of the quality of the recreation center, restaurants, golf and tennis facilities.

Hi ! We're John and Diane Appler...We have have three sons in college (www.applers.com) and two vacation rentals - a large lakefront home in the Sierra Foothills (Auburn, CA - www.vrbo.com/16609)a golf course home in Del Webb's incredible Sun City Grand complex in Surprise, AZ (www.vrbo.com/17496). We simply put the income we receive from rentals back into the property to make it better and better each year. We give discounts to guests who give us useful feedback on how to make our property a more comfortable place to stay - we have many guests that we are proud return every year. We each have two cell phones and encourage our guests to call us at any time if they have any questions whatsoever.
