Mahalo Neil and Sharon for letting us stay in your place. We had an amazing vacation. We loved this location - convenient for exploring. Thank you for the flowers - they were such a nice touch. The island has so much to offer that we felt we needed at least a month here to see verything we wanted to see- Waimea Canyon and multiple waterfalls are simply breathntaking - sunrises and sunsets are also stunning - MahaloDid you find this review helpful? We loved staying here! Waking up to the smell and sounds of this little jungle hide-away was spectacular. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality and local tips. We really enjoyed meeting you and spending a little time with you. We will definitely be back some day, maybe we'll stay at waimea next time - the house you built out there is spectacular! Thanks again, you guys are awesome!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Many thanks Neil and Sharon for our stay in your treehouse! We very much appreciate your understanding when we had to reschedule from February - the wait was worth it! We enjoyed the birds (and even the chickens) every morning - and had a full moon shining in to boot! Thanks also for the use of snorkel equip, towels, mats etc - we put them to good use. Enjoyed Poipu beach the best. We hiked part of the Napali coast and a couple of the WAimea Canyon hikes. also one east of Hanalei Bay and liked Koloa town. Helicopter pricey but worth it! Thank you againDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Owner info
About the owner: Owner built home. Neil bought this property in 1990, and built a house in the trees modeled after the houses built in Kokee in the 1930s (redwood/ cedar shake ) The 'treehouse' style also has a touch of swiss family robinson. Neil is a Welshman whose surfing spirit brought him first to California and then to Kauai. He has lived on Kauai since 1982, and after many years of 'batching' met South african Sharon in 2003. They married in 2005, and live in the main house. Both love the peace and beauty of this quiet neighborhood, and enjoy talking story with the many travelers from all over the world they meet each year.
The Unique Benefits at this Studio:
'Real' Kauai. Owner built and managed. Quiet. Rustic. Central location and yet off beaten track.
