  Lynne, Thank you so much for allowing our family to be together for the celebration of my mothers life. It was wonderful to be able to have the whole family together to remember all the good times. It would not have been the same if we had been seperated in various hotels. The view is AWESOME! and the home was so beautiful and comfortable.

  Dear Lynne, We want to thank you for allowing us to celebrate our family reunion in your beautiful home. Many of us enjoyed the room and comfort. I especially was grateful to you for providing me a bedroom with the necessary handicapped facilities on the first floor. Grandma Ada (She isn't really my grandmother, but I am honored that she thinks of me that way after staying in our home)

  Dear Lynne, No words can thank you enough for making us so welcomed on Friday when you greeted and welcomed us to your beautiful home. The home was so spacious and all our needs were provided for. We wish you God's best as you share your home with others. The view is so beautiful here. You have truly made your house into a welcoming home. Thanks so much.   Home was beautiful, well apportioned and clean. Loved the no smoking / no pets given family allergies and cooking was very easy with some of the provided spices / basic ingredients. Awesome. Only issue was the jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom was not working. Also, the house is very close to most attractions including Rushmore, more "touristy" Rapid City stuff like the Reptile Garden, Caves, etc., and national parks. This turned out to be a perfect location to stay for a family vacation. Main drawbacks are: 1) This is not a private house... it's more of a duplex setup where the owners seem to move out of their house for your week, then live in and operate a business out of the other half. Strange that this is not mentioned in the listing. This meant that other people were coming and going at different hours (midnight one night) using the same driveway and third garage. It probably also means they'll be attentive if you have an issue - we didn't. 2) This also led to a significant (very significant) number of family photos, religious sayings, decor all over the house. I would say this is very different from the more "vanilla" expectation of a rental home. We had the feeling that we were staying in someone's home while they were away. Again, strange that this was not mentioned in the listing and also if we were not Christian I wonder how we would have felt about the extreme religious overtone of the home. So, overall good, but not excellent given the above drawbacks.

  Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing.

  Owner response: It was the previous owner's who lived in the house. We don't live in the house. There are new photos posted of the house. We have done some painting and put in 1 new queen and 5 new king beds!

  God is so good! After three weeks in your blessed home, we walk away with our precious little baby girl. We will never forget our time here in Rapid City. Thank you for the sweet fellowship. Come visit us in Texas!

  Home was beautiful, well furnished, clean and with all amneties you need. Owners are very nice, friendly and took care of our needs. We highly recommend this rental for anyone visiting rapid city/mount rushmore/black hill area.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

  Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful home for Grandpa's 90th birthday weekend. We felt very comfortable from the very minute we walked in the door for the first time. Your handicap accomodations were perfect for our youngest daughter.

  We are six former/retired Air Force couples who gather every two years. We loved your home, warm and family-filled. It was such a nice place to relax after our site-seeing. We enjoyed all the wild life. We cooked some meals and loved the kitchen!

  What a wonderful week we have had here at your castle in the hills. It's not often that we find accomodations for 12 people with lots of room to spare. We saw so many of the close-by attractions and it was always a blessing to come back to such a resort with quiet nature surroundings. The central location of your home made all the day journies possible. Hopefully, we'll be back and you can bet we will refer your home to our friends!

  Your home is simply the best location and greatest home in the Black Hills. The birds, chipmunks, and we musicians all had a wonderful time. This was a rehearsal working weekend and in these relaxing environs, we were able to accomplish alot with not much stress.

  Every room in this place shows what a firmly rooted family you are. We loved being so close to all the attractions we wanted to visit. The home is relaxing and comfortable and played an important role in our whole vacation.
