SUPER COMFORTABLE CABIN

Guest: Gail (Chula Vista)
Date of Stay: 08/10/11 Review Submitted: 09/14/11

Family wedding brought us up to Tahoe, and we wanted a "home" not a hotel room, even though it was just the two of us. Our main reason for selecting this home was the hot tub, we LOVED IT!, after hiking and biking and rafting it really was a pleasure to have one. We loved the cabin. It was even more than we had hoped. The owner has everything organized, and was very accommodating when we requested an early check-in. It would be great for the ski season too!

Owner response:Thanks so much for your great review. It would be a pleasure to have your family back! I am in Tahoe now getting both houses ready for the winter. Just ordered a really nice jacuzzi for the deck at our other house www.vrbo.com/9819 It should be installed by the en of October.

A great Tahoe retreat!

Guest: Michael K. (Minneapolis)
Date of Stay: 08/05/10 Review Submitted: 08/13/10

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! It was everything the owner advertised and more. We had more than enough space for just two people, but this cabin would be great for 2 couples, 3 couples, or two small families. The hot tub was perfect for the chilly mornings and evenings. And the full kitchen was a great way avoid spending all our time in restaurants (Kings Beach's dining selections are only so-so). We loved being close to the Safeway, the lake, the golf course, the casinos in incline village, and a short drive from great hiking and biking. The property was well-maintained and easy-to-use, and the owner provided very useful and clear information for using the place. I would not hesitate to recommend this cabin to others and hope that I get to stay there again sometime. Enjoy!

Perfect Family Getaway

Guest: ProudMommy (Las Vegas, NV)
Date of Stay: 07/01/10 Review Submitted: 07/09/10

My husband & I had the pleasure of staying here with our three children (ages 5 & under) and his parents during the Fourth of July holiday week. The ad and the pictures do not do the home justice. Traveling with a large family that includes young kids is always a bit overwhelming. We were relieved to find the house needed very little childproofing. The home is much more spacious than we imagined. Plenty of room for the kids & their toys. The entire home was comfortably furnished and there were plenty of towels & linens provided. The location was perfect. Walking distance to Kings Beach as well as to many shops & restaurants, including the Safeway grocery store. Although due to the highway I wouldn't recommend making the walk with kids - even in a stroller. However, even during the peak holiday weekend we didn't find driving & parking to be too big an issue as long as we arrived early (and with kids we normally do things early). There was also a gorgeous walking/bike trail within the neighborhood which ended at what at first glance looked like just a large parking lot for a baseball field. However tucked away on the opposite side of the parking lot from the field is a kids playground and a fitness trail. We will definitely stay here again on our next family trip to Tahoe!

Owner response:Thanks so much for the nice review. Need a guest who is a better photographer to take better photos than I can take! Enjoyed having your family up and setting up your vacation. So glad you loved the house as much as I do. Hope to have you back again. All the best!

Spectacular Summer Retreat!

Guest: Stan & Cindy (Paso Robles)
Date of Stay: 06/29/09 Review Submitted: 05/03/10

I am long delayed in writing this review, but we stayed here the week prior to, and including the 4th of July 2009. It is the perfect little house for a family getaway, in the perfect location! We LOVE it, will always remember our time there, and can't wait to do it again!! The fact that it is a single story cabin makes it great for seniors or families with small children, yet, it's the perfect size for up to 10 adults and small children. AMAZING!!

Date of Stay: 09/05/07 Review Submitted: 09/05/07

We were 2 grandparents, 1 daughter and 2 grandsons, age 11 and 13. Our first view of the house elicited expressions of delight. The house sits on a large lot, apparently a double, such that one feels quite secluded from adjacent homes. The house is wonderfully appointed, charming and comfortable for all of us. The kitchen has every possible need covered for those of us who like to cook. The house sits on a sloping lot with lovely trees to appreciate off the nice deck which has comfortable furniture and hot tub. We decided a lakefront home would have been no nicer than the forested area with a glimpse of the lake in the distance. It is lovely in summer and would be wonderful in winter with the large fireplace and ample wood. There was a good tv, some good books and some movies, just in case. As luck would have it, across the street was a family with 3 boys, about the ages of our two, and they had some wonderful times when we were all home at the same time. We look forward to visiting the house again in the near future. Bob and Lucille
