Dale Hollow Lake was ranked as the #4 lake in the nation to “float your boat” by USA Today and is known as one of the best fishing lakes in the country. Dale Hollow Lake is the current WORLD recordholder for small mouth bass. If water isn’t your thing, there is golfing, antiquing, hiking, horseback riding, site seeing, historical sites and restaurants with home-style cooking within close proximity.
Shadowood is 3-bedroom/ 2 bath home (which sleeps 8) which is privately owned, beautifully decorated and abundantly furnished. There is a large great room area with a cathedral ceiling and lots of windows to enjoy the scenery. In the evening after your memorable day, have a barbeque on the deck with friends and family. There is plenty of flat area for parking multiple vehicles and your boat trailer. Our home is located just over a mile from Star Point Marina and short distances to Eagle Cove, Sunset and Wolfe River Marinas. Shadowood is ready for you to move in to relax, refresh, rejuvenate and enjoy your well deserved vacation time.
While only 2 hours from the cities of Nashville, Knoxville and Gatlinburg and 4 hours from Cincinnati, you can enjoy a step back into time by staying in the quaint Byrdstown area. Our family has fallen in love with the people, the scenery and the lake during the 25 years of visiting each summer. Thank you so much for opening your home to us. My husband and I stayed here in July and loved the home. This home is decorated nice and it has everything you would need and more. There are other homes around but it feels somewhat private which is a PLUS for those needing some R&R. Good parking for those with boats. We have a 25 foot pontoon and had no issues with parking. The nearest marina is Starpoint and if availible they have overnight rental sliips,...we find the people there very nice. We saw many deer in the area and on one night eating dinner one came near the dining window looking in as though it was watching us. The rocking chairs on the front porch was a great way to start your day having your morning coffee. My husband liked the porch swing. The home also has a nice large deck on the back surrounded by woods. It's a nice area to take walks in the evening after diner. All in all we were very pleased and and felt very comfortable staying here. We are hoping to vacation here again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
