Donna - We had a fantastic time at the house. Thanks for making it so comfortable. The views from sunup to sunset were great. We hated to leave it and it was super nice to have the option to go to both of those hotels. I hope to be able to visit again. Thanks much. Aloha.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The home is as beautiful as the pictures. Perfect view of the ocean. The house is located within the grounds of the Hapuna Beach / Mauna Kea Resorts, and full access to all facilities and both beaches are included. In my opinion, this is the best location on the island. It's sunny nearly every day here. The pool is larger than I expected and it was nice to have a hot tub available. The outdoor chairs and padded chaise lounges are great. The kitchen was well stocked. There is a coffee maker and filters available. I'd recommend stopping at Costco and picking up some 100% Kona coffee (cheaper here than at the farm!) and a bottle of Koloa dark rum. It's a great way to start the day. Dishes, pots and pans and drinking glasses (including wine and champagne glasses) are also supplied. Overall, I'd say the house is exactly as described. We were happy with our stay and would definitely like to return!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

This is now our second stay at Moani Heights and we enjoyed the house even more than the first time. It is located in a micro climate that sees far more sun and dry weather than any other part of the island. It can be raining or cloudy to the north, east and south while it is a clear day at the Heights. A car is essential as you will want to visit the farmers market at Waimea on Saturdays and have lunch at Hawi just up the coast amongst other places. We greatly appreciate the fact that the house comes with full access to two resorts and all their facilities, Hapuna Prince and Mauna Kea. We really like the beach bar and Manta restaurant at Mauna Kea. Or for a change the Coast Grille at Hapuna Prince-----both within minutes by car of the house and essentially without leaving the resort grounds except for a 300 yard trip on the main road to reach Mauna Kea. In all a good experience---we will be going back again next year. That says it all. The photographs are worth thousands of words more. By the way the concierge service is superb, any little matter that needs attention is dealt with most expeditiouslyRecommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers.

This was our second stay at this beautiful home. The location is very relaxing and everything you can think of is provided for your use. We didn't even have to rent boogie boards or snorkel gear. The decor is beautiful and makes you feel like you are in a tropical paradise (which you are!). Having the access to both the hotels is great. The Mauna Kea hotel has only 30 public parking spots, if you don't arrive by 9AM you are not able to park. With this home you get a parking pass with TONS of parking in a private parking area, super easy walking to beach. Not many homes include the perk of using the Mauna Kea and Hapona Hotel as a guest. You get all the amenities the hotel guest receive BUT you get to return to a peaceful relaxing home instead of a tiny hotel room. We like that we can cook our own meals and sit by the pool with a view of the ocean. Our family had a fantastic Thanksgiving Week and can't wait until our next trip!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our group consisted of Grandma and two families with children - perfect set-up ! Two large "masters" with baths and one mid-size room with the hall bath. The kids' room could not have worked out better (although if I had to find one thing the house needed I'd say it was a door for the kids' room so that they didn't wake up in the morning if we were busy in the kitchen). The day beds and sofa sleepers accommodated them all and they loved the 'slumber party' set-up ! Most of the children slept in there every night and they loved to watch the movies. When not in the pool, we were at the beach. The location is central to do things either locally, in Kona or around to Hilo (all of which we did). It was VERY nice to be able to visit either resort across the way and have privileges, park in their lots, use their beaches & pools, etc. Sorry we didn't discover how great Waimea was until the end of our stay - a nice big, grocery plus a great health food store in the same plaza plus restaurants. Take advantage of this quiet location and participate in all the island has to offer. Go to nearby Spencer Beach for easy walk-in snorkeling ! The house is meticulously maintained by the house cleaner and stocked with plenty of towels, etc. All the service people were very courteous. We called Victoria about a few things and she was prompt and so nice. Would return in the future!Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed here for spring break with 2 families (kids aged 8, 6,3,1) and it worked perfectly! We actually decided it would have been big enough for another family since we put all the kids in the sleeping room and didnt even use the 3rd bedroom. Pool and view and grassy area were great for letting the kids run around.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed at Moani Heights with the Mauna Kea Resort for 3 months over Christmas 2011/12. In our view this is the most ideal house we have rented in the last 6 years that we have been coming to the Big Island. With the amenities that come with two hotel complexes included in the house rental (2 club memberships included) one can have all the extras normally associated with resort living such as beach access and use of the cabanas, swimming pools and a very complete exercise room in addition to the exclusivity of living in a spacious single family dwelling surrounded by well cared for grounds. The views from the Kohala Hills sweeping around toward the south are wondrous and the sunsets can be seen full on every night. The accommodation is excellent with 3 bedrooms located off the great room. The location of the kitchen is well placed to provide easy access to all eating areas without long walks to deliver food to the various spots one may choose to dine. The rain never seems to fall in the Mauna Kea resort area and the sun seems to always shine, far more so than possibly any other place in the Hawaiian Islands. This is an ideal place to stay whether for adults or families.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This house is absolutely perfect for a vacation involving a large group, whether it is for a family or a group of friends. It is beautifully decorated and has a breathtaking view of the ocean. It includes just about everything you could possibly need while on vacation, including beach gear (snorkels, beach towels...), cooking gear (utensils, pots pans, grill on lanai...), games and reading materials. They thought of everything! It honestly felt like our home away from home, only in paradise. The location is also ideal. With access to the Mauna Kea and Hapuna Prince Resorts, we were able to enjoy incredible beaches. The beach at the Waikoloa Resort, where we spotted many sea turtles is also a few minutes away. Downtown Kona is about a 40 minute scenic ride away. We were very sad to leave. Can't wait to visit again!Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Excellent house with ability to access both the mauna kea and hapuna beaches and resort. Lovely pool and patio and great grill. Very helpful owner. Best location in Moani heights on a hill with the ability to see the ocean and the palm trees. Great kitchen and lovely den. Bathrooms clean and good water pressure. When the pools at the resort become cloudy with the guests suntan oil and kid's urine by mid afternoon move to this house's pool and hotub and enjoy your own peaceful clean pool and patio. Great place. We had a blast and a good deal.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I recently spent a great week at this house with our 2 boys (ages 8 and 11). It was a great experience. There was lots of room both inside and outside for our boys to enjoy. There is a yard for throwing a football and a great little pool to cool you off in the late afternoon. The house is very conveniently located to both the Hapuna Beach Hotel and the Mauna Kea. The house allowed us to be a family on our holiday. Thumbs up.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This was our first trip to your lovely home at the Mauna Kea Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii, but it will not be our last! We had a wonderful time. The house is perfectly suited for 2 families with 2 large master suites, an extra bedroom with attached bath and a very large entertainment room that can accommodate many more. The house is built very well, so we had no noise issues at all. The furniture, fixtures and décor were great. It gave us a great Hawaiian feel. We loved watching sunsets from your pool deck – a great way to finish a perfect day. A key reason why we rented your house was to have guest privileges at both the Mauna Kea and the Hapuna Prince Hotels. We spent every day at the beach and everyone was very glad to have access to the hotel lounges, umbrellas, pools, towels, facilities as well as the ability to charge lunches to our account. Both hotel beaches are very well known for their beauty, swimming, and body surfing. There was also a great area off the right side of the Mauna Kea beach to snorkel. We saw lots of turtles, along with a few eels and even an octopus! Thanks again for sharing your wonderful home with us. We will be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We love this house! Our son loved getting up in the morning and jumping right into the pool! We loved the beautiful view and all the wonderful flowers on the property. The family/game room was so fun, we brought our exercise CD's and had a blast!. Going to the gym and having yoga classes topped it all! We enjoyed what all the hotels had to offer. Cooking in on our schedule, or going out to many of the restaurants within the resort was wonderful. Lots of choices! Our son wants to know, "when can we go back to that house in Hawaii"? We hope soon!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I just returned from a week staying in this gorgeous home. With views of the mountains to the east and the ocean to the west, we did not want to leave. Modern home in excellent condition and very well-decorated with tons of amenities (including beach toys, games, and well-stocked kitchen). We enjoyed the pool and spa at the home every day, as well as the close, easy access to the Mauna Kea and Hapuna beaches. We will definitely go back and highly recommend it. We really had an awesome time on the Big Island! The golf was amassing. We used Hapuna Beach a couple of times and had the beach to our selves! Your pool and hot tub were a great end of the day wine down for us and the house was so comfortable and peaceful. We saw the whole Island on a Blue Hawaii Helicopter tour and gazed the stars on a Mauna Kea Summit tour. I want to tell you that Victoria was very helpful and nice when we needed anything. I have already recommended the Mauna Kea resort and your residence and community to my family that travel too!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This house was sparkling clean and beautifully appointed. It was a wonderful space -- and our family was able to have moments of peace, as well as congregate in the family/living room areas without feeling "squished" in the slightest. We enjoyed several meals at home, making use of the well-furnished kitchen and the BBQ. The pool and spa were fabulous and clean. The property grounds were beautiful and immaculately manicured. It was so amazing to be able to sit poolside and watch the sun rise and set and smell plumerias. It was such a peaceful feeling. I haven't been able to relax like that in years! Because of the way that the landscape was designed, we had a real sense of privacy, sheltered from the neighbors. We had an amazing visit! We hope to be able to rent again! Thank you!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This home is spacious, light, and open. I love the way the sun comes in; from the morning to the beautiful sunset views in the evening. For exercise, there is a great walk by simply walking around the block, where you can see fabulous views of the stunning coastline. The bedrooms are private with spacious baths and large closets. The TV room is perfect to divide conversation areas or provide privacy. It was clean and very comfortable. It is in an upscale gated community. Very safe and private. Close to lots of quality restaurants and of course some of the most beautiful beaches anywhere. The best is simply sitting by the pool and enjoying the beautiful full ocean view!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was the perfect home for a get-away with friends. The view is stunning and the location is perfect - with use of one of the top rated beaches in the world. We were close to Parker Ranch and lots of shopping, but the thing we enjoyed the most was being together at the home. Everything is there - pool, spa, room for privacy and for group meals and fellowship. The areas in which to walk and exercise couldn't be beat. I'd go back in a heart beat.
