  Our group was 10 adults for thanksgiving and we were very comfortable-- there were enough pots/pans , plates and glasses. The house is nicely decorated and doesn't feel out of date with furniture, etc. We used the hot tub many times and it was really nice. We had a faucet leak but landlord came to fix it within the half hour. Saw lots of deer. House is about a 5 minute walk to the lake. Deck is nice for BBQing and deer watching. Cons: The only music speakers for upstairs is through the TV, but it has cable music stations so if you like that its fine. Beds are quite variable, some are firm and some are really really soft.

  This place was perfect for our group. We had 6 adults and 3 kids. The upper and lower living rooms were perfect so we could watch separate shows and not disturb people who wanted quiet time. The hot tub was just fabulous in the cool evening. We had no problems with the house and the owners were great to deal with.

  If you are looking for a big house with almost the same amenities on both floors, this house is perfect! We are a family of 3 and didn't even use the basement (except for the pool table), but two families could very easily stay in this house comfortably. It was easy to see that the kitchen and bathrooms were recently renovated and are very nice. Staying in a house with air conditioning was wonderful! If you are worried about a cigarette smoke smell (because smoking is allowed), don't be. I have allergies and did not smell anything. But, I want to be completely honest to help others who will be staying at this house. The beds (speaking only about the upstairs), were the worst beds we have ever slept on. They are extremely firm and very noisy if we moved. Our daughter slept on the couch the entire stay and my husband tried different beds and sides to sleep. The first floor bedrooms have no blinds or curtains. A walker was looking into the house one morning as we were getting changed for the lake. Bring extra sheets to hang at the windows. There are also no blinds in the dining room which is mostly windows and a large double door to the deck. All the houses are higher, so if the neighbor wants to look into the house at night, he can. Bring a night light to plug in! This house is totally black when all the lights are shut off to go to bed. If you need to get up during the night, you can't find your way around because it truly is completely dark! I thought it was great that the owners offer to save families money by not charging a cleaning fee. But after trying it, I will not rent from anyone that offers this type of savings again. Our house looked clean, but the stove (which we never used) was covered in grease. The dish towels in the kitchen were put back in the drawers very damp, and there were garlic-flavored ice cubes left in the freezer! You just have to hope that the people before you clean as well as you do. My family cleaned for two hours the night before, and another two hours the morning of checkout. All the carpets and towels were washed and dried. I just feel that the quality of this house will slip if not everyone cleans thoroughly. A professional would be held to higher standards or not get paid. We had very little communication with the owners other than very short emails. Met Mike quickly at the house, but we made him late for dinner. Sorry Mike! Our security fee was returned to us extremely fast, in one day, which was totally awesome!

  Owner response: Thanks for the review, but- Michael meets all rentals at check in and shows the house. In addition to meeting these people then, they sent us 12 emails, and we sent 14 replies. It is rare to have this much interaction. And since Michael shows the house, he is very conscientious about making sure it is clean. Now, the rest- Yes, we have new bathrooms and kitchen and AC. And our houses do not smell of smoke! We buy firmer mattresses since it is a rental home. No one has ever complained that the beds were noisy but we will check and correct if needed. This house has 2 floors, is at the top of a hill, and only one house is even close to it. Every window on the 1st floor has shades. We are on a treed lot, too, so we decided not to put blinds on every window on the 2nd floor as an aesthetic decision, since people cannot see in unless you are right in front of the window. This is also a first for this complaint, so we may consider changing, although we like the open look. We have shades in the living room because the sun shines on the TV in daytime, but we left the dining room windows and the slider shadeless so people could appreciate the view and sunlight. Saying all the houses are higher is just wrong--- our house was built to the Lake Harmony height limit, and we are at the top of a hill, so I do not know what the writer is trying to say. They had only a few minor cleaning complaints including---damp, not dirty, kitchen towels in the drawers. Probably the prior renters washed them and did not have them fully dry when put away. When the new black flat top range is cleaned with the provided agent, it has a slippery coating to make it look shiny. Michael waited several hours before these people came and touched up a little while waiting, and he said the stove definitely was clean. We give the option of cleaning yourself to save $100. Most people would be happy to have so few and such minor cleaning complaints. But if you do not clean as you go, it can take 4 hours to clean–it is a large house. We can get cleaners for you, but you will be charged $100, and doing it this way keeps the house in better condition. Cleaning people have only have 3 hrs between rentals, but most renters clean during their stay. Although this is a generally good review, I just wanted to address some of the comments and assure that we will follow up. These same renters asked to rent from us again a few days later, so we know they were not really dissatisfied.

  I forgot to put this in my review---this house as 2 full size refrigerators! That was so handy--we kept all our sodas, beer and bags of ice in the refrigerator next to the pool table room, and that left us plenty of room in the upstairs kitchen refrigerator.

  My sister had rented this house 2 years ago for skiing and recommended we meet there for a family reunion for Mother's Day since our family is all over the East Coast. I dealt with the organizing and renting---the owner Michael was friendly and very easy to work with. When we got to the house, my sister couldn't believe how changed it was from her last time there---the bathrooms are brand new and really nice. The kitchen was also new, and there were plenty of good pots, pans, serving bowls, etc. We had great weather, but the beach wasn't open yet--we walked around, played pool, went in the hot tub, and saw LOTS of deer and wild turkeys. We took the kids to the water park that is nearby (maybe a mile or 2 away)--you pass it on the way to the house. At night, we watched some movies--there are lots of them, and really recent ones, for the DVD players. We had a great time! We're planning now on coming back in the summer when the beach is open---the kids are already excited. Thank you, and you will hear from us soon.

  Our family enjoyed our time at Lake Harmony (including the dog). The house had everything we needed. Enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and residents' beach at the lake. Very easy to get around the area. The guys went golfing; two in our group went horse back riding. Took the kids to Knoebel's Amusement Park about an hour away. Good family location. Owners are great to deal with. We would rent this property again.
