Perfect cabin for our wedding weekend

The cabin worked perfectly for our family and friends weekend. We had a small, intimate wedding on the deck on Saturday afternoon and had various members of the wedding party and family stay with us through the weekend. The deck is an amazing space, just for hanging out with coffee and friends or for a fancy event. The cabin is well appointed with more creature comforts than we could have imagined. The weather was amazing, with the sun filtering through the beautiful trees all around the property. We saw hummingbirds, wild turkey, a family of deer, and just enjoyed listening to the wind in the trees. We will definitely be coming back! Perhaps for our anniversary next year :)

Beautiful and well maintained cabin!

We had an amazing time at this huge cabin that is so well maintained. It was clean and had everything we needed i.e. pots, pans, candles, propane etc. The area was beautiful with lots of hiking trails. It was super easy working with the owner on directions to the property as well as opening up the cabin and closing the cabin. Thank you for opening your cabin to our family we will definitely be back :)

Great cabin amongst tall pines! Lots of amenities! Everything was fantastic (including snow), except, linen was not changed from previous guest (one bed). Road accessibility to cabin difficult (even without any snow), unless you have truck or 4 wheel-drive. Not recommend for regular vehicle, unless road is leveled off at base of driveway. Not for elderly or handicapped accessible, due to steep steps. Would definetly rent cabin again!

Owner response: thanks for your review. I am sorry about the one unchanged bed. There is a very specific procedure for guests when they check out, that is to strip beds used and leave them made if they were not slept in. This makes the change over much simpler. Obviously, that one bed was skipped and I apologize. The cabin is very accessible during most of the year. I do suggest higher clearance vehicles but often drive there in the spring, summer and fall in my Prius. I hope you enjoyed the snow and will plan to come back soon.

We rented the cabin for our wedding and it was fabulous! We had 60 people on the deck! There was plenty of room for guest to move around and enjoy themselves. The kitchen was big enough that the caterer where able to operate from the kitchen. Great cabin, plenty of amenities! The owner was great to work with too.

My family truly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The decor is charming and comfortable, the kitchen is perfect, the bedrooms are spacious, but best of all is the space out on the deck! This cabin is a great "home away from home" and we look forward to visiting again!

Excellent weekend getaway

This was a weekend getaway for our group as we live in Tucson. The cabin was wonderful and we especially enjoyed the huge shaded deck for our activities. The cabin is within walking distance of Summerhaven and hiking trails which we enjoyed. All amenities were there and the book told us exactly what to do to easily close the cabin when we were finished. We will definitely use the cabin again!

There wound up being 9 ladies attending this last weekend. We had a very enjoyable time. The house is clean, well stocked and we really enjoyed the large porch. It was easy to find and close to the town with nice stores. We will be back.

This cabin was BEAUTIFUL!! Everything was there for us to feel right at home. The deck is massive and held our entire family. The sleeping was excellent and we used just about all of it. : ) The owner is extremely responsive and had little extras around which was a nice homey touch. We were never too cold or too hot. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who has a large group or just needs room to roam. Way up in the trees and neighbors were friendly. There was plenty of parking if groups come up individually. We brought quads and trailers and there was space for it all. It was a wonderful experience and would do it again and again. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful cabin.

Best Accomidations for our large group

A wonderful cabin for our family weekend. We were there on Mothers Day weekend for our granddaughters wedding on the mountain. The weather was great and the cabin was perfect for our group of ten, from Oregon. With 5 sleeping areas and 3 baths, plus a wonderful greatroom/kitchen for all of us to get together for games, reading, eating or just relaxing. Also the large deck was great for our ten plus eight more people for Mothers Day brunch. Rich was great to work with and we were happy to meet with him in person later in the week so we could thank him for having everything ready and clean.

We held our wedding at Rick's cabin and it was absolutely perfect. We had 40 guests who all fit comfortably on the huge deck. We brought chairs for another 15 and two more tables but otherwise, there was enough seating. We were able to keep the deck warm enough for everyone and it was lit nicely into the evening. The cabin was very well stocked with everything although we brought most of what we needed. The only difficulty was parking since it is very limited. We worked around this by having guests park at Ski Valley and shuttling them to the cabin. This venue was perfect for what we wanted - a mountain wedding!

The Perfect Cabin!

Wow, I can't think of a more perfect cabin on Mount Lemmon! The description and photos of the cabin were very accurate, and the cabin was very clean and well maintained. From the moment we walked in we felt at home and relaxed. There was plenty of room for the six adults and four children. Rick has supplied the cabin with everything needed for a relaxing getaway, including many family games,movies,and books. The cabin is surrounded by beautiful forest and there is a large deck that is pefect for spending time outdoors. In addition to the numerous wonderful amenities included with this cabin, one of the best is the owner, Rick. He is genuinely a nice guy who went out of his way to make sure our stay was perfect. Thank you, Rick. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Amazing cabin and incredibly helpful owner

Our family stayed here over Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time! The cabin is incredibly well laid out with three floors that have at least two beds and a bath on each. The middle level is the main floor with huge deck, well appointed kitchen and living room area. There are TVs on two floors so our kids could watch a movie in one room and us in another. The location is excellent since you can walk to the General Store, Cookie Cabin or Concert (during the summer season) or down to Marshall Gulch for a hike. Walk the other direction up Turkey Run and you can hike up Upper Sabino Canyon. We had everything we needed provided. The owner was available to answer any questions we had and provided excellent directions and instructions to make use of all the amenities. Thanks for making this a Thanksgiving to remember!

We rented the cabin this past weekend, and it superceeded all of our expectations. Rick does a wonderful job taking care of his guests and providing a wonderful place for the family to relax. I agree with a previous reviwer, the lower level is perfect for a younger generation to have their own space; although I will definitely keep a better eye on mine if allowed to come back (maybe a baby monitor from home will do?) . The walk to town in the snow was great, as was all the technology. Thanks for letting us share your home; it was a blessing to have everyone together again.

Absolutely wonderful place

We rented this cabin for a weekend since my son was getting married on the mountain. I was so please that the cabin was totally well equiped - especially with every kitchen appliance and tool that you would ever need. We hosted the rehearsal dinner at the cabin and everyone loved it! The deck was one of our favorite features. It had several seating areas (some under roof) , a grill, a gas fireplace and electric heaters! The cabin is spacious and easily sleeps 10 to 12. Having 3 bathrooms is a great benefit also.

My family's stay at the cabin was Wonderful! The cabin had a large porch with beautiful views and all the amenities. The cabin itself is clean and very well maintained and very nice with plenty of room for the whole family. Its three stories with bedrooms and all floors. It was stocked with CDs, Movies, books and games for all ages. I highly recommend this and I am looking forward to our next stay.

A little hard to get to and park but, overall the cabin is beautiful and so is the area! A very nice cool and quiet retreat. Would highly recommend for a peaceful and lovely getaway! Excellent and friendly communication. I can't thank you enough!

We just returned from an amazing week on the mountain. Perfect weather, several good rain showers, and the cabin was perfect. Lots of room for many family members - everyone kept saying how wonderful it was. Hiking to Summerhaven was easy. The beds were very comfortable, and the cabin was neat and clean and it had all the comforts of home; plenty of plates, cups, bowls, glasses, etc., along with modern appliances and a large bar-b-q and huge patio area. Lots of hummingbirds! I look forward to renting this wonderful home in the future. Thank you for a very special week.

This is a beautiful , well furnished mountain getaway. All of our friends (12 in total) had plenty of elbow room. All of the beds were very comfortable. The bottom floor proved to be the kids hide-out, where they hooked up their gaming systems to play games and watched movies. The adults spent most of our time on the well appointed spacious deck. The cool temperatures were just the break we needed from the Tuscon heat. Would definitely rent this cabin again.

We recently stayed at this cabin for my parents 40th Wedding anniversary event. It definitely superceded our expectations. The cabin was spacious and had all ammenities needed for a 4-day stay. The large outdoor deck was beautiful and this is where we spent the majority of our time. I would recommend it to family and friends and we plan to return next summer!

We rented this wonderful retreat for a week in August. It was spotless, well maintained,the appliances are "state-of-the -art" and there was room for my large family of 10 plus dog. The cabin is spacious and has beautiful views. Walking distance to small town of Summerhaven for supplies, great pizza, ice cream and crepes! Walk into a thriving forest and hike right out the front door. The owner was available 24/7 to help with our questions. We can't wait to return and recommend it highly to our friends.

I want to thank you for sharing your lovely cabin, on Mt. Lemmon, with our family and friends. From the moment----- sent us the pictures of it, over the computer, I was so excited to be having my 80th birthday celebration there, and we sure weren't disappointed. In fact, it surpassed our expectations. And thank you for your nice E-mail saying we left it in good shape and you would welcome us back again. We apologize for also turning off the refrigerator, but the girls were so conscientious about following your instructions, they missed that one. I hope it didn't cause too bad a cleanup of the melted ice in the freezer. Well, I've gone on long enough, but wanted you to know what a treat it was to spend this very special weekend, in my life, at your lovely cabin. We are so glad it was spared in the fire. A couple of our friends lost everything at that time. May you have continued happy times, at the cabin yourself, and we hope we can enjoy it again also. Sincerely

All the comforts of home, nestled in the pines

Our family stayed at this beautiful, comfortable cabin retreat for a long weekend in July and had an absolutely wonderful time. The cabin is clean and has all the comforts of home, but you really feel like you're away from home, surrounded by pines and a very serene atmosphere. The lovely log cabin interior and deck were large enough to accommodate all 8 of us (3 generations) very comfortably and there was even room to spare in the loft, if we had a bigger family! Some of our friends came up just for the day to escape the Tucson summer heat and had a wonderful time too. This cabin retreat was perfect for those of us who wanted to "get away" from everything in the city, but also had all the technology we needed to hook up to the internet, play music or watch movies. A nice well stocked kitchen for cooking and room to eat inside or out, depending on the weather. Also, close enough to the town of Summerhaven to walk or drive, where we enjoyed "Music on the Mountain" on Sunday afternoon; fun for all generations. A great location on Mt. Lemmon, offering a nice balance of mountain atmosphere and creature comforts! We hope to come back again soon!!

We rented this cabin over the 4th of July weekend for ourselves and a few friends. It is a fantastic cabin with an incredible deck and was a great retreat to get out of the heat for a weekend. Also it is one of the few cabins on Mt. Lemmon that can sleep a larger group of people without completely breaking the bank. Also, the owners are really nice. We highly recommend this cabin.
