'This newly remodeled lake house is one of Big Canoe's best properties for family reunions, weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, golf outings, business and church meetings. This luxurious 5500 Sq Ft house is located on Big Canoe's Lake Disharoon, the swim club lake. Only a short walk down the back yard you find yourself at the shore of the Lake Disharoon offering the swim club with pool, wadding pool, sand beach, beach volleyball, nature water slide, paddle boats, canoes, restaurant and more. Immediately next door is the 16,000 Square Foot Big Canoe fitness center with state of the art SPA, indoor tennis, racquetball and aerobic classes.
This six bedroom/five bath house sleeps 16 in beds and sofa beds. The master suite has been totally remodeled with gas fireplace and sitting area. The master bath has a huge travertine shower with dual shower heads and Jacuzzi tub that opens on to an inviting deck with lake, mountain and golf course views. This is Big Canoe's premier property with all three views. In fact you view three of the 27 fantastic golf holes in winter and two in summer foliage. And these are available in practically every room in the house.
The remodeled kitchen has all new appliances, a six unit gas cook top, large 30 inch double ovens with microwave, pass through bar plus an eating bar. The dining area and kitchen seat 12 comfortably. The back porch with dining/game table and fireplace seating provides comfort for eleven more. The Verde Jewel [flowing green] granite counter tops make this a show piece as well as an inviting kitchen. The kitchen is supplied with an ample supply of stemware, flatware, dinnerware and cookware.
The downstairs great room has a large flat screen TV, a media area, another game table and a complete kitchenette with cook top, microwave, more granite counter tops and full size "fridge". The area is complete with pool/Ping-Pong table that provide many hours of enjoyment for the entire family and super "flow" throughout the entire house.
Plus, no house in Big Canoe is more child friendly as we have two baby beds, one Pack&Play, one changing table, a high chair and booster seats. The Little Tikes deck toys include cars, scooter, tricycle, wadding pool and more for hours of fun on massive decks in the shade of lush forest canopy. The grand child "cubbie" is sheer delight as the intimate bunks provide sleeping and story telling comfort complete with a library of bedtime story books.
But the amenities do not end here. The towel and linen service is four star quality. There is a second "master" suite with a private bath, two separate deck entrances and king size bed. In fact, the house has three kings, three queens, two doubles, three sofabeds and the "grand child hideaway" that sleeps two more children.
The main floor great room has a massive stone, gas-log fireplace with panoramic floor to ceiling windows leading onto huge decks and some of the best views anywhere. The cedar posts and beams separate the kitchen, dining and great rooms, yet gracefully tie all together. Our circular drive at the end of the street and two car garage provide not only easy house access but parking for as many as nine cars in the driveway.
Additionally, there is a newly remodeled four bedroom/four bath rental house just next door if your Big Canoe vacation group should require even more space. It is the ultimate arrangement in having your large group of up to 40+ in two separate houses just a few steps away.

- This property is on Lake Disharoon, the Big Canoe swim club lake. It is only a short walk to the sand beach, beach volleyball, nature slide, pool, 16,000 Sq Ft fitness center w/ state of the art SPA, hiking trails, indoor/outdoor tennis. It has mountain views as well as being lake front. The golf course views are excellent with two holes visible in summer and three in winter. The back porch with stack stone fireplace is a focal point on the 2500 Sq Ft of decks.

This gorgeous house was perfectly appointed for our large group and the pictures do not do it justice! We were six couples staying in this lovely home with 11 children all under the age of 4 with many little babies, and we could not think of a thing that was not provided in this house. They had pack-n-plays, highchairs, toys and games for the children and even had little mini-cars for the toddlers to use outside on the deck.....and speaking of the decks.....they were FANTASTIC!! It was also a great place for the kids to be able to get outside and still be "fenced in" so the adults could keep an eye on them while visiting. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was perfectly appointed. We have been doing this trip for almost 9 years with this big group of friends, and we always cook our own meals but always end up wishing we had more things from home. We never needed a thing on this trip. The hiking option right outside the back door were amazing and the children loved walking across the bridges and exploring the nearby lakes. What a wonderful visit we will not forget. If you are considering renting this house, GET IT - you will have a wonderful time!!
