We are happy to offer White O' Morn, our lovely vacation home for rent during all seasons of 2012. White O' Morn is located on a quiet cove in Deerfield Resort overlooking Norris Lake. This 5,500+ sq. ft. home is designed for the entertainment of family and friends. It is ideal for families with young children and teens to enjoy, or a group of friends who just want to get together. The home boasts 4 generously sized bedrooms that will comfortably sleep 16 people. Each bedroom features a private full bath. The first floor is handicapped accessible. An additional living space that comfortably accommodates 6 persons in 2 bedrooms, the Carriage Apartment, is available for a larger group.
Enjoy using all your culinary skills in a VERY LARGE gourmet kitchen (27'x30') that easily seats 22. The kitchen islands, (5'x 12' and 5'x 8') with granite countertops provide ample preparation area for several cooks who can enjoy working together using the 3 large double sinks, 2 dishwashers, 6-burner gas cook top, pot filler, warming drawer, double oven, microwave, 34 cu. ft. refrigerator/freezer w/ice maker and an under counter wine/beverage refrigerator. There is also a 25 cu. ft. refrigerator/freezer at the custom bar in the lower level. Ample non-refrigerated food storage space is available. A large, French Country, walk-in butlers pantry near the kitchen is where your morning coffee awaits you, and where the many small appliances including 2 twelve cup coffee makers, a coffee bean grinder, and a 20-50 cup DeLonghi coffee maker are located. Use the 3 thermal coffee carafes to sit outside on the deck and enjoy the early morning skiers as they glide across the mirror like lake water. A generous supply of dishware/glassware, 2 silverware drawers, cooking utensils, and serving pieces are provided. Bring your favorite ice cream/sherbet (it packs well in insulated soft sided cooler bags) for a children's ice cream parfait party.
A large vaulted great room with a fireplace contains a 50" plasma widescreen Satellite TV with a VCR and DVD. The kitchen and great room exit to a covered porch with 4 dining tables and seating for 16+. Two Weber 22" kettle charcoal grills are there for your outdoor grilling. Both upper and lower decks have many wicker chairs for conversation areas or just watching the lake.
The lower level also has a 50" plasma widescreen Satellite TV w/ DVD player, fireplace, large custom bar, pool table, sitting area, and laundry room
The property has 22 ceilng fans outside and inside to stir the warm summer air on the dock or deck, and inside to keep the a/c circulating comfortably.
A short flight of stairs leads to a new covered 2 slip boat dock with 2 swimming platforms and can hold up to 4 boats. Enjoy a good book or watch the children swim with 2 ceiling fans to stir the warm summer air. A closet is there to store your life vests or small water toys for the next day's fun on the water. Hang up your wet beach towels to dry on the clothes line. Folding canvas director chairs with cup holders are in the closet for your use. An atomic clock is there to keep your vacation activities on schedule. This lake front cove and private dock make it a safe and relaxing place to spend time on the water. White O' Morn is just moments away from Sugar Hollow Marina for fuel or lunch, and a short distance to Shanghai Marina and Springs Dock.
If you have babies in your group we have available for your use 2 full size cribs w/ mattress, mattress pads, crib sheet, bumper pad, 2 high chairs, 1 baby stroller, and an assortment of books and toys. There is no charge for you to use these items - just let us know in advance so they may be made ready for you.
** If your party requires additional space, a 1,600 sq. ft. Carriage Apartment above the garage is available for rent to those occupying the house. The Carriage Apartment can accommodate up to 6 people and features a full service kitchen, full bath, living area, 1 king bed bedroom, and a large loft with 3 full size beds. We just returned from another week at Norris lake and the White O'morn. This was our second stay at this rental property and once again it exceeded our expectations. We have rented houses in Hilton Head, Nags Head, Seven Springs, and a different property at Norris Lake, and trust me when I say this is the best, hands down!!! Mary and Charlie are great people who always over deliver on expectations. This home is spotlessly clean and equipped to the limit, maybe even above the limit. From the quality of the cookware, the dinnerware for 25 or more, the very comfortable beds with high quality sheets, the monster fluffy pillows, the dock size and seating, the outdoor furnishings, and even the carriage house accomadations....this house is the best by far!!!..Before you even consider the Czarnecky house, look into this house first. You will not be disappointed and will be glad you did. We first stayed at this home in 2008 and in 2010 we decided to return to Norris lake and stayed at a home called Bridgeview by the "jumping bridge" to save a few bucks...BIG mistake as this home's driveway was a dissaster, the cleanliness was below par, the cookware was worse than what I had in college and it was poorly managed. Don't make the same mistake. This home is even nicer than the photos...hard to believe, but true!!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

Our family stayed at this beautiful home last summer, and will again be spending a week this summer...2011. This is the perfect place---beautifully decorated---immaculate---many amenities..and the nicest landlords ever. It is located in a cove, which is not only quiet, but calm waters that are kind to your boat when in dock. We have been coming to Norris for years (even owning our own place at one time) and find this home the best "home away from home" that we have ever found. We hope to come back every year. Walking in the front door of this beautifully decorated "retreat", I realized I had found the perfect home to vacation in with our friends who had stayed at several other homes at Norris Lake, but none had compared to this! The home is very well equipped with everything our group needed to make our stay here effortless! Because the home is in a cove, we enjoyed floating without being "washed ashore" as in previous homes on the main part of the lake. It truly is a remarkable home in mint-condition! We look forward to many more years making memories in this wonderful vacation home!
