The two bedroom / three bathroom of your dreams.
Every now and then during your travels you come upon an apartment that dwarfs all others in terms of space, style and luxury, making your stay so memorable you'll still be recommending the place to others years from now. The Principal is one of those places.
This sprawling 160 m2 (1720 sq. ft.) apartment with two bedrooms and three bathrooms runs the entire depth of the stately art deco building near Placa Catalunya. The Principal offers deluxe features such as a freestanding tub in the master bedroom and a gorgeous private courtyard.
Living, eating, enjoying.
Enter the Principal apartment and instantly you're struck by its subtle opulence and style. Feel yourself relax as you take in the color scheme of white, beige and sunny brown hues. Get inspired by the mix of Danish, Italian and of course Catalan design classics.
The gorgeous, high-end kitchen connects to the dining area and the living room with sunroom, which in turn accesses the courtyard. A 5th and 6th person can sleep comfortably in the living room on foldaway beds and enjoy their own, third bathroom in dramatic black, with a rain shower.
The master suite
The splendid master bedroom features a freestanding Agape Spoon tub. This ergonomic, 7-foot spoon-shaped bathtub is designed to provide optimal water distribution and relaxation. The master bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom with rain shower, hand shower and double vanity.
After your deluxe dip, wrap yourself in one of the Hammam towels and enjoy the city views in the large bay window, with its gorgeous Chesterfield couch and original, restored doors.
The second bedroom
Like the master suite the second bedroom has a top quality, Swiss-made king size bed. The French balcony provides a great city view. The en-suite white marble bathroom has a rain shower and a hand shower and accesses a small patio with a little deck.
Top quality, thoughtful details abound throughout the apartment, such as the fluffy towels and the Hammam towels, the soft and firm pillows and the crisp, cream and white 100% linen bedding. There is a separate laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer.
Lounging in the courtyard
The courtyard, measuring 50 m2 (538 sq ft), is great for entertaining as it has both a dinner and a lounge area. Thanks to the remote-controlled white canvas canopy you can let in just as much sunlight as you want.

Staying in this apartment means getting the best of both worlds. Just a few steps north, you're in the classy Eixample district. Venture south and instantly you're surrounded by history in the Gothic quarter, or Barri Gòtic.
Just a minute's walk north from the apartment is the Passeig de Gracia, the central avenue of the Eixample district. Fitting with the grandeur of the buildings and the majestic fountain in the middle, this street hosts some of the most exclusive shops in the city.
And as you stroll from designer shop to department store, you happen upon some of the city's worldwide celebrities: the Gaudí buildings, two of which (La Pedrera and Casa Battlo) are in fact a world heritage site. Eixample also offers some of the finest restaurants and bars of the city. We would be happy to give you some inside tips during your stay.
A stroll south of the apartment brings you to the Barri Gòtic, the oldest part of the city, famous among others for its many cathedrals. The area, which dates back to medieval times, oozes character and charm. In the narrow, winding streets you come across many boutiques and trendy bars. Central to the area is Las Ramblas, the connected series of streets famous for its street artists and flower stalls and if you walk down La Rambla, you pass la Boqueria, by far the city's best indoor food market. Definitely worth a visit.
Another district close by is el Raval, an up and coming area where you will find not only the MACBA museum for contemporary art but also many galleries and boutiques. And, just to get you in the mood: if you walk from your apartment to the MACBA museum you come across Plaça Vicenç Martorell, a square with some great bars for breakfast and lunch.
