Nestled in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains, River Vista backs up to the picturesque Coosawattee River in the quaint little town of Ellijay, Georgia. River Vista offers the perfect getaway for a romantic weekend, a fun packed week with the family and friends or a mesmerizing place to just watch the world float by! Conveniently located just 90 minutes from Atlanta or Chattanooga, River Vista is situated within the Coosawattee River Resort, an 8,500 acre gated mountain river resort.
Built in 2007, River Vista is a beautiful, secluded, wood sided, river front cabin that offers all of the latest amenities blended with the rustic beauty of a mountain setting. There is plenty of comfortable deck furniture for your relaxation on one of the three covered decks that overlook the river. Kick back and enjoy your first cup of coffee while listening to the sounds of rushing water, wildlife
The Master bedroom is on the first floor with a queen size bed, TV/DVD/VCR, private bath with both a shower and Jacuzzi type tub. The washer, dryer and half bath are also on the first floor.
The second floor has 2 bedrooms, a spacious loft with a sleeper bed and a large full bath. One bedroom has two twin beds and the other with a queen-sized bed with its own private covered deck with comfortable chairs and a beautiful view of the river.
The finished basement is approximately 525 square feet and an ideal place for children to play, watch their favor movies or read a book from the extensive library. The room is complete with a TV, DVD player, stereo/CD player. There is a large leather sectional sofa and a full size sofa bed and a queen size bed. The basement opens onto its own full-length deck complete with patio table and chairs. There are steps that lead down to the river from this level.

Our family celebrated birthday of our grandson and the new year at River Vista. There were absolutely NO disasppointments here. The accomodations were perfect for our family of 7; plenty of room for rest, eating and playing. Owners have provided the best quality of everything from very nice linens to top of the line china/silverware. Plenty of cook ware. Fire pit was fun to sit around and roast our marshmellows. So much laughter!! You can tell from the time you enter, this place has been well planned and filled with lots of love. Owners are exceptionally pleasant and available while plannng our retreat. Several girlfriends and I spent three days at beautiful River Vista and truly had a wonderful time. I had tried to find a cabin that was not the usual "sterile feeling" environment and River Vista certainly fit that bill. This cabin was so welcoming and warm , we felt like we were staying with friends. The lovely family pictures and the bear collection throughout the home added to that "home away from home" feeling. The cabin was large enough to accomodate quite a big group, but still felt cozy and had everything that you could possibly need. We especially enjoyed the big den fireplace at night and the deck for drinking our morning coffee and enjoying the fall leaves. The owners were very helpful about local dining and shopping. The only regret is that we didn"t have more time to enjoy the place! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to River Vista! The cabin (more like a luxury lodge!) was so roomy and well-stocked. We allowed our teen son and daughter to each bring a friend on our family vacation this year and we all had a great time. There was plenty of room for everyone. We chose this location because of the available amenities in the resort but we enjoyed the river, fishing, and hanging around the cabin so much that we never even used them! Our favorite thing to do was simply float down the river in our tubes....so relaxing! We made some special memories at night around the fire, making s'mores and singing while my son played his guitar. The owners were very accomodating and a pleasure to work with. MOUNTAIN & RIVER VISTA CABIN ON COOSAWATTEE RIVER - ELLIJAY,GA was absolutely beautiful. We were right on the river and tubed right to our back yard every day. There is so much to do in the area but really we didn't ever want to leave the cabin because it was so beautiful. Every room of the cabin was decorated amazingly. This vacation home overlooking the coosawattee river is simple amazing. The home had plenty of space for my family of six. My teenage son loved the basement living area....we nick-named it the man cave because he only came out when we were eating, golfing or tubing down the river....otherwise he watched TV, and we had to go there to play games because he had "moved in". We all had a wonderful week of relaxation. We were able to go to the Amicalola Falls, tubing down the river and the men played golf. We only made it into Ellijay one day because we were so relaxed we did not want to leave the house. It was very clean and had everything a family needs for a week away from home. As an extra bonus Gene & Dianne were very friendly and full of helpful information about the area. This is the perfect place if you just want to get away from it all. Very peaceful...we saw deer in the yard, wild turkeys and each morning we were greeted by a humming bird. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. Absolutely gorgeous cabin. Great location. Beautiful surroundings. Serene. Great place to forget about your stressors and relax. WOW!!! If you are looking for peace, quiet, rest, fun activities for whole family with all the extra amenities of home, well THIS IS IT!!!!! It was great to get away from all the chaos of everyday life and spend time with family!!! The town and scenery was AWESOME! We loved seeing the deer going through the back yard into the river. Why the Owner Chose Ellijay:
We chose to buy our vacation home, River Vista, in the Coosawattee River Resort for several reasons. The first reason was the beauty of the area and in particular, the Coosawattee River. It is a very tranquil setting where we feel completely relaxed. Secondly is the proximity to the Atlanta metro area. It takes us just over an hour from our home to River Vista. Lastly, there are many things to do within the resort as well as the surrounding, quaint towns.
