My husband and I were looking forward to this "beachfront" condo on Fripp, but when we got there, the water came all the way up to the ledge/rocks. Even at low tide, there was no beach access. The owners should definitely make this more clear in their advertisement. Beautiful views! We really enjoyed the Bonito Boathouse restaurant, biking, and other things on Fripp Island. However, we will definitely stay at another location next time.

Owner response:About once or twice a year Fripp Island is subjected to what are called "astronomical high tides" that usually last around 3 days. Even during these extreme tidal events there is always a beach in front of our condo during low tide and there are usually 2 low tides every 24 hours. Also, during low tide there is a large sandbar island that pops up close to the shore that you can easily walk out to in knee deep water for extra fun! This couple was only here for 2 nights and must not have been around at low tide. We have been renting our condo for 10 years with couples coming back again and again year after year and no one has ever said this before!

We had 100x more fun at Fripp Island and your condo than we ever could have expected! From exploring the Island, searching to see what the tide brought up, watching the dolphins in the water and being greeted by the welcoming committee, it was AMAZING! Your condo was in the perfect location and the parking garage was great (didn't have to worry about a hot car or golf cart). You were right it was so much better than Hilton Head! What a wonderful place to spend our first anniversary together! We hope to be back again soon! Thanks again!

Great second visit to your condo. dolphins, birds, deer, baby Wright whale (about 10 ft). Good fishing around the jetty. Caught flounder, trout and angel fish. Relaxing and wonderful stay. Hope to return to Fripp!

We enjoyed the condo very much - everything was here that we needed! Beaufort was pretty and it was fun to explore the surrounding areas, but there is nothing like coming back across the bridge to Fripp!

This was our 1st trip to the island and thank god we landed at the "oasis". It was the greatest. So relaxing and we had a blast in the ocean. We found 170 sand dollars one day!! and so many shells - they were beautiful. Oh yea the fishing was great also. Thank you!

Great view of the ocean from the balcony. short walk to beach and a nice bike ride to shopping center. Only think I didnt like was the bed room is pretty small and kind of stuffy but with the fan on it wasnt a problem. Would definently stay there again!

Thank you for the "Oasis". It truly was. We enjoyed our first time here, as we spent our 49 years together in marriage. We enjoyed our 38th wedding anniversary on Fripp. With the help of Collins, the new head naturalist at the Activity Center, we learned about the delicate ecosystems and wildlife on the island - Everything from where to find fiddler crabs to where to watch the sun setting. We hate to leave.

We had a very fun packed week! The children enjoyed swimming and seeing the ocean for the 1st time. We loved the sand bars and the treasures and creatures we found there each day. A week wasn't long enough - we never got to the "relax" part with so much to see and do. Fripp Island is certainly a treasure and one of our favorite places now. God's world is amazing and the "low country" is one of the best. Thank you!

Something for everyone - alligators, crabs, dolphins and deer for the boy - shelling, swimming and sight-seeing for the girl. Us parents enjoyed the awesome view, the crashing sounds of the waves and the relaxing and comfortable coziness of our week long stay being with family and away from all our normal daily responsibilities. We enjoyed riding around in our golf cart - even at the fearless speed of pedal to the floor - 10 miles per hour!

Fishing was fantastic - caught a 7-10 lb. red fish! We've never stayed anywhere so peaceful and enjoyable. It was our first trip to Fripp Island and we were very pleased with the condo.

We truly enjoyed our stay here on Fripp Island. Your condo is very nice, cozy and has magnificent views of the ocean. It was such a pleasure to wake up in the morning - pull the drapes and see the beauty of the sun rising. The courtyard in back is so beautiful, so well manicured with so many beautiful plants. Our visit has been all we hoped it sould be. We love the condo! The view is awesome! Bonito's has wonderful food - the she-crab soup is the best we have had. Fripp Island is great. We hope to return.
