We loved staying at the condo this past weekend. It was the perfect setting for a nice and relaxing weekend. Dinner at Blackwater Cafe was great. Had a great morning of fishing with Capt Danny Dudley. Will definitely go back!

We really enjoyed your condo for a quiet weekend getaway without the kids. It is absolutely beautiful inside! We loved your decor - everything was really clean and had everything we would need for the weekend! We loved sitting out on the balcony watching the sunset, and the pool was awesome! We could have paid more for a hotel room with none of the comforts of home - this was WAY better! I wish there was a swimming dock or something, but we drove to the state park and it was great. Thanks for sharing your condo with us! We would love to come back and bring the boat!

It is really nice at the State Park....I have some amazing shots of the beach covered in ice in the winter. The summer is awesome, but it is simply beautiful and peaceful at the lake in the winter. Very nice place to stay. We arrived on Friday 06/24/2011 and foundt the pool was closed from a storm they had earlier in the week. The only info we could get from the security people was that it might be open on Sat, no promises. Disappointed us. Spent Sat. at state park, very nice, clean great place to enjoy the water. Iron leaked water very bad, should be replaced. Overall had a pretty good time, just never long enough. Thanks Terri for a very well kept condo.

It is great to have such wonderful couples that return year after year to celebrate special occasions at our condo. Really sorry about the pool not being open when you arrived. I guess it is pretty hard to argue with Mother Nature :) I agree about the State Park, we love to go there. And, other than the great swimming in the lake and the picnic areas, we find it fun to hike the trails through the woods and along the shore line. In reference to the iron.....it is brand new. I don't believe it has ever been used, so I don't think it needs replacing. I find that if you don't let the iron get completely hot before using it and the water is filled to the full mark.....it will leak. Once it is hot enough and starts steaming, that doesn't happen anymore. Just a trick I found from using my own iron. We hope you will be back again. Thank you for always thinking of your condo as a place to spend your special occasions. Brian and Terri

Wonderful Anniversary

My wife and I stayed at the condo for two nights in June of 2011. It was a fantastic experience. The condo is fully stocked and well loved. The water pressure in the shower is as incredible as advertised. The view from the balcony over the lake is spectacular. The pool is enormous and the water was warm. The grill area is convenient and we enjoyed a number of meals there. There is a nice dock and my wife swam off the dock in the lake and we sat in chairs on the dock and enjoyed the serenity. All in all it was a wonderful, peaceful vacation. The condo was well-appointed, the living room was calming, and the bed was very comfortable. Our only complaint was the loud country music radio station that was played whenever we were poolside. It definitely clashed with the peaceful setting. All in all, we have a great time and highly recommend this condo.

Great getaway retreat with beautiful lake view

This condo has become our favorite Smith Mountain Lake getaway retreat. We've been here three times and it's perfect for a couple for those long weekends at the lake. The view of the lake is indeed stunning both in the morning and evening. The location is great for short drives to our favorite restraurants and Smith Mountain Lake Community Park. We're looking forward to returning in the fall.

Great view and great fishing

We came to the lake to relax and go fishing on the lake for some striper bass. We hired a guide who picked us up at the dock. By 9 am, we had ten in the boat. Either way, if you are seeking a clean and comfortable place to relax then you will be happy to stay at this nicely appointed place. I certainly will be back. Thank you for making your home available.

Labor Day Weekend Retreat

My wife and I celebrated our 29th year of blessed marriage this past Labor Day Weekend at the Cozy Lake Retreat and truly enjoyed our 4 day stay. The condo was adequately equipped and great value compared to other facilities considering this is our fourth weekend mini-vacation at Smith Mountain Lake at four different condos. The balcony view overlooking the cove with minimal boat traffic, docks, and pool area were most enjoyable and super relaxing. We cooked steaks on the gas grill in the pavillion and also did some light cooking in the cozy kitchen and found sufficient pots, pans and utensils. As stated elsewhere the king bed is very comfortable, the couch was great for lounging, and the water pressure in the shower was very good. The property was accurately described and there were no dissappointing surprises. The photos are good but the actual view is even better. Everything was maintained and in good working condition and the condo was very clean. I can certainly recommend this location to others -- I am sure you will find the accommodations very comfortable and very pleasing. We had our boat with us and spent some time on the water each day -- lots of water and it is easy to become disoriented -- it is wise to take a map on the lake. We also enjoyed meals at The Blackwater Cafe and Its a Small Plate -- both were enjoyable dining experiences. The Blackwater Cafe plates were plentiful and tastefully prepared; the Its a Small Plate was more gourmet style with more quality and less quantity but very enjoyable. I knew that I could contact the condo owner at anytime by phone if needed but that was not necessary -- all went very smoothly.

Relaxing and Beautiful!!!

We stayed here for our 25th anniversary trip in mid-August. We had a WONDERFUL time...very peaceful and relaxing! The bed was comfy, the pillows AWESOME (we're trying to find some just like them!) and the water pressure in the shower is UNBELIEVABLE! The highlight of our trip was renting a pontoon boat and spending an entire day on the Lake. Johnathan's Restaurant has excellent food AND service...we actually went there two of the three nights we were there. We loved your place and the area and thank you for sharing it with us. We hope to return and have already recommended it to our friends!

Clean, Comfy and Cozy

This condo was exactly what we were looking for on our trip to visit family in the area. This condo is extremely clean. The bed and sofa were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Although we did not use the pool, it looked nice with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. The grounds are well kept. We would definitely stay here again while visiting the area.

Thanks for letting us stay in your condo! It was unbelievable how clean everything was! We had a great time there for our first stay. We are already making plans to go back to the lake! I have no complaint about anything! While you're there you'll definately get a good night's sleep on the comfy king size bed too! Great place to stay!

A very enjoyable stay, comfortable bed, felt more like home than a hotel room. We were attending a wedding over on Duddley Amos road so we were very close by, that was nice.

A short and fun getaway

That's right.....I'm the owner, but everytime my husband and I get the chance to come down and spend a couple days at the lake, I remember all over again how much I really love it here. The weather is great right now for being out on the lake and for early mornings on the deck overlooking the lake with coffee in hand. I hope all of our guest love it here as much as we do!!

The fishing was great and your condo was at it's door step. The complimentary ice machine came in handy when I needed to cool down the days catch. The early morning views from your patio added to the excitement, as the coffee brewed and the eggs sizzled in the fry pan. I'm hooked on your clean-n-quiet condo, and plan to return with my golf clubs in one hand and my fishing pole in the other.... Thanks again !

We just returned home from a wonderful 5 days at your lovely condo. Very well equipped and totally relaxing. Thank you for sharing with us. Just a word for others -- boat ramp is steep -- we had trouble with our little 2-wheel drive pulling our skis out. If ramp is wet, be prepared to have someone climb up in the back of the truck for added weight. LOL Other owners we met were very nice. Loved views from the balcony. And yes, Red, Wines and Blues is highly recommended as well as Westlake Golf - beautiful course!

This was my first time reserving a rental for a getaway. What an easy process, and better yet, what a fabulous place to stay. No hotel could compare to the home away from home experience of staying at your condo. The location was perfect--quiet, yet centrally located to so many activities and sights. The condo was exceptional. SO CLEAN and no institutional odor that you'd find in a hotel. Anything we could possibly need was there...and then some. Thanks for making our first visit to SML so enjoyable and easy! My daughter, two grandsons and I would love to return and will certainly recommend you to friends.

We had a WONDERFUL time on our vacation. The condo is an absolute dream - Beautifully decorated, VERY clean, and stocked with everything you could need from linens, appliances, pots/pans, DVD's, Board Games, etc. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. My husband and I were looking for a relaxing place to take our baby on our 1st family vacation and that's exactly what we found. We had an amazing time and can't wait to go back next summer!!!

We stayed during the weekend of 27 - 30 June 2009. Had a great time. The condo was very excellent. We visited the SML state Park swimming area. It was a real nice sandy beach area with even a platform with a slide on it. This was our second visit. Plan on more in the future. Went to Tocky Mount, not a good place to find a place to eat. Local area's were much nicer places to eat at.

The Adams family stayed at this beautiful condo Memorial Day weekend. We enjoyed dinner on the deck with the pretty lake view. Everyone enjoyed watching movies on the cloudy days and playing board games. We also ate at the Red, Blue, & Wine place up the road & it was excellent. The new movie theater was great. Overall, the condo is in a great location & we hope to stay again in the future. "the Adams family"
