We loved our stay in your apartment. The location was perfect , the bed was comfortable, it was clean and quiet. After travelling around Europe for a month, it was nice to have our own place to relax in when the weather wasn´t good. We also wish to thank you for helping to arrange airport transportation. We hope to come back some time. Deb, Toni, Hannah

Thank you Nadia for the use of your spectacular apartment - we have truly made ourselves at home here. The light in the apt is wonderful, especially on a clear morning in the living/bed room. Fridge and loundry make the place much more convenient than other types of accommodation, and certainly help to save money. We advice, if you will be here a few days, to buy a small keg (5l) of your favourite Czech beer from the Tesco and put it in the place of one vegetable drawer in the fridge. On the subject of walking, we recommend a stroll up Petrin hill- there are many views to explore from meandering pathways along the hillside. Enjoy! Karen and Caleb

Our arrival at the apartment was a bit stressful because our train was running late, and our European cell phone no longer worked. When we arrived at the apartment Nadia was there to greet us in the street, escort us through the grafitti covered door, up one flight of stairs and into the apartment. She was obviously put out that we were a bit late and quickly showed us how to use the four keys required to lock and unlock doors to get in. She told us to leave the remainder of the money we owed her on the table the next day, but as we read the information on the inside of the door saying there had been recent burglaries in the complex and please keep the door locked, we asked if we could meet her in person to pay the remainder. She insisted she was too busy, and that the money would be fine. My husband and I spent much time calculating the latest exchange rate, counted the money several times and assumed she would leave slightly extra amount we were due back on the table. Instead, we received an email and a hand-written note saying that we had not left the amount of money that we are absolutely sure we had. So, about the apartment itself. The internet worked great-- the best by far in our one month journey through Europe. It was a great and quiet location for all the attractions I Prague. The National Theater is literally about a two minute walk from the apartment and we really enjoyed many operas during our stay. You can get half price tickets for most performances there one half hour before the performance. ...(Be careful with the lady selling tickets and be sure you get your discount) Despite the grafitti and the sign on the inside of the door, we felt very safe there. The apartment itself appears much more romantic and cosy in the photos, then it was in person. There was no information about how to run things like the heaters or washing machine and it wasn't all that obvious. The shower is a huge nuisance. I dreaded the daily event of sitting down to take shower. Although there were some homey touches, like house plants, etc. some of the amenities left a lot to be desired. The towels were old and threadbare, the sheets were comfy, but showed wear as well. Being a cook, I was hoping to make some meals in the apartment, but to my dismay, there were only old Teflon pots and pans available. I wouldn't cook something for my dog in Teflon. So all in all our experience was mixed. The worst part was being accused of cheating the owner, somethi

My husband stayed 3 nights on our trip through Europe. This flat is a street away from Prague's National Theater, right on the edge of Old Town and New Town in Prague. As most of our site-seeing turned out to be in Old Town and the Jewish Quarter, I wish we had been more in the heart of Old Town, but the flat was definitely close enough that we could still walk everywhere (10-15 minutes to most places). The flat itself is very spacious and charming. I loved the colorful kitchen with light blue walls and yellow tiled back splash over the sink. The main sleeping area is in the same area as the living space--it's very spacious (almost vacuous with its high ceilings)... I could do gymnastics in there! (If I had wanted to). The owner, Nadia, was very quick in responding to questions and emails. There were a couple of minor hiccups (low toilet paper, missing key, billing discrepancy), but Nadia rectified all of these matters RIGHT away and in the most courteous manner, of which we were very appreciative. Our internet worked perfectly the whole time we were there, and the phone for our local use came in very handy. The bathtub/shower is a little strange... It consists of a tub and shower head, except there is no stand for the shower head, so you must hold it up. There is a plastic partition to keep the water from spraying out, but it only goes halfway across the tub and no shower curtain.... so the only way I could shower without getting water EVERYWHERE was to sit in the tub and hold up the nozzle carefully. Nadia agrees that the engineering isn't good and does plan to make amends (maybe just a full shower curtain?) Also, while the interior of the apartment is SO charming, the facade of the building was covered in graffiti. The whole area near this building, actually, has a lot of graffiti, which made me a little wary of walking around. All in all, we enjoyed our stay! Thank you, Nadia!

The location of this apartment by the National Theatre is excellent within walking distance to all the sights. We were met at the airport and once at the apartment, we were given tips/orientation - very helpful. The apartment, in a historic building is newly renovated & comfortable. There is a big grocery store a few blocks along the main street, just go through the National Theatre and turn right...that way also gets you to Old Town & Wencelas Square. Good restaurants in neighbourhood. Prague is beautiful with lots to do & see. After a busy day we were very happy to return to our lovely apartment.

Apartment was as described in the listing. Very clean. Excellent location. There were guide books, maps, an electrical adapter for use during stay. Owner was responsive to our needs and took care of them promptly. Only a few drawbacks: 1) no dark curtains. The sheer curtains made us uncomfortable changing our clothes in the evening in the main room. 2) the locks - the use of the doors require keys to get both inside and outside the apartment. My mother would go to the downstairs courtyard to smoke and in doing so had to take the keys with her. It left me alone inside a locked apartment. Kind of a strange feeling to be inside the apartment with no way out. On the 3rd day, I emailed the owner and asked for a 2nd set of keys. They were waiting on the table upon our return from the morning sightseeing. Overall - good stay, good value for your money

We really fell in love with this apartment the moment we got there nice and warm on arrival which was much appreciated as the weather was decidedly parky(cold) outside, lovely welcome from Nadia who was a great hostess and gave us tips on local restaurants. The apartment is in a quiet non touristy area which was a plus for us as we like to be in an area where the locals live eat and drink rather than where the hordes go .The apartment was spacious clean with good internet connection and TV, great location for new and old town in close proximity but far enough away for restful nights. All in all a great short break which we will definitely repeat Prague is such a beautiful city and Nadia's apartment a perfect compliment to that beauty

My wife and I stayed here for a week in November 2010 and have mixed reviews: Pros: - Location is nice and within walking distance of several bars and restaurants. - Close to the squares and castle. Expect a 15-20 minute walk to each. - Owner supplied maps and guides for city - Lots of space - Close to train and bus stops Cons: - Heating went out for two nights/power for one Miscommunication over amount of discount (we both believe we were told 1,000 czk ($62 US) but ended up being 500 CZK (about $30 - I would've expected more, as it was November in Prague and rather chilly out). - While we slept, owner let herself into house to address the heating issue without prior notification or knocking. This was defiantly a surprise, as we expected more privacy. - Owner let herself in again to leave note inside apartment asking for payment on day before departure. We do not know if there was an attempt to knock for this as we were out but believe that if we were renting the space for the week that it was ours and ours alone. Note should've been left on the door if there was a message that needed to be sent. - Internet worked beautifully for the first three days but was totally out the last four. Had to go to local pub to communicate with owner. - No TV ( not a major one, but sometimes its nice to know whats going on in the world - especially when there are internet issues). For couples looking to have a romantic getaway or nicer vacation - I'd advice to get a hotel. For large groups looking to spend lots of time away from the apartment, this would work for you. I would clarify expectations on when owner can and should not enter unannounced.
Owner response:Dear Andrew, you are right , there was a problem with the heating for 1 night but this is the only thing I can agree on. Firstly , I knocked the door when I wanted to get in but nobody answered and I had to come into the apartment with the plumber to fix the heating as soon as possible for you. And it was fixed that day. Considered the paying, you agreed on paying upon your arrival but after 6 nights of your stay you didn´t pay and you also didn´t answer to my email request , that´s why I had to come the apartment personally and left you a message. Internet works well, but I think you forgot the password I had given you on the day of your arrival. I couldn´t help you with it since you didn´t say a word about it. Nadia

This was our first ever VRBO apartment. We didn't know exactly what to expect, but the idea sounded pretty cool. As I write this review, on my flight home, I am happy to report the experience was amazing. Everything could not have been easier. First was booking the apartment. We made a partial deposit then paid the remainder once we arrived in Prague. There was a driver waiting for us as we exited the terminal. He was very professional and friendly. We travel a lot and it is always nice to have a private ride from the airport. One the drive he filled us in on the city and the location of the apartment. The location btw, is perfect. Tons of stuff within walking distance. There is a Grocer near by, about two blocks, Albert's. Not a huge selection there, but enough to stock up on some things. You need to bring a bag with you to the grocer and a translation book. We also felt very safe there. We were out several nights very late and had no problems walking home. We loved the apartment. The bedrooms are huge and the entire apartment is clean and in great condition. When inside the apartment we locked the door and left the key in the door for safety should we need to exit. There are also lots of informational books and maps in the apartment. As stated there is no TV in the two bedroom, but you don't need it anyway. Prague is wonderful. Here is a list of our favorite things while in Prague.. spelling might be a little off… Favorite Sites: Charles Bridge, Castle Garden, and Old Town Square Favorite Resturaunts: Cafe Louvre(this is a must see IMO), KuhrKavaLemonada, Bohemian Beagle ( for breakfast) Favorite Bar: too many to list . The only bad experience we had in prague had nothing to do with the apartment or VRBO but I'll mention it anyway, it was a Taxi driver trying to get money from us saying we caused damage to his car. Watch out for bad Taxi drivers, the locals say AAA cabs are the best.

We stayed in the one-bedroom apartment for 4 nights in May 2010. The location is excellent. Good places to eat and Tesco's grocery nearby. The book of comments from previous guests includes tips about Prague. Having the driver get us at the train station was helpful since we needed a few days to figure out public transportation. We cleaned our travel clothes in the washer, put food in the fridge and enjoyed having more room than a hotel or hostel would provide. The quiet neighborhood is not touristy, but is conveniently located to most sights by walking or transport. The owner answered many questions and made us feel welcome. Excellent value!! We are planning a return trip.

Our family (w/ two very small children) stayed at the two bedroom apartment for five days. Overall, our experience was very good, we used the pick-up service recommended by the owner, which worked out very well and is highly recommended. The owner is very friendly, the location was great, only a stone's throw away from the major attractions and yet not totally swamped with tourists. Grocery stores nearby, great restaurants within a couple of blocks. The apt. is well equipped, detergent, sponge, toilet paper was stocked. A few suggestions to both the owner and future travelers: there was no TV in the two bedroom apartment, which isn't clearly indicated in the description, there were wine glasses but no corkscrew, only one water glass, the phone wasn't working, due to constructions in the streets there was no water for one day (which was kind of beyond control but something to keep in mind). The bed in the blue bedroom was very comfortable but the one in the violet bedroom was squeaky and very soft, which might be a problem for some people. Overall, we had a wonderful time in Prague and very much enjoyed our stay and this apartment certainly contributed to that. Restaurants we visited and really loved: Pizzeria Kmotra, Lemon Leaf and Oliva.

My sister and I stopped in Prague during her spring break this year and had a great time. We stayed at 33 Pstrossova which was in a fantastic location. While we bought a day pass for the public transport, it wasn't really necessary as everything we wanted to see was within walking distance: Petrin Hill, Old Town, Astronomical Clock, Wenceslas Square, etc. Subway/Metro station was only a few short blocks away. Plenty of places to eat nearby (local pubs, The Globe, Lemon Leaf, etc) and several grocers. The apartment itself has plenty of amenities to make the stay more comfortable including an extra loft bed above the kitchen. The travelers diary/log was full great tips for where things are located, places to eat, general advice.

Two of us booked the 2 bedroom aparment for 4 nights March 22, 2010. Overall it was a wonderful experience, the apartment was very spacious and our hostess very gracious. There are just a couple of suggestions I would make when you are booking the 2 bedroom and there are only 2 in your party. Upon our arrival, only 1 of the bedrooms had fresh linens. We explained to our hostess that we booked and paid for 2 bedrooms and we presumed we would have the use of both bedrooms. Because we were only a party of 2, she assumed we would by sleeping in the same bed. I explained that if we wanted to sleep in the same bed we would have reserved one of her 1 bedroom apartments. So, if you want your own bedroom and bed and you are a party of 2, make sure you tell her that you need both beds made up for you. Also, clarify with her whether or not things such as toilet paper, dish towels, etc. are going to be stocked. We had none upon our arrival, bought some at the grocery, but on the 2nd day someone had come and added these supplies. Not sure if it was overlooked originally or not, but it would appear so. Other than these minor issues, it's a great alternative to a hotel room and we would highly recommend it. Also, the driver is excellent! I recommend utilizing his services.

This spacious apartment is in a great neighborhood. We felt very safe walking home late at night. A large grocery nearby, the bus line and underground metro are a couple blocks away and within walking distance to all the major attractions. The apartment is well appointed with everything we needed to make meals, relax our tired feet and take a hot shower or tub bath. The washer and drying rack also came in handy for laundering. We enjoyed great meals in nearby restaurants, walked throughout the city from the apartment and used the metro on occasion to get a little further out to start our trek back home. This owner is terrific and responds very quickly to your needs. Transportation to and from the airport can be arranged at a very good price, the owner is good at communicating in clear and concise terms for whatever your questions may be. We would highly recommend this owner and would rent from this owner again. Momi, Nancy & John

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment for about a week in November, 2009. Throughout the booking process the owner responded to all our questions and request very promptly. As we had a family member joining us from Russia, we needed some extra paper work to obtain the visa. The owner was willing to walk an extra mile and helped us with all we needed. The apartment's biggest asset is its location: it is REALLY very close to everything; we hardly ever used public transportation. The apartment is spacious and airy; the balcony was a nice bonus too as we could enjoy the beautiful view every morning. A LOT of attractions are just steps away. As many mentioned that before, TESCO is very close. Overall, the apartment is comfortable. The bed in one of the bedrooms is squeaky though which may be a problem for someone who is a light sleeper. We would highly recommend the transportation service that the owner offers; we found it very reliable.

Nice place to stay in Prague. As others have indicated, it is a very convenient location to transportation, all the sights, groceries, etc. There are several "un-touristy"restaurants within very short walking distance. Compared to the hotels I was considering, I think this was the right choice. The only odd item, is that after we checked in, we never heard from the owner again. Calls to the # we were left with went unanswered, so we just left the key in the apartment on departure. No big deal, just odd.

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment in March 2008. It is in a wonderful location with restaurants and cafes just around the corner and is close to the river. A wonderful bakery is located on the corner. A metro stop and a Tesco market are about a 5 min walk. The neighborhood is quiet but so close to everything- its really a great balance. The apartment itself was perfect for our stay: it was clean and spacious and was the perfect place to come home to after a long day of sightseeing. Highly, highly recommended. We can't wait to come back!

We stayed in this flat in March 2008 and really enjoyed it. The location is superb, just a few minutes walk from all of the major sights in Prague and a couple blocks from a Tesco supermarket. The kitchen is really useful, we saved money by cooking several meals at home. The flat itself faces a courtyard and is very peaceful in the evenings. The city is gorgeous, we spent hours walking around absorbing the amazing architecture & history. One piece of advice: If you are arriving after dark it might be a good idea to take a taxi from the airport because the streets in the historic districts of Prague do not follow any type of grid pattern and can be confusing until you get the hang of it. We arrived during the day, took the metro, and didn't have any problem finding the place.

Rented in November, 2006. Fantastic apartment! Very clean and nicely furnished. Bathroom and kitchen updated and modern, while unit retains its older charm. Four blocks from a huge TESCO market, two clocks from nearest trolley, bakery on the corner, resturants all around. Unit faces courtyard, not street, so it's very quiet. Everything in the apartment is in good working order! The building is about 300 feet from an elementary school, so neighborhood is very safe and secure. The apartment is in a great location, so clean and comfortable, and a steal this price. Stay here...it's really very nice.
