Start and end your day on the screened porch, listening to the geese and watching the clouds' reflection on the lake as they move across the mountain tops. A wraparound porch and separate, lower level deck mean there is plenty of room for everyone to relax.
Built using Universal Design, this home includes a first level master suite with King Size bed, a jetted tub in the accessible bath, and no thresholds from the driveway to the front door. Everyone will feel at home in the relaxed, modern country style decor. A wood pellet stove in the great room makes a toasty home with no logs to haul or mess to clean up. The kitchen is fully stocked with basic supplies and utensils (of course, this includes a microwave and coffee maker!) Linens, towels, and "starter supplies" are also provided.
The second floor bedroom suite also has a King Size bed, reading chair, and full bath. A spacious loft overlooking the great room is home to a comfortable reading (or napping....) nook with a leather chair, ottoman, and window overlooking the lake and Cacapon Mountain.
If you have to work or just can't break that internet habit, DSL is available, as is Direct TV, and a DVD and VCR player (complete with video/DVD library). Finally, a washer and dryer means no need to overpack.
The home is in a quiet community adjacent to Cacapon State Park, which has a lake for swimming and boating, trails to hike, horseback riding, and golf. It is about 15 minutes south of Berkeley Springs and its spas, antique stores, shopping and delightful restaurants. |
