  Nice place to stay. We enjoyed our stay. Nice location, with a very nice view!! We did have a few problems that I felt could have been avoided with proper maintenance and care taken of the place. The wifi didn't work, the computer in the place didn't work and when we called about it, maintenance came out and looked at it and left with it (said it was locked?) The surround sound doesn't work so you can't listen to music on the deck. The hot tub is nice!! The air conditioning went out on us the second day we were there and there was a leak in the upstairs bathroom b/c of it. The downstairs bathroom shower doesn't work. Other than that everything else was good and we still enjoyed our stay in spite of these issues. I would not rent this cabin or from this owner again.

  Owner response: I would like to respond to your concerns with the cabin.We are working to get the problems resolved that you had .The drain line to the a/c was corrected the same day reported on the day of your check-out.I was unaware of the problem with the computer but, the Wi-Fi is operational with other devices and we are replacing computer.We are looking at downstairs shower and was not aware as a owner their was a problem until review was written &we are replacing outside speakers.As a owner the cabin is like a house issues will come up from time to time.I do apologize for these problems you had and please don't let this stop you from coming back and staying again.We have already fixed the issues or in process of doing so.Thank you for bringing to my attention the owner.

  My family and I had a wonderful time in this cabin. I am literally a CLEAN freak, and I was fully satisfied with the cleanliness of our cabin. I had such peace of mind that we really felt right at home. This cabin offers amazing views and all the amenities!!! Thank you to Jackie!!! I appreciate your prompt communication and attention! Loved our vacation!!!

  We were looking for a nice, quite escape from our day to day lives and that's exactly what we got. Beautiful cabin, lovely views. The bed was very comfy, the hot was great and the jacazzui tub was wonderful. My husband is a computer tech and he was disappointed with the computer provided and speed of the wifi service. There are also limited channels to choose from on the tv which could be a down side for kids. But we didn't go for the internet and tv so overall we had a lovely time.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  The overall stay was bittersweet. Gorgeous views, unswept floors, not cleaned (crumbs, hairs, and weird rubber bands on floor). Great pool table, hot tub was dirty and water was extremely low (welcome note on refrigerator says the hot tub is drained and refilled after each guest stay-not this time). Jacuzzi tub in bathroom was awesome, killing 4 scorpions during our stay with a 5 year old running around bare foot was not fun. Loved having cabin off main strip, and the pool and playground was great. Beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. We stayed in a similar cabin 7 years ago on our honeymoon in same resort and never encountered the issues we did in this cabin.

  Owner response: I am very sorry to hear that you were unhappy with our cabin. I would like to address a few issues you brought up.... Our rental agreement clearly states a check in time of 4:00. If you arrive at 1:50, chances are our cleaners/maintenance crew have not finished their jobs. We can sometimes accomodate early check-ins but not on days when someone has just checked out that morning. We received a call after the first scorpion was killed and pest control was called immediately. Again, I apologize that you were unhappy with your stay.

  Absolutely nothing to be critical about here! Very,very, clean and taken care of. View was beautiful. Temperature was 100+ on the day of arrival. We were concerned as to whether the thermostat was working or was even set prior to our arrival there, poor vent circulation, etc.This has been the case with numerous other cabins we've stayed at in pigeon forge, but our fears were dispelled when we arrived with temps inside being 75 cool degrees. We've been going to Pigeon Forge for the past 13 years, sometimes we've went two to three times a year, and Smoky Mountain Hideaways I would rank as one of the top two places I've stayed. I would love to take my family back. A big shout of gratitude to the owners for our stay!

  We loved the house! Great location, close to everything. Took our two daughters for the first time (ages 5 & 7), and they were in heaven. They loved the playground. We looked forward to coffee on the deck every morning. Wish we had stayed longer. We miss our Smoky Mountain Hide-a-Way!

  Overall this was a great cabin and we enjoyed our stay. I will say that after the first night or two (we stayed 5) the beds were pretty uncomfortable. And we purposely didn't bring out laptop because of the cabin having a computer. Unfortunately the computer is pretty old and so slow that most of the time we just gave up trying to use it. I think it may need some updating, but as a cabin guest, you don't have access to do that. The view was awesome, and you can't beat Starr Crest Resort.

  WE VISITED THE CABIN ON WINTER BREAK. EVERYONE IN OUR FAMILY LOVED THE CABIN. IT HAD AN AWESOME VIEW. THE VIEW IWAS AMAZING AT NIGHT. THE BEDS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE! MY HUSBAND LOVED THE PILLOW TOP MATTRESSES. MY HUSAND & SON ENJOYED PLAYING THE ARCADE GAME. THE LOCATION WAS PERFECT. IT WAS CONVIENT TO BOTH PIGEON FORGE & GATLINBURG. THAT WAS VERY IMPORTANT FOR OUR TEENAGERS. WE COULDN'T CHOSEN A BETTER PLACE FOR OUR WINTER BREAK.

  This log home was everything we were hoping it would be. From the moment we entered the resort all you could say was wow. The home was not only very clean and beautiful, but the view was amazing!! There is no doubt we will be returning to this home. We talk about this vacation still every day.
