Perfect Mountain Getaway

Guest: Melissa J. (Beckley, West Virginia)
Date of Stay: 05/18/12 Review Submitted: 05/24/12

The pictures look nice but they cannot show the true beauty of this cabin! The views from the decks are beautiful. The cabin is very well maintained, updated, and extremely clean!! You earn 5 stars in cleanliness alone! The owner was very friendly and welcoming and easy to get into contact with. We came as a group of 7 adults and slept comfortably and did not have to worry about any one person hogging the bathroom. One of visitors came by and said we were living the "rock stars" because our cabin was so nice and huge! We were just a short drive to all of the area attractions and shopping. I highly recommend and would love to come back during the winter months when snow would be covering the mountains.

A Wonderful Cabin To Stay In!!!

This cabin was so nice!! Everything was exactly as it is in the pictures. Very Clean!! The owners are very nice to deal with. Our kids LOVED the arcade machine!!! The beds were very comfy (I actually think this was the best I've ever slept while on vacation) During our stay we brought the kids to Magiquest and went on our first ever Helicopter Ride....what an awesome experience!! Had dinner at The Chop House, they have great food. We will definately stay here again or one of the owners other properties because I'm sure they'd be as nice as this was.

Our vacation experience was amazing at this secluded cabin. We were thoroughly surprised at all the cabin had to offer: theater room, hot tub, kitchen amenities, comfortable beds, washer and dryer, pool table, etc. The cabin was also close to restaurants, activities for the whole family, grocery store, etc. We would recommend this cabin to other families who want to just get away and relax! We hope to get back soon as well!

The cabin was beautiful. Every floor has windows with a beautiful view of the mountains. The cabin is open and spacious with each bedroom having its own floor and a private bathroom. The cabin was in a great location in Wears Valley and it was just a short drive to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Great amenities. Everything pictured and more. Terrific layout with master bedrooms on all three floors. Fantastic view from all three porches. Owner was extremely nice to deal with. He was very helpful and thorough. He called upon our arrival to be sure we were quite comfortable with everything. Location was close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and lots of other entertainment, shopping, etc... we just did what comes natural in the Great Smokey Mtns...RELAXED.

The owners are so easy to work with and Don checks with you after your arrival to make sure everything is in order and to your expectations. We look forward to our next trip at Secluded Hideaway

Excellent, top notch furnishing throughout. Private, yet close enough for shopping and whatever needs family wanted to do. Personally, stayed in touch via cell and/or I-Pad, on call without stress and demands from work. Clean, organized with amenities to fit whatever age and/or desires of entire family. We truly enjoyed out stay and look forward to returning soon.

Our time in the mountains this trip was great. Staying at Elegant Hideaway was everything plus more than we expected. This was our first time to stay in a quiet and secluded cabin, but would definitely want to stay here next time. The drive to Pigeon Forge is such a short distance and a short drive to the national park. The cabin is beautifully furnished and we enjoyed every aspect of our stay from TV to hot tub. I would recommend this beautiful mountain home to anyone who wants to relax in a peaceful place, and not all the noise and crowds in Gatlingburg or Pigeon Forge. Mountain views from decks was spectacular.

Amazing!! Our time in TN was awesome! We spent a great deal of our time in the cabin. It was very clean, modern and nicely decorated. The cabin had everything that we could have asked for and more. We loved the multiple balconies, the hot tub, the game room, and the theater room. The master bedroom on the loft was also spectacular. The privacy of the cabin gave us the opportunity to really spend quality time together while in beautiful Smoky Mountains. The views were all breath taking. The icing on the cake was Don and Cindy; they are wonderful people. They answered all of our questions and made themselves available if we needed anything during our trip. They also gave us all of the information that we needed to visit some of the best restaurants and local attractions. We have already been making plans to go back to TN and stay at the Elegant Hideaway again. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anybody.

Date of Stay: 07/02/11 Review Submitted: 08/26/11

Our family stayed at Elegant Hideaway the week of July 4th. We had a great time! Although we have been coming to the Smokies for years on vacation, this was our first experience renting directly from an owner and not using a rental company. We were very pleased! We found the owners to be extremely helpful and available to us through out the entire process. Elegant Hideaway was easy to find and the roads leading to the cabin were not hard to drive. We found the cabin to be very clean and well stocked. The high quality bedding was a nice change from the usual low end rental linens we were use to. The view was spectacular and we enjoyed taking advantage of the hot tub and taking the view in. The new media room was top notch and probably the whole family's favorite amenity at the cabin! We all had great time and would highly recommend this cabin to anyone else interested in a fabulous rental. Cindy O

This was our first time in the area so we weren't sure what to expect. The cabin far exceeded our expectations...great location (very isolated), beautiful furnishings & ammenities, and a fabulous view. Our experience renting from Don & Cindy was great...the information we received before our trip was very very helpful; it provided information about the area including restaurants, activities and 'things to do'. We also received a phone call from Don, just 'checking in', to make sure we had everything we needed and were satisified with the accomodations. It was a great time for our family...we would definitely go back! Thanks, The Joneses

When we look for cabins we look for upscale and secluded. This cabin was both, yet not too far off the beaten path. We stayed here over Memorial Day Weekend 2011 to get "away" for a few days. The cabin was more than we could ask for. The cabin was clean, well maintained, and had everything you could need. The pictures are true and accurate, you can't see a neighbor from any window. We were able to go into "town" when we wanted to and it wasn't that far away or we could just hide and enjoy the peace and quiet at the cabin. The owners were very easy to work with and offered us an early check-in and late check-out. This was great considering we had an early flight in and a late flight out. I would recommend this cabin without hesitation! Go, enjoy the peace and quiet!

This was a great place to stay for the girls get-away weekend. It's not too hard to find or get to, yet out of the away enough that it is very private. The listing description and photos are exactly what you get. It is very elegant, not the ''Kountry cabin" feel of a lot of places I've seen in the Smokies. The view is great. The Hot Tub was very nice. Everything was clean and just like home when we walked in. The TV and Home Theater were easy to use and great fun in the evenings. It's easy to get to the Park and back up to Gatlinburg if you really want to leave. I would have preferred to stay at the cabin the entire time. I would and have recommended this property to my friends. The group that I went with wants to come back next spring!

Best Easter Vacation

Guest: Carol (Franklin, WI)
Date of Stay: 04/22/11 Review Submitted: 05/02/11

My family (three boys ages 13, 11 and 7) just returned home from our Easter break after spending a week at the Elegant Hideaway. From the second we walked into Don's gorgeous home and looked out the windows to a panoramic view of the Smokey Mountains, I knew we were going to have a great week. Everything about the accomodations were perfect - all of the time spent in the cabin was well spent family time watching movies, playing pool or enjoying the incredible view from the hot tub. After several days and being acquainted with the area, we were so happy we were not in a cabin right off the main roads as many are. The Elegant Hideaway was centrally located to all of the area's attractions and national park. The ownders were very attentive to the questions i had before arriving and made our stay perfect. We send our thanks to them!

Date of Stay: 03/19/11 Review Submitted: 03/27/11

The home was as described and comfortable with plenty of room for our family of four. The balconies are wonderful for an afternoon with a book. The loft bedroom was perfect for our 12-year-old son who wasn't worried about privacy and just thought it was cool. We all enjoyed the pool table and the newly installed "theater room". Our son loved the video arcade console. The drive to the home is a little challenging and not for those uncomfortable driving narrow, winding roads, but the home is worth the trip. The view is lovely and must be more so once the trees have leafed out. We went to Dixie Stampede and got a good meal and a well-done and very enjoyable show. We were very impressed by the Ripley Aquarium in Gatlinburg. Mostly spent lots of time enjoying the beauty of the Smoky Mtns Nat'l Forest. We're already talking about a return trip.

We have stayed at a dozen cabins in the Wear's Valley area over the past few years and I must say that this was the best cabin experience. The owner of the cabin informed us that we could check in early (without even having to ask). Upon arrival we found the cabin to be exceptionally clean and very nicely appointed. It seems as if the owners wanted to make sure that everyone who stayed there felt like they were at home. This was most evident in the furnishings throughout. While most owners might fill their rental units with lower to mid range items, this cabin was done just like you would if it were your own. All amenities were in very good condition, with little signs of wear. The kitchen contained more than enough day to day items and cookware. The entertainment items (TVs and game room) were all in great condition as well. The view from all three decks was perfect for this time of year (winter) with a clear view of the mountains during the day. I would also like to note that the sunrise was a nice wakeup call from the loft bed. The owners take the time to insure their guests do not have any questions throughout the reservation process and the stay itself. We even received a call upon arrival to make sure everything was just as we had expected. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to spend a few high quality nights in the area. This would be our highest rated cabin in the area and that is saying a lot after staying in the dozen or so we have.

Christmas at Elegant Hideaway

This is by far the best vacation I've had in a long time!!! Thank you Don and Cindy for keeping such a beautiful, CLEAN cabin. The location was perfect. We wanted to hide and that's what we got. It snowed about 15inches starting on Christmas Eve and for the first time in my life I had a white Christmas. There was four of us. My husband two daughters ages 9 and 12 and myself. Even though we were snowed in for a couple of days never did we feel Cabin Fever. For me the best thing was how nice the kitchen was. The kitchen supplies were new and clean. Don't find that very often in rentals. We will definitely consider Elegant Hideaway again next year. Thanks Don and Cindy for making our Christmas so special

What a great place to spend some quality time with family/friends!! The cabin is located close enough to the city that all your shopping, dining and entertainment needs can be fulfilled. I got my Christmas shopping started at the huge outlet mall nearby. It's got lots of great stores. And there's tons of places to eat. Our favorite was Huck Finn's. If you like catfish breaded in cornmeal, give them a try. It's delicious! But if it's peace and quiet you want, it's got that too. You can relax in the hot tub, play pool or air hockey, watch a movie or just curl up with a good book in front of the fireplace all the while enjoying a spectacular view from any of 3 balconies. The cabin was very neat and clean and everything we needed was there at our fingertips...just like at home. We highly recommend this beautiful cabin to everyone!

Eldest of the three I was most impressed with how clean this property is, not to mention how well kept it is. We had a delightful weekend visiting the area and had much fun just visiting with each other. I would consider staying here again & would recommend it in a moment to anyone wanting to get away from it all. Easy to reach from Knoxville or Pigeon Forge and what you see on the pictures is what you get. There is plenty of room for three couples with space to spare.A few kids could probably be included if the adults can stand the noise & additional confusion. This was a 5 star vacation for sure.

Other than the storm coming up the east coast messin' up our riding a couple days during the week we had a great time in the Smokies. The cabin is everything you could hope for and everything as promoted. We had 3 couples with everyone having adequate privacy and space to hang out seprately if the need arose. If you are pulling a trailer be careful to not over run the turn off for the cabin, or the cabin itself because it's close quarters in "them thar hills"! It was foggy when we arived at 10pm Friday night and we missed the turn to the cabin... Needless to say we got there but it was a pretty tight "turn-a-round to swing a SUV AND a 16 footer... Otherwise we had a great time and Don called twice to make sure everything was going well. Wouldn't hesitate to send a friend or relative to stay with the Ward's at Elegant Hideway... Thanks for a great place to stay on my first visit to the Smokies!

Wonderful Vacation

Date of Stay: 09/11/10 Review Submitted: 10/03/10

The cabin was exactly as it was represented in the listing. Actually, the pictures do not do it justice. It is indeed an Elegant Hideaway! The cabin was clean, the kitchen well outfitted with appliances and cooking utensils, the beds are so comfy (and big) and the scenery is gorgeous. The first leaves were beginning to turn while we were there and I can only imagine how beautiful October is. My husband and daughter enjoyed hiking the trails and horseback riding (saw several bears on their excursions). We saw another bear while driving through Cades Cove, along with lots of turkeys, and deer. Mr. Ward was very easy to work with and we really appreciated the phone call from him on arrival to check and make sure everything was in order. I have recommended this cabin to lots of people that I work with who are interested in a vacation to the Smokies. I only have one teeny suggestion. It would be nice to have had a patio set, or a picnic table on the middle balcony to be able to sit and eat. We fixed several evening meals there at the cabin and with the wonderful weather, it would have been nice to be able to eat outside. My husband said if that's all I could find to "compain" about, we can call this vacation a winner!! Thanks also for returning our deposit in such a timely manner.

Our family enjoyed a relaxing four day stay at the "Elegant Hideaway". The accommodations were excellent with all the amenities and seclusion to our liking. It is a great place to refresh, far enough away from the surrounding towns to enjoy nature and yet close enough to enjoy dinner and activities. The Smoky Mountain National Park was nearby with the Wards providing directions to the park through an alternate entrance point. This made for a shorter navigation/travel time and more time to see the sights of the National Park system e.g. Laurel Falls, Cades Cove and Clingman's Dome. The Wards were attentive to ensure our stay was memorable and remarkable. We truly had a wonderful experience at the "Elegant Hideaway" and would not hesitate to recommend this property to others who are looking for clean and affordable accommodations. Our thanks and appreciation to the Ward family for their gracious manner and overseeing all the details of our stay. You receive our 5 star recommendation from the initial contact, reservations, accommodations, checking in and checking out.

Date of Stay: 08/02/10 Review Submitted: 08/11/10

The Elegant Hideaway lives up to its name and description. The cabin is beautiful, and everything is clean and in great shape. We enjoyed 4 wonderful days in early August. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking and serving utensils - something that was important to us since we wanted to prepare most of our own meals. The setting is perfect - very private and quiet, yet a short drive (about 20 minutes) to all of the local attractions. We were looking forward to a quiet retreat and spent a lot of time in the cabin - the wireless internet and all the TVs and DVD players were a plus. We had a lovely early morning visit to Cades Cove - saw two bear and lots (and lots ) of deer. It was quite hot in the area during our stay, but it was very easy to stay comfortable inside (very effective AC) and the three covered decks were a plus. The mountain views were lovely - unobstructed by other cabins. We enjoyed the pool table and air hockey. The hot tub was very clean and comfortable. It was very easy to confirm the reservation and the information Don sent (directions, maps, local attractions) was very helpful. We really appreciated a chance to stay in this wonderful cabin and hope to return again in the future.

Date of Stay: 06/27/10 Review Submitted: 07/07/10

We spent a week at Elegant Hideaway, and were extremely pleased with this beautiful cabin. Everything in the description was accurate; the property was clean and well-maintained; and all amenities were in good working order. The views were spectacular, and we really loved that we were in such a peaceful, secluded place. As we drove around, we saw areas where the cabins were wall-to-wall; if you're looking to be out of the hustle and bustle of the tourist attractions, this is the location!! Working with Don was a pleasure; he was very responsive and easy to communicate with, from prior to renting, all the way through to having our deposit so quickly returned. One thing to consider, depending on your travel group: the upstairs (loft) bedroom is not private. It's spacious, comfortable and has a beautiful view, but is completely open. Not a problem for us, but may be a consideration for other groups. All beds were very comfortable, we loved that they were all king-sized. This was our first time to the Smoky Mountains, and we had many incredible experiences. Highlights: (1) Cades Cove, but get there early. We began the loop by 9AM, and saw 3 black bears!! We saw other wildlife too, but the bears were very much a highlight. (2) We did the Wahoo Ziplines, which were great! Make sure you find coupons. (3) The Alum Cave Bluff trail (we only went as far as Arch Rock, 1.3 miles) was beautiful, and easy and interesting enough to keep the kids going. We were always glad to get back to Elegant Hideaway at the end of the day, and relax in the hot-tub and enjoy the view. Thanks, Don, we will definitely recommend your property to anyone looking for a great place to stay in TN!

After a long hot day on the Bike, we were greeted with a cooled cabin, and immediately fell in love with the place. Clean and well kept. the next morning I got a sunrise pic that's on my Desktop today. We made it our Home while taking bike trips, which included The Dragon, S.M.N.Park, Maggie Valley, etc. It was nice to come back, relax, and enjoy the whole Mountain experience. A few recommendations for bikers. 1. Have daylight the first time up(new blacktop, no lines) negotiating curves. 2. The last 3/10/mile is packed limestone, no problems, just take it slow. 3.Tight turn around if you have a trailer. Had to back trailer onto cement, unhook, turn the truck around, re hookup to out. This was only a one time thing, so we were ok with it. The parking cement is approx. 20'x24'. We squeezed 4 bikes, a truck, and a 5'x10' utility trailer on it. Hope this Helps

Wonderful Place in the Smokies! Highly Recommended

We decided to stay in the mountains for the weekend this past weekend and chose Elegant Hideaway. We have stayed in over a hundred cabins and chalets in the mountains in the past ten years, as we live fairly close by. Elegant Hideway rates in the top 5 out of all of those easily. It is a beautiful cabin with a GORGEOUS view of the mountains !! Architecture is nice. The game room is great, with the hot tub right outside the game room. Our kids had a blast and we pretty much stayed put the entire weekend watching movies and just enjoying each other. I would highly recommend this to anyone planning a trip to the Smokies. We will stay here again, it was an awesome weekend !! Owners have done a great job in building and decorating this cabin, words nor pictures can adequately describe how beautiful it is. Thanks so much !!

The best cabin Getaway in the Smokey Mountains

The Elegant Hideaway is by far the nicest rental we have ever stayed in. We have made at least 6 trips to the Townsend/Pigeon Forge area and have stayed in a different rental each time. Three letters sum up our stay this year WOW! The cabin is eloquently decorated, but it also has a down home feeling as well. The most gorgeous view I have ever had the opportunity to experience. It has three different levels and each level has its own balcony with the same gorgeous view. The loft bedroom was by far my favorite; it is open to the living area, downstairs and has a catwalk across the living area to your own private balcony. There is a Jacuzzi tub in the loft bedroom, which has a picture window to view the mountain while in the loft bathroom. The game room has a full size pool table and a full size air hockey table, and on this level is my favorite amenity the HOT TUB. It is located on the lower level and what views at sunset while relaxing the day away in the hot tub. One of the biggest assets for this rental is it has three different thermostat controls and three different central units for each floor, this is a big plus being that the loft is usually the hottest in Summer and Winter, but not this location very comfortable. One last note, the owner Don and Cindy ward were so accommodating, with our reservation. We had to change the date three different times due to family illness and Don was more than happy to accommodate us. The Elegant Hideaway is a Great place to take family only 5 miles from Pigeon Forge and 12 from Gatlinburg. Thanks again Don for a wonderful memorable vacation.

Elegent Hideaway is elegant but homey. Beautifully decorated and awsome views. We stayed a week with 4 boys and did not get on each others nerves thanks to three levels. Loved the hot tub, pool table and air hockey. Reading the other reviews, I found the cabin immaculate when we arrived, which was obviously occupied the week before from the reviews, as we were there the week of Easter. We would not have known a family just left. We had no problems with the TVs, but with 4 boys they always work the electronics for me. The beds were heavenly and as we are all tall, it was wonderful to have king beds. I even asked Don and Cindy for the mattress type as we were getting ready to replace our home mattress. Directions were wonderful and we also had no problem finding it late at night. Really late as we had stopped to visit family in Oak Ridge, TN. Love the location as it is very convenient to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Great Smokies Parkway. You come into Pigeon Forge from the backside so there is no traffice until you get to the main strip. We were disappointed that road to Clingmans Dome was closed. This is a definite site to behold. Do not miss this on your trip as the road has reopened now. The boys enjoyed Magic Quest. We also went to the Biltmore in Asheville, which was a nice day trip, as it is a beautiful ride there if you don't go on I-40. If you have a GPS, be careful as I was distracted watching the curves on the screens. It was like playing a video game. :) No better pies than at Apple Valley Barn. We enjoyed cooking our own meals in the cabin, so I don't have any meal recommendations. The kitchen is not only fully stocked. It is overstocked. Plenty of dishes, bowls, glasses, silverware. Not like some other places we have stayed where there was service for six only. Don and Cindy were wonderful with providing all the info that we needed ahead of time. Called to check on us while we were there. It was a pleasure to rent from them.

We stayed at Elegant Hideaway the week before Easter for our 14th Anniversary and Spring Break with our two boys. My mom was able to meet us there and stay the first two nights with us, as well. My sister's family came in from Fort Worth during the last part of our stay and it was nice to have room for everyone! The beds and pillows were heavenly and the location was nicely secluded, but not too far out of the way. It was great to have the kids downstairs playing air hockey and pool while the adults could relax on the other two levels. The windows and view were fabulous from the top bedroom, but beware it is a bit echoy and noisy. You could hear everything since it was loft style and not very private. The couches were not the most comfortable and there were some dirty dishes with dried food in the cabinets. However, it was very convenient to be able to stock the kitchen since we were way up there on the mountain. The gameroom TV didn't work upon arrival, but the kids were able to watch a rented movie so it was fine. We weren't used to the digital TV and it was a little complicated for us but I didn't think twice about it since we had other things to do. Because the weather was just getting warm, there was also a problem with wasps and bees outside which unfortunately limited our time enjoying the balconies. The only thing I was a bit disappointed about was that we stayed 6 nights and couldn't get the 7th night free. The cabin was booked and we all had to stay at a hotel in Knoxville our last night. I felt the rate could have been a little better because of this, but overall it was worth the money! The preliminary materials Don sent prior to our arrival were very helpful! I highly recommend Calhoun's for lunch or dinner. We ate there twice and it was very family friendly with great food and not far away! We hadn't been to the Pigeon Forge area for 5 years and we hope to go back soon since my mom just moved to Knoxville last year. We saw lots of other Louisiana folks which was fun! Elegant Hideaway is very comfortable and a great destination for families!

The cabin was great except for a couple of things, the cabin was dirty, there was stuff on the couches and on the floor like it was not cleaned for the last people that stayed. The downstairs T did not work or the Direct TV would not come on, thats was the big reason for weekend was all the ball games that were on. Don with all that said you have a great place to stay and we enjoyed it and i hope we are able to stay again. Thanks

Owner response:I called the guest upon his arrival to welcome him to our cabin. He said that there was food crumbs on the kitchen counter and sofa. The guest said he thought that I needed to know, I told him that I did and I appreciated him bringing it to my attention. He said it wasn't a big deal. I had a contractor repainting doors 2 days prior to this guest's check-in on Friday. I believe that the contractor was responsible for the food crumbs in the cabin. The guest did not call me during his stay to tell me that he was having a problem with the TV in the game room. If he had called me I could troubleshoot the TV problem with him. After the guest's check-out, it was determined that the TV wasn't on the correct input to watch DirecTV.

What a wonderful time we had staying at Elegant Hideaway! We arrived on a Thursday evening to find snow on the ground. We were concerned about being able to make it up the gravel drive in our Honda Odyssey, but had no trouble at all. We had high expectations for the cabin from looking at the pictures on the VRBO website and were not dissappointed. It was very clean and tastefully decorated with beautiful new bedding in each bedroom. We loved the loft bedroom and bath. It was breathtaking to lie in bed and look out at the snow covered mountains. Our sons ages 11, 10 and 8 loved the game room and the hot tub. We had so much fun playing pool and air hockey as a family. They were never bored! Don was very helpful and easy to work with! We would love to stay in Elegant Hideaway again and highly recommend it to others!

The directions to the location were outstanding! Even though we did not arrive until after dark we had no problem finding it. The owners thought of everything. A vast library of dvds and even hot chocolate was waiting for us when we arrived. A gorgeous view from the back deck kept us watching from the huge windows that lined the living area. We awoke the next morning to snow on the ground . We did not want to leave! We enoyed the pool table and hot tub immensely. The view from the hot tub made it very special. Thanks for a great weekend Don and Cindy!

"Beyond Expectations!" "What can one say about the perfect family holiday gathering in the perfect mountain retreat? Elegant Hideaway was absolutely what we were hoping for and then some. Everything we needed was provided with so many comfortable extras to make us feel right at home. Our family loves to get away together for New Years every year with our married children and grandchildren. How wonderful it was to have the space to all have our own privacy but also the living and recreation areas to enjoy being together. The views are spectacular. It even snowed while we were there. Elegant Hideaway is a very lovely cabin. Our family spent 3 nights there. We were snowed in! The cabin had all the supplies we needed. We cooked in every day. The kitchen was very adequately stocked with pots, pans, even a mixer so we could bake a cake, and a pizza pan to make pizza on! The beds were extremely comfortable. Even though we were snowed in for a few days, we were never bored. We had a great time! And Don is extremely helpful, and easy to work with! It was a great vacation!

"Fall get-away at Elegant Hideaway" "We spent a fall break vacation at Elegant Hideaway and loved it. First, let me tell you that we have six children under the age of 12, so this review is written from that perspective. If you want a place with all the amenities, tucked away on a mountainside, this is it. Everything was exactly like it was listed, and Don was very easy to work with. It has a gorgeous view and was well maintained. The kids loved the three levels, but if you have a little one new to stairs, it could be a little difficult. I have only one word of warning, we wanted to book a place with lots of options in case the weather was bad so we chose this one. However, our kids loved the house so much that they were a little reluctant to go to the national park! If you are wanting to just relax and stay put, it would be a great place for you." "Elegant Secluded Hideaway" "My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful extended weekend in this perfect, elegent, secluded hideaway! It is everything that it advertises and more. It is located on the side of a mountain with a quiet atmosphere. There are fantastic views of the mountains from all three decks, yet close to any activity you are interested in! The owners are wonderful to work with and add a nice personal touch to your stay. I captured some beautiful scenery pictures right from the cabin decks. We will stay here again if we return to the "Smokeys."" Go to Homeaway, property 178002, click "Read Reviews", to verify this owner comment from our guest.

"Wonderful Hideaway Experience!" "Elegant Hideaway was everything and more! My daughter's 9th birthday was celebrated there and she just couldn't contain herself with her cousin with all the cabin offered! Our 89yr old grandmother went and she played her very first game of pool! She couldn't get enough of it! The location was great and private but very convenient to all attractions in the smokies. We each loved having our very own private room and bath with no sharing! The views of the mountains were spectacular especially with the sunrises and sunsets. It was just a lovely experience and would definitely love to go back and stay at this cabin. Even having to call Mr. Don about the keyless entry was pleasant. He was so nice and very helpful. He always kept in touch with me about any questions while booking this cabin. That helps with making for a wonderful stay! Thank you so much!
