The W4 Ranch is a wonderful, 4860 square foot, timber-framed home, professionally decorated with a warm, rustic elegance that reflects the rugged, but comfortable, western luxury of its surroundings. Located in Jackson Hole within the charming town of Wilson, it is 7 minutes close to the town of Jackson, Teton Village/Jackson Hole Ski Resort, and Grand Teton National Park. It is nestled on 7.5 acres that include scenic open space, a private 2 acre pond, manicured lawns, and views that seem to go on forever.
Upon arriving at the home, you and your family will enter into the great room – this room truly functions as the heart of the home. The room is highlighted by 30 foot vaulted ceilings, a 20 foot natural stone fireplace and huge windows that look out to the beautiful pond and beyond to the Gros Ventre mountain range. Despite it’s grand scale, the room feels warm and is furnished with large overstuffed couches and chairs to facilitate group gatherings. This room also has a 40” flat panel TV, DVD/CD player, surround sound and satellite music that can be piped throughout the house and out onto the patio.
Off of the great room, the kitchen is built with the gourmet in mind. It is equipped with slab limestone and soapstone countertops, a 6 burner Viking stove and oven, built-in refrigerator, sink and dishwasher. The kitchen island seats 4 and has a handy prep sink. There is also a butler’s pantry that has an extra sink and dishwasher for your larger gatherings or catered events. Adjacent to the kitchen and great room is the dining room table with seating for 10, the perfect setting for your special meals.
Also downstairs is the junior suite. It is furnished with a king size bed, sitting chair and desk, flat panel TV and has it’s own veranda looking out over the Gros Ventre mountain range. The bathroom has a beautiful natural stone steam shower and spacious vanity area.
Also downstairs is a working office that is decorated in an elegant “Old World” style with antique desk, leather couch and Oriental rug. But despite it old world feel, it is equipped with all of the modern conveniences including desktop computer, high speed internet cable and WI-FI, phone and a fax/scanner/ printer.
The master suite is situated upstairs and has a beautiful eastern exposure that can be witness through the glass door that leads to it’s own private balcony. It is furnished with a large king sized four poster bed, antique side tables and an elegant sitting couch. Off the master is the spacious master bathroom with heated floor, large soaking tub, glass shower and his and her vanity areas. There is also a spacious walk-in closet.
Off the master is a library area furnished with comfortable chairs and couches ready for reading and relaxing. There is also a king-sized sofa bed that can be used for any extra guest that may visit.
Beyond the library is a lovely loft area that has been furnished with a queen sized bed and sitting area. It is light and bright and has a beautiful view of the Grand Teton National forest from its built-in window seat.
And what mountain retreat would be complete without a kids bunk room. Ours has been decorated in a Western Ralph Lauren style and has 2 sets of bunk beds and one trundle bed. This room also has its own balcony and beautiful views of the “Sleeping Indian” mountain range and the tips of the Tetons. Its bathroom has double sinks, a shower and a bathtub.
Each bedroom in the house has cozy down comforters, designer linens, and throughout the house there are heated floors for added comfort.
When you are ready to head outside you will find the patio inviting with teak wood patio furniture and dining table, and gas BBQ all ready for enjoying Wyoming’s long summer nights. Beyond the patio is a large 2 acre pond for swimming and fishing and an expansive lawn area perfect for badminton, soccer or whatever other games you and your family dream up. And when you’re really ready to wind down you can enjoy the private, 8 person hot tub while soaking up the beautiful views that surround you.
For truly functional purposes there is a mudroom with 4 alcoves for easy storage of any gear that you may bring along for your vacation. There is also a large, heated 2 car garage.
