Auld cottage is nestled in the heart of a redwood grove, next to Austin Creek. Its a tranquil ideal, with its own private deck and yard. The deck is ideal to relax, and just enjoy the gentle breezes and dappled sunlight. The views through the windows are of the majestic redwoods that dominate our area. Just outside your gate is the path to Austin Creek, one of the most pristine watersheds in Northern California.
The gated entrance to the cottage opens onto a private yard and deck. The deck has its own barbecue, and is really an outside living room during the spring and summer. A lot of our guests find themselves having coffee, while surfing the web and picking up email (we do have wifi).
The deck and yard become the perfect place for our furry friends. We are dog friendly and love well behaved dogs. Dogs love our location with the private access to Austin Creek.
The cottage itself is a one bedroom, which is ideal for two. We have often hosted four by simply pitching a tent in the yard, or sleeping bags on the deck. It does have a well supplied kitchen with its own dining area. The kitchen has service pieces for four, and enough pots and pans to make a cook happy. Of course we also have a microwave and a coffee maker for those liesurely mornings. The cottage also has a wifi system, along with television and radio. What is most important is your comfort.
Please feel free to call us with any questions about the cottage. We love last minute guests and we are dog friendly. We would love to offer you additional services; such as picnic lunches, driving you on wine tours and arranging fishing or kayaking excursions.
The cottage works perfectly as a guest house for our neighbor Mike Hastings and Elements (VRBO 192103). WE are a walk across the road from his driveway. Its really an ideal situation for a large group or family reunion.

My husband, dog, and I spent the weekend up in this adorable cottage. Our dog loved having her own yard to roam in and really enjoyed wading in the creek! Sadly, my husband and I had to spend a day working but the internet service was very reliable and I believe even faster than we have at home! Thanks for a great deal and easy get-away!

We had a wonderful time staying at Auld cottage. The owners were very kind and immediately put up a tent for our kids. The cabin is small with 1 comfortable queen bed. There is a chaise lounge in the kitchen area. The cabin was very welcoming, fresh fruit, chocolate, bottle of wine. It is very dog friendly with a fenced in yard. The creek was close enough that we were comfortably letting the boys run down alone. Would recommend this place for a small family.
