  Staying in Joe's condo in Kaanapali Royal is as close as you can get to being in paradise. The view is spectacular and he has upgraded the entire apartment. The furnishings, appliances and bathrooms are beautiful and give you the feeling you are in a luxury resort--but with the convenience of being in a condo where you can spread out and enjoy eating some meals on the lanai. The unit is extremely spacious and is very conveniently located a short walk from Whaler's Village and the beach. Joe was wonderful to work with and was anxious to make sure that we had everything we needed for our stay. There were even more amenities than promised in the description. I would definitely recommend this apartment to everyone. We have already booked our stay for next year and are looking forward to going back. We love Merrimann's, Mama's Fish House, Roy's, Hula Grill, and getting fresh fish from the Fish House to cook on the lanai. Maui has wonderful restaurants and activities for everyone.

  This was by far the best condo experience we have had over the years. The photos do not do this place justice. The condo was immaculate - Joe was even there when we arrived making sure everything was in pristine condition. We had family staying at the same complex in another unit and let me tell you - the work Joe has done to upgrade the unit is amazing! The pool area was very nice and never crowded. We liked that everything was within walking distance including the beach, shopping and restaurants. Our son was happy that netflix was available on the rainy days! Our favorite activity was the Old Lahaina Luau - highly recommend making this part of any trip to Maui. Our only regret is we could not stay longer and did not have a chance to golf - but we plan on coming back to Maui at some point and will definitely look to book this condo again.

  When I first inquired about this condo, I must admit, I was kind of nervous to book it, as this was my first time renting online, but Joe made my nervousness go away! From our very first conversation, Joe was beyond helpful, informative, and returned my emails/calls very quickly. The condo was gorgeous, even more so than the pictures, it was clean and exactly as described! The fact we could walk to Whalers Village and down to the beach was a plus, we didn't even have to rent a car!

  Our stay over Christmas Break and New Years was perfect! Lovely condo, clean, tasteful and modern decor, beautiful kitchen to prepare meals in. The kitchen was well stocked with useful items, and as amatuer chef, my husband and I cooked up a variety of wonderful meals, with little trouble. Loved having the bar-b-q on the deck area: very convenient! As our first international family trip with our 3 teen boys, it was great having a second bathroom, having cable and Net Flix, as we would retreat back to the condo to settle and relax after snorkling in the adjacent beaches. (Next time we will know to pack some board games, as watching AFV every evening became a little much). We had not thought that there would be any ammenities stocked in the condo: yet there was a cooler, some beach chairs, some snorkling equipment. Had we thought to ask the owner, we may have not brought our own, to lightened our suitcases. So if you are not a bonified snorkler and want to just try it out - you may want to just use what is in the closet. Lots of great travel information on site in the condo, secure parking was wonderful, and the Security Guard on site was very helpful. The only thing that was a teeny bit of a downer, was all the rules at the pool. This complex is not designed to host teens at the pool. "No playing Marco Polo!!!" Not joking that was one of the rules! It is definitely meant for a quieter more relaxed group of vacationers. No worries we had some friends at another nearby resort who had a pool that readily accepted lots of play in and on their deck. I think we laughed more about the rules, then we were upset by them. Mainly because we had the alternate option of visiting our friends. Being right on the golf course, rogue balls are a hazard, and one of our pool days, a ball came zipping in. One of the other guests was pretty perturbed, however, that is a caution and the resort has a giant net screen up to save the pool from the majority of these hazards! :) All in all, seeing what other resorts were like - this would be our first choice to go back to. We are already thinking of doing this again!!!

  My family has been enjoying Maui for over 30 years. We love Kaanapali with its beautiful beach, black rock snorkeling, sea turtles, spotted eagle rays, gorgeous sunsets, long walks around the golf course and along the beach. Just a short drive north of Kaanapali are some of the best snorkeling spots on the island including Honolua Bay. This condo is perfect for 4 to 6 people, plenty of space, and very upscaled. While we didn't use it too much but the large screen HD tv, DVR, Netflix, WiFi, huge lani w large BBQ, and lounge chairs made the condo a great place to relax and get ready for another day of adventures. The location is perfect for a family who wants to save some money but still be in the heart of Kaanapali. Just a short walk across a beautiful golf course and you are at Whaler's village and the beach. And if you are fortunate to be able to stay for three weeks you even get a better deal! There is so much to do on this island - from drives around the island (yes both the north and south ends are easily driven with just a standard rental), blow holes and the best banana bread on the north end to the scared seven pools and waterfall hikes on the south east side (Hana and beyond), to the top of Haleakala, and the trails behind the Iao Needle. For those who love to cook there was plenty of the standard kitchen equipment to whip up the best meals while also providing a microwave for those less capable in the kitchen! This is a great location and a wonderful condo, you will not be disappointed. The owners were great and we loved our vacation - we will be back!

  If you are looking for a beautiful accomodation with all the amenities of home. This is the place. Located close to beach, shopping and restaurants. The condo is beautifully furnished overlooking the golf course with lovely sunset views. Short walk to beach. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend.

  We have been coming to Maui annually for the past five years and this rental was the best in quality, value and location. The short 8 minute walk to all of the activities at Kaanapali Beach was so convenient. Leilani's fish tacos, snorkeling at Black Rock and exploring the beautiful beaches kept us busy. The owner was very responsive to our questions. The unit was newly remodeled with high grade materials. The kitchen was huge which made cooking in and dining on the lanai and enjoying the sunsets a treat. The unit was even better than described. Any renter would be very impressed with this property.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. To start off: Joe Bock, the owner of this unit, is very accommodating and responsive. We called Joe for direction to the complex, and when we arrived, Joe was there to greet us, show us the place, and patiently answer all of our questions. As far as the unit itself, I would say the photos don't do it enough justice. Two things that immediately stood out for us are: 1) how spacious it is, and 2) how clean it is. We only had three people and so had ample space. It is up-to-date with all the modern amenities; everything from kitchen appliances, cabinetry, flooring, and electronics. Mostly importantly, everything works. The walls are also tastefully decorated with Hawaiian artwork. From what I could tell, Joe really equipped this place with above-average appliances, furniture, and materials as though he would be living in it. We loved eating breakfast every morning in the HUGE lanai overlooking the golf course. We did not look at other units in the complex but L-202 has to rank at or near the top. This unit is also reasonably priced, which obviously was a big factor in our selection process. I would say for the Kaanapali area within walking distance of Whaler Village, and if being ocean-front is not the most important criteria, then this unit should definitely be on one's short list.
