Every season is magical at Deer Creek Ranch. In the winter, it's a cozy and serene place to steal away to. The surrounding trees create a dramatic, silver backdrop of branches and the lush rolling hills are spectacular. In the spring and summer, the weather is warm and the hiking, boating, and biking activities are endless. Year-round, Deer Creek Ranch is the ultimate escape - whether you choose to explore the surrounding national reserve or opt to never leave the house!
The large Living Room and Library each feature separate fireplaces and the Chef's Kitchen is outfitted in luxury stainless Bulthaup details, with double ovens, 6 gas burners, indoor grill, and large prep island with additional sink. The Living and Dining areas feature steel-framed 25' high windows and ceiling, with soaring vistas. The home has polished concrete floors with radiant heat, vertical grain Douglas Fir cabinets and millwork, old growth redwood and custom tile throughout. This is our weekend home, and is not outfitted as a rental. All the furnishings are new and well-appointed to make any guest feel at home and relaxed.
The three bedrooms include a Guest Bedroom with a King bed and a Kid's Bedroom with a Twin and Full Bunk. The shared Bath has two separate sinks and vanities, and a deep soaking tub and large shower. The Master Bedroom is very large with a King bed, flat screen TV, reading area, and private entrance to outdoor decks. The Master Bath features double sinks in an expansive vanity and a double shower with a two-person soaking tub. The Media Room is complete with comfy sofas for group screenings and has a 92" projection screen with DirecTV and DVD. This room can also serve as a fourth bedroom, with two Twin convertibles.
The home is surrounded with large decks and poolside patios that give outdoor entertaining a beautiful setting. It includes a large teak outdoor dining table that seats ten, as well as cushy lounge chairs on all decks to take in the gorgeous views, and a gas grill. With easy access to the Pool and Spa, a full Bath with Steam Room sits off one of the decks. The Pool is saline treated, not chlorinated, for a more refreshing feel.
Enjoy the dramatic sunset from the warmth of the Spa in between languid strokes in the 75' Lap Pool. Unwind to the sights of hawks overhead and the sounds of the gurgling creek, and you'll feel like you are in your own private resort. Hike or horseback ride the scenic trails of Point Reyes National Seashore, or enjoy sailing and kayaking on Tomales Bay. If you and your guests appreciate design, setting and amenities a cut above the standard vacation rental property, you will not be disappointed!

I had the most wonderful birthday weekend in this house. We enjoyed the classy decor inside and the beautiful nature surrounding the house outside. The salt water hot tub was a plus and the glass walls in the living room allowed us to sun bathe inside when it was too windy outside. Perfect for a family and/or couples. An added bonus is the close proximity to the adorable town of Point Reyes Station.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

WOW! What a perfect house for a relaxing getaway with friends. This house lets you experience the amazing natural beauty of the Northern California Coast (even if you don't step outside) with a luxurious comfortable accommodations. You feel like you are in the middle of a nature preserve, but yet you can walk into the town of Point Reyes Station for great food and a taste of civilization. We saw deer, bobcat, and several species of birds. And, don't let the highly designed (gorgeous) interior fool you - it is cozy and comfortable. Light and airy in the sunny daytime; Cozy and warm with a crackling fire in the cool evenings; and radiant floor heat to greet your toes in the mornings. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub - a perfect spot to gaze at the star-filled sky. Our finicky group voted to come back to this house next year for our annual girls getaway. We've never returned to the same place twice -- that is the best rating one could hope for!

I don't know if any words can describe just how amazing this property truly is. I will try and do the property and it's owners justice. I never wanted to leave! This home is heaven! The property is beautiful and totally private. Take the softest, finest cashmere throw and wrap it around you and that is how this home makes you feel. The perfect aesthectic.....stunning yet so comfortable. The kitchen is a gourmets dream. They have provided everything you could possible need to make any type of meal. So, I just loved the kitchen with it's state of the art appliances and my husband just loved the high end cappucino/coffee/expresso machine and I loved cooking and trying all the locally grown vegetables, fresh oysters from Tomales Bay, Sarah Hens from her chicken coop still warm from just being layed. Beautiful home, great small sustainable grocery stores to buy fresh, fresh ingredients from...THE BEST! Moving on from the kitchen, my husband will attest to loving the media room and playing his X-Box, WII and all the other technology stuff I know nothing about, but really made him happy. I just thought it was the a cozy room with a great system to watch Indochine and snuggle and when he wanted to play his games at high volume, I'd shut the door and the rest of the house was all mine and I'd have my peace. Moving to the outdoors...The lap pool is 75' and perfect for swimming or dipping or if one feels really inspired (I did not) to do some laps. Huge lounge chairs on the decks, plenty of room for 2 to read in the sun, nap in the sun or do whatever in the sun. There is a family of deer that visit frequently on the property and some foxes that like to nap on the lower deck. I made it my mission to make them trust me and want to hang around. However, if one is not so into it, a "go away please" will get them to scurry away. In the evening the jacuzzi with the waterfall cascading down into the pool and the light dancing on the pool and the star gazing. Heaven again! I felt like a was the luckiest girl in the world, even if it was only for 2 weeks. I can honestly say, the pictures of this home are an understatement! This home and location is heaven on earth and I will always consider this my favorite holiday and this house even if for just a short time did really feel like my home.

This was the most amazing wonderful home and we had a great trip. No design or aesthetic detail was overlooked in this beautiful house. We especially enjoyed the lap pool, scenic views, indoor and outdoor sound system, and top of the line kitchen. We were fortunate enough to spend 3 days in this incredible home filled with only the finest amenities and features including state of the art kitchen, lap pool & jacuzzi, luxurious linens. Though the home is impeccably designed and decorated it is exceptionally cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed a warm evening on the deck as well as the indoor fireplace when it cooled off a bit outside. You will never want to leave the house but if you do, it is only a short stroll into the charming town of Pt Reyes Station which has much to offer by way of charm, great local food and a brand new playground for kids. The house is set on a hill with amazing views of the surrounding hills. Our days were filled with activities throughout the Pt. Reyes and Stinson Beach areas. There was great hiking at Bear Valley and the beautiful sandy beach at Stinson. There are many more places to visit throughout the Pt Reyes National Seashore which we will explore on our next visit.

This house exceeded all our expectations! It is very private and peaceful when you are there yet it is a short walk to town. It has every amenity you could need and more. The kitchen has every top of the line appliance and gadget to prepare great meals. Beds and linens are luxurious. The sound system (speakers inside and out) is fantastic. The binder filled with Pt. Reyes information, maps, restaurant menus,etc. was very useful. It is a stunning home (even better than the pictures). Great for families, entertaining, relaxing, exploring. Great restaurants in town and don't miss the Farmer's Market. Beautiful beaches nearby. We can't wait to go back!

The all glass house was such a beautiful surprise for our family getaway. ..the quintessential modern masterpiece. We were worlds away from our more traditional homes and our own community which is really just down the road. We felt as if we were in an Architectural Digest story. The deer walked right past the windows. The birds were singing us awake in the mornings. The kitchen and the bathrooms and bedrooms were equipped with the best accessories and finest linens. We could not have asked for more.

This property is absolutely top-notch. We enjoyed a wonderful weekend in April here. The location is gorgeous and the amenities are flawless. The house is great for entertaining as well as relaxing. The beds and linens are divine. The built-in sound system is top of the line. We had everything we needed for a perfect weekend. Our dinner party guests and their children had a great time. We enjoyed relaxing with the deer and stars. We'll definitely be back!
