Imagine waking to the sounds of the breaking surf in the newest and most luxurious home in Kekaha. Welcome to “Hale Kahakai”, our brand new, custom built, West Kauai beach house! You’ll be amazed when you walk through the front doors and experience the incredible ocean view and all the unique features this home has to offer.
There are 4000 square feet of luxurious living space, an ocean side hot tub, original oil paintings, a recreation room, indoor and outdoor dining, a state of the art kitchen, soaring ceilings and of course, the best view of the longest white sand beach in the entire state of Hawaii. The sunsets are a show every night and in the winter months, you have a front row seat as you watch the whales play.
Even the fussiest chef would be proud to create an island feast in our incredible “gourmet” kitchen which features a beautiful hand hammered copper sink, solid soapstone counter tops, Jenn-Air stainless appliances and a flat top stove.
You’ll feel like Hawaiian royalty in the majestic, air conditioned master suite, with it’s king bed, huge walk-in closet, TV and DVD Player. The master bath is one of the most impressive rooms in the entire house with it’s beautiful walk in Travertine shower, gold vessel sinks, cherry cabinetry and a roman Jacuzzi tub for two. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have queen beds. All bedrooms have A/C, ceiling fans, TVs and DVD Players.
The main living area of this home was designed to bring that outdoor feeling inside. The glass pocket doors slide completely out of the way to open the 500 Sq. Ft. lanai to the rest of the house. Elegant tiled flooring, soaring ceilings, richly stained wood beams and a one of a kind coral rock wall give the grand room a majestic ambiance. Nestled in the rock wall, the room boasts an atmospheric fireplace and a 42” HD Plasma Widescreen TV with DVD Player. There is also a Sony Surround Sound home theater audio system, with an in-wall sub woofer and speakers wall mounted throughout the great room. To keep you connected, we also provide free, high speed, wireless internet access throughout the house.
To stay in top shape through your vacation, you can work out in our recreation room. We have a life fitness treadmill, body ball, workout mat, light weights and even workout DVDs. After a day of hiking, swimming, surfing or whatever adventure you have chosen, be sure to relax the evening away in our 6 person hot tub! The hot tub faces the sunset, so you can even soothe your muscles at the same time you’re enjoying the colorful close of another Kauai day!
From the very spacious lanai, you can watch whales, surfers, sunbathers, swimmers, body surfers, wind surfers and of course, the magnificent westward views to the island of Niihau, 18 miles off shore, out in front of you. At night, the sounds of the ocean’s waves will rock you to sleep.
Kekaha is located on the "Sunny" west side of Kauai and is the western most town in the US. With an average annual rainfall of less than 20 inches, you are almost guaranteed a warm, sunny vacation, regardless of the time of year! Laid back Kekaha has no crowded beaches, no traffic, no tourist traps, no hotel resorts, just sun, surf and people who remember what the "Spirit of Aloha" really means.
You are also just one block from the road that leads to the famous "Waimea Canyon" and the "Kalalau Lookout". There are two major grocery stores less than three miles away and you are just minutes from the harbor where you can catch a sunset cruise along the NaPali coast.
Come and Experience for yourself the “No Ka Oi” (Best) in Kekaha!

* We had a great week. The house was really great. The views, space and the layout were wonderful. The kitchen was well equipped and the showers had great pressure. It was nice to have the washer and dryer on site, and the stereo system was awesome. The surroundings and furniture were very comfortable. The outdoor shower was a nice thing to have as well. We had a wonderful time and it was a great trip.

We had a WONDERFUL time, and we loved staying at Hale Kahakai. I really don't have any negative comments. It was in a location we loved (away from the resorts), but near some beautiful beaches--we went to Polihale quite a bit. The house had everything we could think of, and grilling at night and then sitting on the deck was so relaxing. It really was a beautiful home. Since it has several bedrooms, I'm hoping to talk friends and/or family into going in on the house with us the next time we visit Kauai!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful - spacious home with us Feb/March 2010. The decor was fabulous! We spent much of our time on the lanai whale watching and enjoying the view; we just kicked back and relaxed - we just didn't want to leave. The sunsets were fabulous! It was one of the best birthdays I've had. We left with wonderful memories - memories we will never forget. A special thank you to Chad for making our stay fabulous.
