GREAT HOUSE FOR YOSEMITE VACATION

Our family of six stayed here for 4 nights. We traveled to Yosemite for the day which is a 1/2 hour to the park entrance and another 1/2 hour to the valley. It was nice to come back to a quiet house and relax after a busy day in Yosemite. The house was well stocked and met all our needs. We also swam at the lake and pool. Both are just a short distance from the house. We enjoyed watching all the deer on the golf course in the evenings. We counted 17 deer at one time!
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We stayed at the Links house for a three night visit while in the Yosemite area. It was the perfect place! We were only about an hour from Yosemite, which made it quite convenient. The community of Pine Mountain Lake has so much to offer though (beautiful lake with boat rentals and swimming, golf course, beaches), that we ended up taking a day off from the park to stay in the Pine Mountain Lake/Groveland area. It was the break we needed, and we were glad we didn't miss out on the area. The house is very spacious and yet quaint at the same time. It would comfortably fit 6-10, but we were just a party of two. Either way, it's a good fit. And, the deer did not disappoint...I think we saw more wildlife in the backyard than we did at Yosemite (birds, squirrels, deer). This was our first time in the area, and our first time using VRBO, and everything went extremely smoothly. We hope to return again soon with the rest of the family!

John and Shirley were extremely helpful, and gracious from the very first inquiry till the end of our trip. Upon entry into the Links home we all were in awe! The decor and warm inviting atmosphere made us feel instantly welcome. The pictures on VRBO only offer a mere glimpse into the beauty of the home and surroundings. We've rented several homes through VRBO in the past; the Links Home was by far the best kept and well provisioned. No detail was overlooked. I can't express enough upon how lovely it was to wake in the morning to see deer while enjoying breakfast, and then again at dinner time. The location of the home makes for a great staging point for all the available local activities. We enjoyed the lake, and rafting the Tuolumne with All Outdoors a short 15 minutes away. Our overall experience was perfect, if we return to the area we will definitely make this home our first choice. HIGHLY recommended! G&S

We were two families (4 adults and 5 kids) .. and we were very comfortable in this house. John and Shirley have an excellent home with a well-stocked kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

My husband and I recently took some visitors from MA to this lovely home for a weekend in Yosemite. Everyone LOVED this house. It was clean, well equipped, and the back yard view was wonderful. The house was quiet and relaxing. There was a white deer in the backyard named Showball that was very friendly and allowed me to pet her. It was the highlight of my weekend. John & Shirley are very good about communicating. We hope to return again real soon. We highly recommend this home for a rental.

We stayed in this place during 08/2010. I admit this is one of the great places to stay and our stay was very memorable! The house is very neat! and is very well equipped, be that the utensils, toys, videos, beddings, even the first aid kits!!! The location is very beautiful, we want to go there again and stay longer. Yosemite valley is not too far away from the site (about 1.25 hr drive depending upon conditions). Pine mountain lake is beautiful! Nice locality, good grocery store near by. We had a great experience staying in this place and want to do it again and again!!!

We stayed at this house for about a week in August. Usually, when we rent a house for a week or so with our family, we bring paper towels, silverware, salt and pepper, etc. All that was not neccessary. The owners of the house provided for every detail. The house was impeccably clean. The location overlooking the golf course is serene, and the house is very spacious and comfortable. Communications with the owners before, during, and after our stay were extremely efficient. We have been to Pine Mountain Lake many times in the past 20 years (staying in different houses) and our latest experience at this house has been the best by far.

We stayed for just two days at Links House while we visited Yosemite. We wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the house and area. The house was very clean and well stocked and the owners very helpful in setting up our stay. The lake was nice for swimming and the house is about as close as you can get to Yosemite Vally without being in the park.

Our family rented this home in Groveland for 5 days. What a great house! You cannot imagine any circumstance these people have not thought of. We had a great time, watching the deer on the golf course and in the yard. Amazing place. The lake and other resources (boat rentals and cafe down by the water) eclipsed Yosemite for the small children. And the parents and grandparents loved having a safe, well stocked home. Had to use the jumper cables for a car at the lake, amazing that the hosts had thought of that too! With Yosemite so close it is a natural for visiting the park too. Groveland is the perfect headquarters for visiting Yosemite - don't miss Hetch Hetchy also. We will be back. Hate to write a review because then others might find it!!

We had a wonderful time at the Links House. It was in a fantastic location on the golf course. There were lots of deer that visited us daily, included Snowball the albino deer. The house was very well furnished and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. The owners were very co-operative in helping us with all the details of the property. Pine Mountain Lake is a quiet community and yet had lots of fun, family oriented activities. We enjoyed swimming in the lake as well as picnicing and fishing. The downtown of Groveland is just a few minutes away. The grocery store in town is small but very well stocked.

Shirley & John - Thank you for sharing your home and making it available for others to enjoy. The property looks exactly as described. It is clean and well maintained. The entire process from inquiry to renting to returning of the deposit was quick and easy. The house was beautiful and well stocked with everything and anything one would need for a stay. We had beautiful view of the golf course and saw deers on a daily basis. We enjoyed the community, swimming pool and the marina. The kids' first expression was A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! Thanks again!
