This cabin is beautiful!!! The pictures don't do it justice. The views are amazing and there is quick access to plenty activities. It is very clean and cozy!

Thanksgiving Stay in Fairplay on Warm Springs Ranchg

This home worked perfectly for us for the Thanksgiving Holiday! It was very well kept and stocked with anything a family of (10) could need. Sleeping accomdations were perfect and we all enjoyed our selves immensely. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a cozy feeling and just like being at a cabin in mountains. It was prefect with a wood fireplace and outside fire pit, plus the Sauna was amazing. Close to Breckenridge, Cooper and Keystone the family had a great time.

We just returned from 9 wonderful days at this cabin and couldn't be more thrilled with our experiences! The basics: The owner was very kind and answered all of our questions. The description of the cabin interior and amenities, location, and the photos on the VRBO site were all accurate and as described, and it was clean and well-maintained. The fenced dog area off the side of the house was so great, as was the deck (which our dog loved). The views of the mountains and valley were gorgeous. The house had ample blankets, sheets, and towels and the kitchen was fairly well-stocked for basic cooking, though we did end up "donating" a new frying pan to the supplies. :-) The location couldn't be much better. Fairplay is small, but basic amenities are there. Breckenridge and Frisco aren't far away if you need a WalMart or larger grocery story. We did one hike up Breakneck Pass right from the cabin and spent the rest of our time exploring, hiking, and fishing in the South Park area as well as the Arkansas Headwaters Recreational Area south of Fairplay. We drove Boreas Pass from Como into Breckenridge on the recommendation of previous reviews and it was a beautiful drive, though the road could be considered nerve-wracking for someone afraid of heights or gravel roads. Be award that most of the County roads in this area are gravel and not paved, which sometimes makes for a long and bumpy ride! But the drive was always worth a few bumps! The cabin had a folder full of maps, geographical surveys, and other flyers about the surrounding area that we found extremely helpful. We found several good hiking trails using these maps and also good fishing info as well. We didn't try our luck in the stocked pond at the ranch, so I can't comment on that. I have only two minor comments: It would be nice if more chairs were provided on the deck, as only 1 was there and the other had apparently been broken and was underneath the deck. Also, the dryer is an older model and takes quite a long time to dry clothes. However, these were only very minor issues that did not at all detract from our wonderful stay at this cabin. I would highly recommend this property to anyone! It was so hard to leave the peace, tranquility and absolute SILENCE of this part of Colorado. We were also lucky enough to see a moose when driving out one morning...he walked right in front of our car! So amazing!! I truly hope to return soon! Everthing as stated. Owners very nice. Centrally located to Breckenridge, Royal Gorge, Boulder, and the Great Sandunes, 30 minutes to 2 hours from all. Would do it all over again except I would stay longer!

This house was more than we could have hoped for! Our family of 8 (ages 47-3) had a wonderful week at this house. Beautiful view, lots of trees surrounding property and houses are not right up close to each other which was nice. Very roomy and had plenty of room for all of us to spread out. Bonfire pit was fun and our kids loved the loft with pool and ping pong. The owners really have everything there to make it feel like home. Fishing was great right there on the Warm Springs property. Drove to Breckenridge/Dillon for a day (BEAUTIFUL DRIVE and only about 30 min. away) rented a pontoon boat at Lake Dillon-very fun and shopped downtown Breckenridge. There is a great waterfall and hike near Nathrop (another short drive from house) called Agnes Vaille Falls. Would recommend this to anyone. Very short hike and easy trail. Kids loved to climb the rocks there and the view is spectacular. Buena Vista is close for river rafting and a little further south was Salida for some Ziplining @ Captain Zipline. In Fairplay there is the SouthPark Rec. Center-it has a nice indoor pool for the younger kids (very inexpensive for the day too!). We had a wonderful time here and would love to return for a trip in the winter for skiing!

Great Place to Relax

The cabin was in excellent condition, had all the kitchen utensils necessary to make meals, was clean, and comfortably furnished. It is far enough away to feel like you are secluded, yet fairly easy to get to and close to many mountain activities. There is great hiking all around the area (Boreas Pass was the favorite this trip for hiking and scenic drive), great fishing nearby (we went to the Fairplay Reservoir, but the South Platte is also nearby), nice restaurants in Fairplay, and the white water rafting in Buena Vista was incredible. The view from the deck was excellent, and everyone enjoyed spending the evening around the fire pit roasting marshmallows and star gazing. The roads to the cabin were a little rough, but not bad compared to other mountain roads. Everyone in our family (from age 2 to 88) had a great time, and I would recommend the cabin to anyone.

We had a great time at this cabin. We went snowshoeing on the trail into the National Forest (0.25 miles from the cabin), played pool and ping pong in the loft, and played board games (bring your own)while listening to the crackling fire in the fireplace. The fenced in dog-run was a nice feature, as was the dry sauna. The two main floor bedrooms were nice, though the two bedrooms in the basement got cold at night (maybe we didn't know how to heat those rooms). Both bathrooms are on the main floor. Some of the cabins in this area are quite close together, but this cabin had much more privacy than most. It is surrounded by trees, and the roads are quite good. You need to go through a gate to enter this subdivision, which made the area feel much more safe and secure. The owner was very nice and helpful on the telephone. I recommend this cabin.

My extended family stayed there for a weekend as it was large enough to hold all of us comfortably. We had a fabulous time. It was clean and included many kitchen items that we had forgotten to bring. The views were awesome and we would really like to make it an annual trip. Thank you very much.

I stayed here with my entire family and it was great. I don't think the pictures do it justice. We thought the view was breathtaking and the privacy was awesome. The pool table in the loft was an added bonus along with the dog friendly fenced area. The place is clean and roomy, we had a great time!
