The house is situated in the heart of the Palace Quarter of Pest, with all major attractions within walking distance. A short walk to the National Museum and the Italian Institute – once temporary buildings of the Hungarian Parliament. Close to Ráday utca, the River Danube, the Main Food Market, and the Museum of Arts and Crafts, and just across the river to the famous Gellért Spa Hotel. The architecture of the area and entire downtown Budapest, is amazing, it is worth doing some research beforehand. Váci utca and its shops and restaurants are a 10 minute walk away, however if you wish to beat the tourist traps stay local and check out the local cafes and bars frequented by the local Hungarian youth - an attraction in itself!
For families, there are 3 enclosed, dog-free playgrounds in the vicinity, which are places to relax even for those without children, thanks to the pretty gardens and fountains. Playgrounds close at sunset. The National Museum runs a program for children on Saturdays where they can learn about different historical eras
For those travelling by car, bear in mind that parking tickets must be purchased (up to 2 hours at a time) on weekdays between 8am and 6pm. Parking is free in Budapest on the weekends. There is a parking house situated above the petrol station at Kálvin tér, only a 2 minute walking distance away.
The apartments can be reached by tram, underground, and bus. The night bus services run nearby as well, so even if you stay out till the morning, it will never be a problem getting back by public transport.
