Elegant Hideaway is a luxurious 3 Story, 3 Bedroom/3 Bath Cabin. Secluded and nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, this Cabin is richly decorated and offers Beautiful Mountain Views! The Living Room features a Cathedral Ceiling rising to the Loft area, with Large Picture Windows to allow full access to the Beautiful Smoky Mountain Views, an attractive Stacked Stone Gas Fireplace, a Micro Suede Sleeper Sofa with matching Love Seat, and a Rocking Recliner provided for your comfort.
This room has a 52 inch LCD HD TV with DirecTV satellite programming including High Definition programming, NFL Sunday Ticket, ESPN College Game Plan package, and DirecTV Sports Package. You can watch any NFL game with the NFL Sunday Ticket Package on DirecTV. The ESPN College Game Plan gives you 12 different college games to choose from. A Home Theatre System with 5 speakers to watch your favorite movie on the DVD/VCR player.
There is a Master Bedroom Suite and a Full Bath on each of the 3 Levels for your ultimate privacy. Each of the Bedrooms is elegantly furnished with King Size Beds with Plush Pillowtop Mattresses and 400 Thread Count Egyptian Cotton Sheets, matching Dressers, Nightstands and 27" flat screen TV with DVD player.
On each of the 3 Levels there is also a spacious Deck in which to enjoy the fresh mountain air. Indulge yourself with a relaxing soak in the 6 person Hot Tub with privacy wall, located on the Lower Deck. The Master Bedroom upstairs is in a spacious Loft with Cathedral Ceiling overlooking a Panoramic Mountain View. The Bathroom, has a 2 person Jacuzzi Tub you can relax in and enjoy the Beautiful Panoramic View, and a stand up Shower.
The Main Level features a custom Kitchen with Beautiful Inlaid Copper Counter Tops and for an added convenience there is a Laundry Closet with a Washer and Dryer. The adjoining Dining Room will comfortably seat 6 guests and offers a perfect view of the mountains beyond.
The Lower Level features a large Game Room furnished for fun. Enjoy a friendly game of pool or air hockey or relax at the Pub Table and Chairs nearby. Also located in the Game Room is a 32" TV with DVD Player offering DirecTV satellite programming, NFL Sunday Ticket, ESPN College Game Plan, and DirecTV Sports Package.

Why the Owner Chose Wears Valley
We take a family vacation each year. In June 1998 we visited the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area for the first time. During our vacation we fell in love with Wears Valley which is 6 miles from Pigeon Forge. Our family liked the area so much that we purchased land to build a cabin on during our vacation that year. Elegant Hideaway was built during 2005 and completed on Thanksgiving of that year. Cindy and I listed Elegant Hideaway on VRBO in April 2008.
We prefer to custom build our own cabins because we enjoy being "hands on" and feel like we can offer a better product for our guests rather than buying a "spec" cabin from a developer. For example: we have slate tile flooring in our kitchen and 3 bathrooms, a thermostat on each of the 3 levels, copper inlaid countertops in the kitchen, ceiling fans throughout the cabin, 3 decks, all wood construction to give you the true cabin feel, built in hair dryers and magnifying makeup mirrors in each bathroom, and a wall of glass to enjoy the spectacular mountain view on each of the 3 levels of the cabin.
The location of our cabin is in a secluded area where you have complete privacy but is just minutes from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Elegant Hideaway is located on Hatcher Mountain which has beautiful mountain views. The Great Smoky Mountain NP is the most visited National Park of all the National Parks, over 12 million vistors each year. There are so many things to do in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg: Dollywood, Music Theatres, Outlet Malls, Bass Pro Shops, Restaurants, Snow Skiing, Hiking, Tubing, Fishing, or just riding around taking it all in.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Our cabin has 3 Levels, on each Level is a Master Bedroom Suite with a Private Bath, so everyone has their privacy. The Loft Bathroom has a romantic 2 person Jacuzzi Tub with a view of the beautiful mountains. A Deck is located on each of the 3 Levels. Wooden Rocking Chairs on each Deck are the perfect way to enjoy an early morning cup of coffee and mother nature's beauty. Each Bedroom Suite has a King Bed with Plush Pillowtop Mattress and 400 Thread Count Egyptian Cotton Sheets. Our Pillowtop Mattresses are as comfortable as you will find in any 4 or 5 star hotel. A 52" HDTV with DirecTV High Definition Programming to watch your favorite team play is located in the Den. During football season we have NFL Sunday Ticket and ESPN College Gameplan to choose from. If you need to work or just surf the internet we have WIFI. A Stacked Stone Gas Fireplace is located in the Den. Our Kitchen is fully equipped if you don't want to go out.
The lower Level has a Gameroom with a full size Pool Table and Air Hockey Table. The Deck on this level features a 6 person Hot Tub.
Shortest route to National Park, Metcalf Bottoms Picnic area Laurel Fall, and Cades Cove scenic ride.
13 mile one way scenic drive. Best time to see wildlife is early morning or late afternoon.

Hi, I am Don Ward, a Vice President at Bank of Brewton in Brewton, AL. My wife, Cindy is an elementary school teacher who teaches the 5th grade. Our daughter Ashleigh is in the 12th grade at TR Miller HS where she is a majorette. Ashleigh was selected as the 2010 Junior Miss runner-up for Escambia County. "Perfect three couple getaway." "Each of the three levels has its own private bathroom and bedroom. This makes this cabin the perfect three couple getaway. We only heard neighbors one time. Very secluded. Property was exactly as described, being clean and well-maintained. It was nice to receive a personal call during our stay from the owner checking on own stay. We had two small requests which he promtly took care of. Would recomend this property to anyone. Internet and cell phone service was no problem. Very quiet and peaceful. Short distance from many tourist attractions. Being from south Texas where we don't have any hills much less mountains, we average driving a mile a minute. This won't happen in the beautiful hills and mountains of Tennessee. Will stay there again when we return to Smokey Mountains. "Great Time! Thx Don and Cindy" "We were looking for a weekend away with splendid mountain views, top notch ameneties, yet true cabin feel. WE FOUND IT HERE. The cabin is just like the description and more. To sit out on one of the many decks and enjoy coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening was delightful. To be just down the mountain from the bustle of Pigeon Forge, yet feel so far away and removed from it all was exactly what we were looking for. We came for the Ziplining in Sevierville, and is not to be missed! We also went rafting which was a blast for the family. The BBQ joint just down the mountain at Hatcher Mountain Rd and Wears Valley was a great lunch, too. Loved it so much, we are renting again next month and bringing my mother. "Great Weekend Getaway" "My wife and I and friends spent 3 great days in a lovely cabin. Played pool and just enjoyed the quiet and the views from the 3 decks. The cabin was just as the pictures showed and Don was a very helpful host. It is very easy to get into the park from the cabin and also Pigeon Forge. "Private Cabin ***NICE***" "This is a nice cabin, located about 6.5 miles from parkway in Pigeon Forge, it don't take very long to get there. The cabin is perfect for 3 couples, it has three levels with a full queen bedroom,full bath and deck on each level, split the rent 3 ways and you got one heck of a deal for everyone. There are a few cabins around but they are not very close and in June we could only see one from the porch that was close and it was hard to see, the cabin is about as private as you can find nowdays, around that area. We did see several wild turkeys, along the road coming to the cabin and one morning we saw three large turkeys and about 6 young ones about 20 feet from the cabin. Don was very nice, he did just what he said he would, he was easy to get in touch with, easy to work with, I don't thank you can do any better. "OUR WONDERFULL WEEK" "We just came back from a week at this wonderfull cabin. The cabin is just as the photos show. The cabin was very clean. We had 5 people with us. 2 couples and one single person. Everyone had their own space & bathrooms.. We can not say enough about this. We were going to get 3 motel/hotel rooms when we started looking at cabins. We are so glad we did. We came back from the busy streets and shops to a place that was so quite, where you could unwind. There is nothing like sitting on the deck and watching the sun set or rise.We would recomend this cabin to anyone. We spent time at Dollywood, the water park at Dollywood, we saw the Dixie Stampede (wonderfull), horseback riding, etc. The list of things to do is extensive. We never slept so well when traveling. Don was so easy to work with and a very nice person. When we get ready for another vacation, we want to try his property in Alabama. Again, just a great place to stay!!" "Perfect Choice for Smokeys" "Only time constraints will keep this review brief as my family recently returned from a 3 day stay at Elegant Hideaway with rave reviews from all 3 generations. Wife wanted "quiet side" of Smokeys and we got it, but with no sacrifice as Pigeon Forge is close by and we made use of its restaurants and activities. Quick comments: 1. No surprises. Immaculate, beautifully maintained, well equipped. Easy to get to and navigate. First time up the mountain you'll wonder "how much further" but thereafter it's easy. Recommend initial arrival during daylight hours. 2. Owners. Great communications - nice people. Quick and full refund of security deposit. Cleaning fee steeper than some but when you see the cabin - you'll understand why. Interiror looks like it was built yesterday and never occupied. 3. Cost. You can find cheaper, but especially if your group is 4 or more, and you want no surprises, you should risk it. This was a splurge for us but worth every penny, especially compared to my bargain hotels in Chattanooga and Nashville. 4. Negatives. None really, unless you count having your teenager want to stay in the cabin for the pool, air hockey, hot tub, and big screen TV instead of getting outdoors. We were blessed with good weather but this cabin would have great as a rainy day activity center and was still great for keeping children engaged when older folks needed rest. Slight word of caution to those with toddlers. Our 2 year old was likely typical and constantly wanting to explore. 3 days of up and down 3 levels would have been hard without 4 adults sharing the load. 4. Miscellaneous. Try Timbers restaurant. Also, there's a farmer's market with great fruits/veggies just a few blocks from foot of mountain. Krogers is just short of Pigeon Forge main street and provided us opportunity to save on meals when we felt like home cooking." "Great Smokey Mountain Vacation " "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elegant Hideway. Don was very easy to work with and even called and checked on us during our stay. The view is gorgeous from every level. The cabin is very accessable to Dollywood, Cades Cove etcs. We went to Cades Coves on Wednesday morning early but take note the motor vehicles are not allowed until 10:00 a.m. on Wed. & Sat.. We also went to Laurel Falls. Great hike for all ages. Also Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail is also beautiful drive. We also enjoyed Dollywood and her new show Sha-Kon-O-Hey! It was a Much needed vacation and we had a wonderful time!!
