River Vista offers the perfect getaway for a romantic weekend, a fun packed week with the family and friends or a mesmerizing place to just watch the world float by! Conveniently located just 90 minutes from Atlanta or Chattanooga, River Vista is situated within the Coosawattee River Resort, an 8,500 acre gated mountain river resort.
Built in 2007, River Vista is a beautiful, secluded, wood sided, river front cabin that offers all of the latest amenities blended with the rustic beauty of a mountain setting. There is plenty of comfortable deck furniture for your relaxation on one of the three covered decks that overlook the river. Kick back and enjoy your first cup of coffee while listening to the sounds of rushing water, wildlife watching or “vegging” out with your favorite book. Relax…enjoy…you’re living on mountain time!
After enjoying a hardy breakfast on the outdoor dining table, spend the next few hours floating down the river or trying your luck at fly-fishing for one of those monster mountain trout! ‘Want more to do? You will find different amenities easily accessible at the Coosawattee River Resort. The resort amenities range from indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a kiddie pool, river parks, canoeing, kayaking, weight room, game rooms, miniature golf, horse shoe pits, tennis courts and basketball courts.
Grill some burgers and hotdogs on the gas grill and enjoy a picnic lunch along side the river in the back yard. Save some time for golf, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, white water rafting, shopping or antique hunting nearby. As the day winds down, cook up your favorite meal in the well appointed kitchen. After dinner, wrap up in an afghan on the porch or cozy up in front of the fireplace and the big screen TV for a movie.
The Master bedroom is on the first floor with a queen size bed, TV/DVD/VCR, private bath with both a shower and Jacuzzi type tub. The washer, dryer and half bath are also on the first floor.
The second floor has 2 bedrooms, a spacious loft with a sleeper bed, big screen TV/DVD and a large full bath. One bedroom has two twin beds and the other with a queen-sized bed with its own private covered deck with comfortable chairs and a beautiful view of the river.
The finished basement is approximately 525 square feet and an ideal place for children to play, watch their favor movies or read a book from the extensive library. The room is complete with a TV, DVD player, stereo/CD player. There is a large leather sectional sofa and a full size sofa bed. The basement opens onto its own full-length deck complete with patio table and chairs. There are steps that lead down to the river from this level.

Why the Owner Chose Ellijay
We chose to buy our vacation home, River Vista, in the Coosawattee River Resort for several reasons. The first reason was the beauty of the area and in particular, the Coosawattee River. It is a very tranquil setting where we feel completely relaxed. Secondly is the proximity to the Atlanta metro area. It takes us just over an hour from our home to River Vista. Lastly, there are many things to do within the resort as well as the surrounding, quaint towns.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Words cannot adequately describe the peaceful feeling of sitting out on one of decks, drinking your first cup of coffee in the morning or enjoying a good meal and a glass of wine in the evening with the sound of the river running in the background. There are lots of activities in the resort and surrounding area to do with kids, grandkids and friends. You can walk down to the river behind the house and drop a line in the water, float on a tube or sit around the fire pit by the river at night and roast marshmellows. We enjoy golf nearby, excursions around the area and many other activities within the resort.

WOW!!! If you are looking for peace, quiet, rest, fun activities for whole family with all the extra amenities of home, well THIS IS IT!!!!! It was great to get away from all the chaos of everyday life and spend time with family!!! The town and scenery was AWESOME! We loved seeing the deer going through the back yard into the river. AMAZING trip!!! Can't wait to return!!!!
