There isn't much we can add to all the good things folks have already said about Puu Poa 204. Kevin was really great to deal with. All arrangements done via email and paypal which I found very helpful given my business travel and schedule. We arrived to a very clean condo that was easy to find even on a rainy night. Great views of sunset kept us staying in to cook dinner most every night so as not to miss the evening event. The sounds of the waves is present at all times but not overwhelming and the cool breezes kept us comfortable. There is no AC in this unit and that worried us initially but the breezes in this location and the window-flow setup makes the unit very comfortable. Besides, you would never want to close the windows and close out the sound of the surf. Walk to Hideaway beach or Regis Princeville resort is only 5 minutes at most. Queen's Bath area is a 5 min drive to a short (but slippery) 10 min hike. A great location. We will definitely stay at Puu Poa again. The overall condo area is very well kept and the maintenance guy Joe is a fun island character.

Ultra convenient and beautiful location. This was our first trip to Hawaii so we have nothing to compare it to. Kevin is great to work with, great communication, flexible, and his place felt like home. We would most likely stay again when we return to Kauai.

We stayed at Kevin's condo for a week, right above Hideaways Beach where the snorkeling has got to be the best on the island. The location has superb views, and the condo was equipped with everything you would need for a beach vacation. The kitchen is well stocked for those who like to cook and there are lots of good resturants nearby for those who don't.

Pu'u Po'a is very well situated within a short descent to Hideaways beach, the St Regis Hotel and, for the more daring, a short swim to Hanalei Bay beach. Kevin's condo is well stocked with everything that you'll need for a pleasant day at the beach or a candlelit dinner on the patio viewing either a spectacular sunset or endless stars. Kevin, Mahalo nui loa for a great vacation. ยท

I experienced the perfect holiday. waking up in puu poa was magic. breakfast on the ocean view lanai, followed by eighteen holes of golf on the most picture perfect courses, made my day. of course, everyday was not complete without a swim in the ocean. snorkeling, surfing, whale watching; beautiful kauai, has it all. it was great comming back to kevin's after a fun filled day. all the amenities large and small were first class. i can't wait to come back. Princeville's Puu Poa 204 was indeed everything we imagined. The location is so scenic, pleasant walking environment and essential services within 2 mi. (post office, bank, grocery/sundry store, gift shops, hardware, wine store, several restaurants) Oh, not to mention the spectacular beaches and views within walking distance! The condo was well-appointed and had all essential amenities in the unit down to an iron and ironing board (not that you need one in Kauai!) TV/Cable/Sound system set up covered all the bases. The master bedroom and bath very spacious; kitchen has all the essentials for eating in; Lanai with great, clean furniture to enjoy ocean, whale and surfer views and gas BBQ. Front of unit is all glass with screens/bamboo shades so lots of ability to get 24/7 ocean breeze and sounds. Beach towels, totes, binoculars available; guide books handy. If you do a lot of beach hopping - may want to rent a chair or two if you have a group. (We rented snorkel gear.) Swimming pool at the units is clean and easy access. Units were very quiet and lanais are fairly private so it feels like your own special "pod" on the ocean. (Our rating for service just means - the unit has what it needs so not much servicing is required! Any you can be left alone if you want peace and quiet.) With a rental car, it was such a convenient spot on the North coast to go either west as far out to Ke'e Beach or to go east and hit many other beaches besides those right in Princeville. And at the end of the day, parking for the units is only steps away from the front door, so it is not hard to load/unload your car after a day of sight-seeing. If you want to "glam-it-up" you can literally walk to the spectacular St. Regis hotel for dining/entertainment. The entire property was extremely well-maintained, felt private and comfortably-luxurious without any pretentiousness. Mentally, we're still there - it will capture your imagination!

Wow, what can we say, the condo we rented in Puu Poa was just perfect, comfortable, roomy, beautiful view and peaceful! Our first visit to Kauai...it was an ideal place, while just two of use, it would have been very comfortable with another couple as we never used the back bedroom and there was plenty of space for more...and the view was one we never tired of! Most mornings we saw whales from the patio and even saw a school of dolphins one morning, not to mention the surfers we saw daily out front...talk about perfect!! We highly recommend this condo...great facility and grounds, nicely maintained and even, Joe, the maintenance man was helpful the first morning with lots of great information and suggestions... You can't go wrong with this place...definitely a wonderful place to rent, whether for a day or a week or longer...

It was better than expected. We saw whales every day from the balcony, enjoyed the secluded beach below the complex and the bed was so comfortable we bought one just like it when we returned home. The weather was perfect and so was our vacation.

Thank you Kevin, your condo in Kauai is simply amazing. Our family of 4 just returned from a week long vacation. The view of the Pacific from the lanai is breathtaking. From humpback whales breaching to spinner dolphins playing to waterfalls cascading from the cliffs above Hanalei the location is perfect. Access to the St. Regis adjacent to the property is a major bonus as the amenities of the 4 star resort are a 2 minute walk away. Great snorkeling (big fish and green sea turtles) and surfing are at Hideway beach just below the condo. The management at Puu Poa was also very friendly. The condo was clean and in good shape with loads of beach equipment available for use. Our entire family had a fantastic, exciting and relaxing getaway. Mahalo, Parker and April

If you are at all interested in reconnecting with your sanity, your grounded self, this place will get you there. After a few days the environment surrounding this comfortable large apartment will impose a quite peacefulness to your day. It doesn't seem to matter what you do or where you go,the whole area is stunning to your senses and the location is ideal for exploring the North Shore or anywhere else on the Island. I was able to write music for the first time in years. That was enough for me, I'll be back to Puu Poa 204 as soon as I can. Aloha, Joe

This is the 2nd stay for me and my 22 year old daughter. Kevin's condo is simply unbeatable. Reasonable rates, ample amenities, up-to-date electronics, awesome view, perfect location, access to one of the best beaches in Kauai. I will not stay anywhere else when on this island. Owner and his father are honest and accommodating. We did not want to leave...seriously, we cried at the airport.

We found Kevin"s piece of paradise quite by accident and boy are we glad we did! The view was spectacular, sunsets breath taking, and he had everything anyone could want right in the condo. We often ate dinner in...grilling, cooking in the well stocked kitchen just to enjoy that sunset. The condo's location is quiet, spacious, so comfortable, and a great starting point for morning walks. We could easily get anywhere on the island, but enjoyed staying in also. We enjoyed our vacation and can't wait to return. Kevin is friendly and keeps you well informed. We had a terrific 25th anniversary and just can't wait to return! Thank you for opening your home to us we can't thank you enough!

Great stay. Have been to Princeville several times and always use 204 as our base. Nothing like Christmas in Kauai and the view from the lanai on Christmas morning is fantastic (Whales, rainbows and an occasional pod of dolphins swimming by)! The short hike down to Hideaways beach is also worth the stunning view of Bali Hai on the bay. The condo has everything you need and is recently updated. Have stayed there with kids and other family members, can easily host a family of 5. Yet to run out of hot water! If you want to cook, the condo has all you need; fully equipped kitchen - dishwasher, disposal, microwave. We cooked a turkey dinner for 8 and had all the supplies (you supply the turkey). The tennis court and pool are well kept-up and used every day. Best of all, its close too many sites and other activities. Hanalei is just a 15 minute drive away (across a one-lane bridge!) and horseback riding, zip lines and world-class golf courses nearby. The new lavish St. Regis hotel is next door and is fun to use a place to dress up and relax with a Mai Tai. Rental easy, value is good, and location is great. Will stay over and over again.

Kevin... as we settle back into our daily routine we often think of the great time we had at your place in Kauai. What a fabulous place you have with fabulous views from the lanai, where we spent many morings and evening watching the stunning sunrises and sunsets. The location is superb being above one of our favorite beaches, Hideaways, and adjacent to the St. Regis resort. The condo itself had all the amenties to make our stay one of our most memorable trips. We look forward to our return to the Garden Isle!!! Thank you for sharing your place. It is truly paradise. Aloha. If we had died and gone to heaven, that is where Kevin's accommodations are located. As you open the magnificent glass doors your mouth will drop. We did look at Kevin's virtual tour on line, however, it doesn't come in full perspective until you actually see it for yourself. The house is enchanting and well equipped with any sports equipment imaginable. For example, snorkel gear, bogey boards, tennis rackets, golf clubs and oh yes, a surf board located under the master bed. You truly knew you were in Kauai when you have the Hawaiian music on. Which is conveniently available on the media center in the front living area. We felt, for 1 week, we were living the life of the rich and famous. Thank you Kevin for an amazing stay and we look forward to returning in the near future. Mahalo, Jeff and Michele Chan

Our first trip to Hawaii started with two tourist days in Honolulu but the highlight was a week of paradise and relaxation in Kauai. At Kevin's condo we had everything we needed. From the lanai we soaked in the ocean views, read books and grilled our dinner. From the lanai you can look behind the condo and see mountains and waterfalls. We hiked, enjoyed the beaches and explored the area each day. I cannot wait to go again!

I honestly have never enjoyed a location as much as Kevin's condo. It offers the full package- stand on the lanai and enjoy the ocean or turn around and look behind the condo to view mountains and spectacular waterfalls. Enjoy a homecooked meal on the grill or walk a couple of blocks and enjoy the beaches, restaurants and lobbies of The Princeville Resort. The island is more on the quiet side with endless opportunities for hiking, swimming and enjoying the small towns. It is number one on my list and I cannot wait to return. Thank you Kevin for furnishing and decorating the Condo to be a relaxing and welcoming home away from home!

This is a wonderful retreat from the mad, mad world. After a while the location seems to impose a quiet peacefulness to your soul. I felt inspired to write a few musical progressions, something that has not happened to me in years. The apartment is beautifully well kept and originally decorated. This is a great locality to start the day hiking, swimming, gulfing and snorkeling or just hanging out on the amazing North Shore of Kauai. From the Lanai you can watch the changing ocean swells and hear the waves crashing below. We had a great stay in this dream stop on the way to heaven.

If 204 was 40 yards north it'd be a ship! We enjoyed the water, turtles, boats, swimmers and surfers immensely from both the lanai and from views from inside. Furnishings, the kitchen, artwork, furniture and equipment everything was far better than one could hope for. In our two week stay Kevin's place easily and promptly became home. Sunsets viewing, walks, swims and explores all were easy from Puu Poa. The carvings and art work really made us feel like we were some place special. Love the shower! We cooked at least one meal a day and some were pretty elaborate yet easily prepared in the fully furnished kitchen. Bbq/eating on the lanai was delightful. Walking to the St. Regis, their beach, Hideaways, and the Pale Ke Kola beaches was easy (well, steep, of course). Joe, the Maintenence/resident Manager couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. We look forward to returning repeatedly to #204. Having been to the Princeville area repeatedly we were rather annoyed with ourselves for having stayed other places in the past that were neither as luxurious nor had the view/location/comfort/ambiance of #204 but cost more. Kevin has really made a delightful retreat in paradise! It did often feel like being on a boat... We miss it.
