My boyfriend and i had a great time staying here. Its in a great location with beautiful mountain views from one bedroom, and the sound of the ocean waves from the other. We walked to turtle cave and to queens bath on two different adventurous trails. The condo is very quiet and peaceful, minus the roosters of course that crow througout the night, but this happens everywhere on the island. We will definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed the mountain views and the location so close to many beautiful beaches. The pool was very nice and the grounds were immaculate. Not many negatives other than too much rain.

Thank you for renting this unit to us. We also enjoyed your Hale Moi unit as well. This condo is larger and was pleasantly decorated and very functional. The views of ocean and mountains was breathtaking, the sounds of the ocean and birds was lovely. Being an end unit and upstairs assured a feeling of privacy and quiet. There is beauty all around! We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood almost every day. The pool and jacuzzi were nice but the many beaches were even better. We enjoyed Hanalei, Tunnels, Ke'e, Anini, and Poipu in the south the best. We climbed the hills behind Hanalei and look forward to the ones we haven't done. We enjoyed going to Hanalei Village with Hanalei Coffee Roasters (formerly Java Kai-same owner) for morning coffee, Strings and Things for a ukelele and yarn for knitting, the Saturday Farmers Market and Sunday Hanalei River Fair (music, arts and crafts and food) and other local events. There is something for everyone.

We so enjoyed Kathy's condo in beautiful Princeville. It was attractively furnished and very comfortable to come home to after a day of sightseeing. The lanai was very nice to sit out on and see the ocean. The other side of the condo featured a gorgeous view of the mountains. If it was clear you could see the waterfalls on the mountains. Having 2 nice bedrooms and 2 separate bathrooms was very convenient. Hearing the ocean at night from one of the bedrooms was very soothing, and the beds were quite comfortable. A short walk from the condo brought you to a grassy area near a cliff where we watched the humpback whales for hours. We also enjoyed the nice pool. A nearby grocery store in Princeville was fine for our needs. Kathy was very helpful and responsive to our questions. We would definitely come back to this condo on another trip to Kauai

We rented this condo for my son and his new wife for their honeymoon, and they came back with reports that the place was absolutely fantastic. They only had good things to say. We had contact with Kathy a few times before the kids went to make arrangements, and she was very prompt in responding and very professional. We were so pleased. One of these days we're going to plan a trip to Kauai, and this is the first place we'll check for accommodations!!

The north shore of Kauai is one of the most beautiful places on earth! The condo was very comfortable and peaceful. The views of the mountains from the dinning room and master bedroom were amazing. The complex also has a nice pool. Kathy was very helpful and easy to work with. We hope to return again soon!

My family and I stayed at the Alii Kai condo in early July. We were very satisfied with our visit there. The accommodations were nice and clean and had just about everything we needed. We were blessed with a cloudless day on the second day of our visit. The surrounding view of the lush, green mountains and waterfall was exceptional. We enjoyed visiting the Queen's Bath just minutes away. Our favorite outing was a hike at the end of the road. The trail head began at Ke'e Beach. We have never seen such a beautiful place in all of our lives. We definitely want to go back to Kauai and would like to stay at this condo again.

Hello. We've stayed here for 6 nights in April '11 and I was awesome. The condo description is accurate in the add and the pictures are not misleading. The property is very clean and well maintained and the owner was very responsive to all our inquires. We had 2 separate baths (one of them is in the master bedroom), so anyone looking for extra privacy would be more than satisfied. The gas grill by the pool was very decent and yields some solid steaks. We used it every night. The view from the kitchen and from the master bedroom is truly impressive, you don't wake up every day to see green covered mountains and a +400ft waterfall. This Princeville location is really nice and I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone looking for a great vacation. Thanks Kathy for a great time!!!

The wife and I and mother-in-law recently spent 9 wonderful nights in your condo. We were mesmerized by the experience. Every angle out the windows or on the lanau breathed tropical paradise. Blue ocean in the front, mountain waterfalls out the back, captivating to say the least. All of our needs were met right down to the buggy boards and beach chairs. After all of the enjoyment of the day the comfortable beds ended perfect days. A very short drive got us to hanalei bay wher we watched giant sea turtles swim by the end of the pier that looks out to the islands that inspired "Puff" the magic dragon. A short distance away we visited the "tunnels' beach" We were glad to have a small digital video recorder because there was more photo ops can we could count. There was the ocassional shower that pass by as we sat in scenic restaurants enjoying cocktails. I could write a book. We would definitley recommend this condo to anyone that wishes to see the real Hawaii. The location in Princeville is centrally located to dining shopping and all sorts of outdoor activities. Thanks Kathy for sharing this experience with us!
Owner response:I'm so happy that you were able to enjoy Kauai and my condo. Hope to see you next year! Kathy

We spent 2 wonderful weeks at this beautiful condo in Princeville. The location and facilities were amazing. It was so much more private than we expected - mountains and a beautiful valley directly behind us and the wonderful ocean views to the front. It was quiet and relaxing. We had all the windows and sliding glass doors open to the ocean sounds day and night while at our rented 'condo' home. The ocean sounds lulled us to sleep each night. We spent many days at Hanalea Bay walking the beach and visiting the local sites too. The grocery store was so easy to get to as well. Thanks to Kathy for sharing her wonderful condo in Kauai! We hope to be able to use it again real soon.

We couldn't have been more pleased when we got to Kauai and saw the beautiful setting of this wonderful condo. It was very comfortable and accommodating and CLEAN! Everything we needed was right there for us. The owner was especially pleasant to work with and was very prompt with responses to all our questions. I am SO happy that this is where we ended up staying. We are already talking about the next time we go to Kauai and will definitely schedule it around staying here!

My girlfriend and I spent 5 days in this wondeful condo and were very sad to leave. The views are amazing. From the master bedroom shower, you can see waterfalls flowing down the mountains, especially in the morning after the rain. The front lanai had a very relaxing view of the ocean (between some other condos) and was a great place to sit and have drinks in the evening. The interior of the condo was very clean and we had no complaints. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Kauai. The condo is large for the price as well, and I felt it was well worth the money. The owners are very helpful and nice as well.

My husband and I very much appreciated the stay at this quite located condo. The place is tasteful designed, the kitchen is very well equiped, we appreciated a good quality mattress for seven nights and enjoyed the different views out of the plenty of windows. A grocery store is not far away in Princeville which has a great sortiment and fresh made sushi.

We really enjoyed our 8 night stay at this Alii Kai condo. The condo itself is very nicely furnished with very comfortable beds and very well equiped kitchen. It is airy with plenty of space. The north shore of Kauai is very quaint and less touristy than the south. We really enjoyed the nearby town of Hanalei with its wonderful restaurants and boutiques. However if you are interestd in black pearls look around at prices since they tend to be more expensive in those boutiques. Our favorite beaches were Hanalei beach and the Tunnels beach. Kauai itself is quite amazing. We spent the first week in Honolulu/Waikiki but we really felt the Hawaiian magic on Kauai. We did drive around quite a bit and have visited the southern and western beaches and sites as well. If you go to Poipu don't miss the Beach House restaurant at sunset. And do take the drive up to Waimea Canyon. The views of Napali Coast are breath taking. Make sure that you go all the way up to the last lookout.

The condo was fantastic, very clean and comfortable. It has everything you need inside - kitchen, washer/dryer, and they even stock the fridge with ice for you. Kathy is willing to answer any questions you have, and is flexible with the times when she can be.Very accommodating! The condo truly has beautiful views, on a clear day, my husband and I could see 7 waterfalls on the mountains from the bedroom and bathroom window. The view from the lanai is spectacular, the only change we would have made is that it was too rainy in Princeville. We just traveled south and found the sun pretty quickly. Definitely recommended!

My husband and I and our two teenage daughters spent a week at this awesome property in Jan 2010. We loved staying at the north shore... So beautiful. The condo was clean, cozy and stocked with everything we needed for cooking, linens etc.. The 2 bedrooms with attached baths made for great privacy for all of us. We actually saw a whale while sitting on the balcony one evening. Kathy was awesome to work with very helpful and I was surprised at how quickly we got our deposit refunded. I would definately recommend this property and we plan to stay there again in the future. Hanalei beach was beautiful and only 10 minutes from the condo. We also wandered over to the St Regis one morning and had breakfast at the outside restaurant over-looking the ocean. We highly recommend this. We have been to Hawaii a number of times. This was our first time to Kaua'i which is now our most our favorite island. FYI Buy your groceries and any alcohol in Lihu'e. There is a Walmart not far from the airport. The FoodTown in Princeville is outageously expensive. Most things were one, two even three dollars cheaper per item at Walmart.

Our 5 nights at Ali'i Kai left us wanting more. The lush and beautiful mountain views on one side and the ocean views on the other side are breathtaking. From the lanai on the ocean side we spotted a whale. Doves visited the lanai each day. We awoke to melodious bird songs coming from the nearby hillside through the open windows. The tasteful furnishings are modern and upscale, and the condo was well equipped with anything we could imagine or need. Kathy, the owner, was available by email or phone to answer any question and to ensure our satisfaction with her home. There are several great beaches nearby for snorkeling or just relaxing. We rode horses at the sprawling Princeville Ranch which offered gorgeous views of the island and the sea. The Princeville Shopping Village is just a couple of minutes away, and the shops and restaurants in Hanalei are only about 5 min. away. We have previously stayed on both the South and East coasts, and find the peacefulness and beauty of the North coast to be the most relaxing and refreshing. If you need to escape the hustle and bustle of the real world, Ali'i Kai in Princeville is the place to come. I honestly did not want to leave.

We really enjoyed this Condo - The quality of the unit itself is terrific, with partial views of the Ocean and fantastic views of the mountains. The neighbors are friendly, and the development itself was top notch - some nearby developments were okay, this was one of the better ones. The condo has everything you need, and we were impressed with the surrounding area.

We loved the condo. It truely was a home away from home for us. It is a very very nice two bedroom two bath condo with a sleeper sofa if you have extras in your group. The view is fantastic! It is a tropical paradise. This condo is in Princeville which is the North shore of the Island very quiet and peaceful. It is about a 30 minute drive to the city of Lihue which you will no doubt drive to and through several times. But don't let that hold you back. It is worth the drive and really it is only 30 minutes because the speed limits are low on this Island and most everyone obeys them. So if you are a city person, like me, just relax and get used to it and enjoy the scenery while you drive (do keep your eyes on the road though). We would definitely stay here again. There was only one dissappointment for us. If there is a beach near this condo as shown we could not find it. And if you do find it you will have to walk or hike to it. Again, unless you are just wanting to stay on the beach don't let that hold you back. There are more than enough beaches, remember it is an island! We had a great time. It was our 30th anniversary and I surprised my wife with it ( a honeymoon indeed for us). Also, Kathy is very helpful if you want to call her do not hesitate. I called her several times before booking since I had never done anything like this before. Do it! Book it! You will love it. Also, there is a excellent guidebook that you need to get even before you go. It will help you become very familiar with the island and it is worth it. Someone told us about it on the plane and we went staight to walmart and found it ($16). Kauai Guidebook 7th edition by Andrew Daughtrey ( I think I got the last name right. You can call me if you have questions as well. Wil

My wife and I stayed for a week in Princeville with my wife's parents and a friend of theirs. Kauai is a remarkable island and we felt that the area around Hanalei (just a mile or so west of Princeville) was the ideal location. The town of Hanalei is charming and has a real sense of community. The Na Pali coast trail is just a few miles away and shouldn't be missed. There were scores of whales visible from the cliff just 100 yards from the condo and just a mile or so away was the Anini beach--an extraordinary swimming/snorkeling beach. If you go to the islands it would be a shame to miss Kauai. The condo had room for all five of us and would have accomodated 6 just fine. Reasonably priced too. We were very pleased.

We very much enjoyed our stay here in the comfortable 2 bedroom upper floor condo in the quiet residential area of Princeville. The location was great, being close (5-10 min. drive)to the picturesque area of Hanelai, the northshore beaches, and the Napali coast (20-30min drive)and a car is essential for exploring or going out for dinner. The condo was well equipped, comfortable for a family of 4 and appropriately decorated with Hawaiian style furnishings and decor. We would recommend this condo for people who seek a home away from home for an unforgettable visit.

The first thing you notice about this condo is it's great location. Princeville is away from the noise and traffic and more peaceful. The condo itself is "upscale" in furnishings yet retains a very homey feel. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and we enjoyed the scenery and birds from the lanai with our morning coffee. There are many beaches nearbye and paved walkways throughout Princeville. We used the condo BBQ several times and the pool too. We highly recommend this condo. Kathy was a pleasure to work with too!

The condo was very nicely furnished with all the necessary supplies and equipment. The only things I would add would be more comfortable chairs for the lanai. The high stools do not lend themselves to relaxing. Even a pair of white plastic chairs would have helped. Also, a couple beach chairs and maybe an umbrella would have been nice. I would definitely return again

Welcome to our new condo. We love Princeville and fell in love with Ali'i Kai when we saw this condo for sale. It has never been a vacation rental before. The owners made it a beautiful home with wood floors, slate Lanai, teak furniture and many more extras. Then there are the views! I saw whales breeching from the living room then turned to look at the dining room and saw a water fall on the mountains! Truely Heaven on earth! We are happy to be able to share our vacation home with you and know that you are going to love it too.
