A historic craftsman original, Cascadia has been completely remodeled with careful attention to the historical aspects of the original home which include original wood floors, exposed brick, two fireplaces, ceramic tile, heritage trees as old as the town of Bend, and endless craftsman details.
A mere two blocks from the center of downtown, Cascadia offers a spectacular setting for a downtown Bend vacation combining the convenience of an urban center with the placid beauty for which Central Oregon is known.
On the first story are two separate living rooms areas, one with a light-filled casual dining area and wood-burning fireplace, the other a former parlor complete with piano. Adjacent to the formal living room is a large dining area with custom hand-plastered walls, a crystal chandelier, and generous views of the river.
The large chef’s kitchen is outfitted with granite countertops, stainless appliances, a gas range, dishwasher, a dining counter, and is equipped for the modern gourmet. Also on the first floor is the master bedroom, furnished with a king bed and French doors to the private patio adjacent to the large fenced yard.
This suite enjoys premium privacy with an attached master bath that includes a vanity room separate from the tiled tub and shower. A high-efficiency washer/dryer is found in the hallway, adjacent to another full bath.
Upstairs are three additional bedrooms, two with queen beds, a third with a twin trundle bed, all with serene views of either the river or the mature foliage characteristic of this neighborhood. You will also find a gorgeous third tiled bathroom with tub and shower.

We enjoyed staying at this home. My children enjoyed playing in the snow, my husband enjoyed being able to walk to Starbucks, and I enjoyed having laundry facilities with two little kids. The house is very comfortable, especiallly for families as it has three bathrooms. The interior decor matches the bungalow style of the home. The location is incredible-literally across from Drake Park. We would definitely return to this home.
