Secluded and nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, this Cabin is richly decorated and offers Beautiful Mountain Views! The Living Room features a Cathedral Ceiling rising to the Loft area, with Large Picture Windows to allow full access to the Beautiful Smoky Mountain Views, an attractive Stacked Stone Gas Fireplace, a Leather Sleeper Sofa with matching Love Seat, and Chair provided for your comfort.
This room has a 52 inch LCD HDTV, DVD Player and DirecTV High Definition programming with Local Channels, NFL Sunday Ticket, ESPN College Game Plan package, and DirecTV Sports Package. You can watch any NFL game with the NFL Sunday Ticket Package on DirecTV. The ESPN College Game Plan gives you 12 different college games to choose from every Saturday during the football season.
There is a Master Bedroom Suite and a Full Bath on each of the 3 Levels for your ultimate privacy. Each of the Bedrooms is elegantly furnished with King Size Beds with Plush Pillow Top Mattresses and 550 Thread Count Cotton Sheets, matching Dressers, Nightstands and HDTV with DVD player. Why the Owner Chose Wears Valley
We take a family vacation each year. In June 1998 we visited the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area for the first time. During our vacation we fell in love with Wears Valley which is 5 miles from Pigeon Forge. Our family liked the area so much that we purchased land to build a cabin on during our vacation that year. Elegant Hideaway was built during 2005 and completed on Thanksgiving of that year. Cindy and I listed Secluded Hideaway on VRBO in April 2008.
We prefer to custom build our own cabins because we enjoy being "hands on" and feel like we can offer a better product for our guests rather than buying a "spec" cabin from a developer. For example: we have slate tile flooring in our Kitchen and 3 Bathrooms, a A/C Unit and Thermostat on each of the 3 levels, Copper inlaid Countertops in the Kitchen, Ceiling Fans throughout the cabin, 3 Decks, all wood construction to give you the true cabin feel, built in Hair Dryers and Magnifying Makeup Mirrors in each Bathroom, and a wall of glass to enjoy the Spectacular Mountain View on each of the 3 levels of the cabin.
The location of our cabin is in a Secluded area where you have complete privacy but is just minutes from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Secluded Hideaway is located on Hatcher Mountain which has a beautiful view of Cove Mountain and other nearby mountains. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park is the most visited National Park of all the National Parks, over 12 million vistors each year. There are so many things to do in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg: Dollywood, Music Theatres, Outlet Malls, Bass Pro Shop, Restaurants, Snow Skiing, Hiking, Tubing, Fishing, or just riding around taking it all in.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Our cabin has 3 Levels, on each Level is a Master Bedroom Suite with King Bed and a Private Bath, so everyone has their privacy. The Loft Bathroom has a romantic 2 person jetted Jacuzzi Tub with a view of the beautiful mountains.
A Deck is located on each of the 3 Levels. Wooden Rocking Chairs on each Deck are the perfect way to enjoy an early morning cup of coffee and mother nature's beauty.
Each Bedroom Suite has a King Bed with Plush Pillow Top Mattress and 550 Thread Count Cotton Sheets. Our Pillow Top Mattresses are as comfortable as you will find in any 4 or 5 star hotel.
We have a Home Theater Room with 6 Theater Chairs, 60" Plasma TV, Blu-ray DVD Player, 5.1 Surround Sound System, and DirecTV High Definition Receiver to watch your favorite movie or sporting event. Also a 52" HDTV with DirecTV High Definition Programming and DVD Player is located in the Den. During football season we have NFL Sunday Ticket and ESPN College Game Plan to choose from.
If you need to work or just surf the internet we have WiFi.
A Stacked Stone Gas Fireplace is located in the Den. Our Kitchen is fully equipped if you don't want to go out.
The lower Level has a Gameroom with a full size Pool Table and Arcade Game with 60 different Video Games to play. The Deck on this level features a 6 person Hot Tub.
Shortest route to National Park, Metcalf Bottoms Picnic area Laurel Fall, and Cades Cove scenic ride.
13 mile one way scenic drive. Best time to see wildlife is early morning or late afternoon.
Intersection of Wears Valley Road and 441 in Pigeon Forge. 7 mile drive to Hatcher Mtn Road.

My name is Don Ward and I am a Vice President at Bank of Brewton in Brewton, AL and also past President and Director of the Greater Brewton Chamber of Commerce. My wife, Cindy is a National Board Certified teacher who teaches at Brewton Middle School. Our daughter Ashleigh is a student at the University of Alabama where she received a Presidential academic scholarship. Ashleigh is a Crimsonette (majorette) in Alabama's Million Dollar Band. We enjoy traveling to different places each year during our summer vacation. We have 2 rental properties that we manage and 2 rental properties that a management company manages for us. We have stayed at a dozen cabins in the Wear's Valley area over the past few years and I must say that this was the best cabin experience. The owner of the cabin informed us that we could check in early (without even having to ask). Upon arrival we found the cabin to be exceptionally clean and very nicely appointed. It seems as if the owners wanted to make sure that everyone who stayed there felt like they were at home. This was most evident in the furnishings throughout. While most owners might fill their rental units with lower to mid range items, this cabin was done just like you would if it were your own. All amenities were in very good condition, with little signs of wear. The kitchen contained more than enough day to day items and cookware. The entertainment items (TVs and game room) were all in great condition as well. The view from all three decks was perfect for this time of year (winter) with a clear view of the mountains during the day. I would also like to note that the sunrise was a nice wakeup call from the loft bed. The owners take the time to insure their guests do not have any questions throughout the reservation process and the stay itself. We even received a call upon arrival to make sure everything was just as we had expected. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to spend a few high quality nights in the area. This would be our highest rated cabin in the area and that is saying a lot after staying in the dozen or so we have.

Excellent, top notch furnishing throughout. Private, yet close enough for shopping and whatever needs family wanted to do. Personally, stayed in touch via cell and/or I-Pad, on call without stress and demands from work. Clean, organized with amenities to fit whatever age and/or desires of entire family. We truly enjoyed out stay and look forward to returning soon.

my first time in the smokies and I got lucky. this is a five star cabin with all the amentities. the views were amazingly beautiful. the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with cutlery, china, coffee maker, the whole nine yards. if i'm back in this area again I would stay here in a heartbeat. Our time in the mountains this trip was great. Staying at Elegant Hideaway was everything plus more than we expected. This was our first time to stay in a quiet and secluded cabin, but would definitely want to stay here next time. The drive to Pigeon Forge is such a short distance and a short drive to the national park. The cabin is beautifully furnished and we enjoyed every aspect of our stay from TV to hot tub. I would recommend this beautiful mountain home to anyone who wants to relax in a peaceful place, and not all the noise and crowds in Gatlingburg or Pigeon Forge. Mountain views from decks was spectacular.

Our family stayed at Elegant Hideaway the week of July 4th. We had a great time! Although we have been coming to the Smokies for years on vacation, this was our first experience renting directly from an owner and not using a rental company. We were very pleased! We found the owners to be extremely helpful and available to us through out the entire process. Elegant Hideaway was easy to find and the roads leading to the cabin were not hard to drive. We found the cabin to be very clean and well stocked. The high quality bedding was a nice change from the usual low end rental linens we were use to. The view was spectacular and we enjoyed taking advantage of the hot tub and taking the view in. The new media room was top notch and probably the whole family's favorite amenity at the cabin! We all had great time and would highly recommend this cabin to anyone else interested in a fabulous rental. Cindy O

Loved the location. It felt secluded but was easy to get to. The cabin was beautiful with wonderful amenities. The hot tub was great and we really enjoyed the theater area. The views were incredible and working with Don was pleasant. Our kids had a blast and really enjoyed the video arcade. We will definitely go back for another trip.

When we look for cabins we look for upscale and secluded. This cabin was both, yet not too far off the beaten path. We stayed here over Memorial Day Weekend 2011 to get "away" for a few days. The cabin was more than we could ask for. The cabin was clean, well maintained, and had everything you could need. The pictures are true and accurate, you can't see a neighbor from any window. We were able to go into "town" when we wanted to and it wasn't that far away or we could just hide and enjoy the peace and quiet at the cabin. The owners were very easy to work with and offered us an early check-in and late check-out. This was great considering we had an early flight in and a late flight out. I would recommend this cabin without hesitation! Go, enjoy the peace and quiet!

This was our first time in the area so we weren't sure what to expect. The cabin far exceeded our expectations...great location (very isolated), beautiful furnishings & ammenities, and a fabulous view. Our experience renting from Don & Cindy was great...the information we received before our trip was very very helpful; it provided information about the area including restaurants, activities and 'things to do'. We also received a phone call from Don, just 'checking in', to make sure we had everything we needed and were satisified with the accomodations.
