We had the opportunity to rent this home the past two Thanksgivings. There are 14 of us. The layout of the home is perfect for our large group. The home has beautiful living room with views of the beach across the street and a wide screen TV. The Kitchen is great, granite everywhere and a table that is big enough to sit 10 to 12 with views of the ocean while we eat breakfast everyday and for our Thanksgiving meal. The den off the Kitchen is essentially a second living room where the kids hung out all week when they were not outside throwing the football on the front lawn or over at the beach. Thank you for renting to us for this family holiday a second straight year. The home was immaculate upon arrival. Like Arnold says...... " I'll be back" ......... :-) Jennifer Gibson

We stayed in this property the week the week of October 26th for a week. We had 6 adults and 7 children. The location was absolutely perfect for a family vacation on the Cape. We read the review prior to ours and shook our heads. The children adored having their own space downstairs. Yes, the headroom on the top bunk is tight, but was no problem for the kids. The other bedroom downstairs is splendid. A large king size bed, extremely spacious room with it's own beautiful working fireplace. While our kids stayed there, it would equally be a great private romantic room for a couple. We decided that the adults all upstairs and kids downstairs gave us the privacy we liked and the beautiful ocean views out our bedroom windows. The home is wonderfully decorated, all relatively brand new and high end. We doubt there are many other homes in the area that compete for quality. We appreciate you letting us stay in your wonderful home and are planning our dates for next year.

We booked this as a place for a partial family reunion with our family from London, England. Needless to say, we were all very excited to be staying in such a beautiful home--according to the description. However, upon arrival, we were quickly disappointed by reality. The house itself was clean but not what I would call "guest-ready". Many things were left partially-completed. The washing machine as well as the dishwasher was full, the toilet on the main floor was not flushing properly and the house itself was littered with the owner's personal effects. There was a pile of shoes and some storage bins in one corner of the living room, there were clothes and pants left lying on the chairs and in the second living area, blankets and magazine were thrown into a corner, and a used toothpick was left lying on one of the chairs. The really disappointing element was that two bedrooms are in the basement--and one of them doesn't even have a window. An ocean view? I think not. What these room did have was a strange smell. We were not about to have any of our children sleep in the basement--where there is no heat either. The description of this house does not say anything about bedrooms in the basement. We chose to stay elsewhere but not before wading through some rough waters with the owner in terms of getting some of our money back. Even after 2 weeks, we have yet to hear from the owner about what we are owed. DON'T STAY HERE. If you do, be sure to buy VRBO insurance.
Owner response:Unfortunately once in 5 years of extremely happy and satisfied renters you come across the bad seeds and gamers. This group never had any intention on staying at our home. They showed up and said they had another place they were staying at, even before they ever came into the home and demanded their money back. Had they informed us in advance we would have easily re-rented the home and returned their deposit. They did not do that. Once inside the home, the first thing they did was intentionally clogged up the toilets and make up other complaints. They were removed from the home. The next week renters like all before had a great week and enjoyed this unique high end home. We go to great lengths to address any concerns with tenants immediately and our reviews certainly support the quality of the home and the way we work with our tenants.

We rented this home for a weekend gathering of all adults and 1 teenager. The home is beautiful and the pictures give you a very acurate picture of the home. The house is within walking distance to the beach and we took advantage of this and the exceptional weather for October. The one thing you need to be aware of is that the "lower level" bedrooms are in the basement and have low ceilings making the top bunks unusable as well as like all basements had some very funky smells. We were able to work around this by usnig an Aero mattress and the couches on the main living level. John was great to deal with and all in all this was a great weekend and we would come back again.
Owner response:As a note for all renters, the Cape has year round humidity. The home is equipped with dehumidifiers to keep the home free of all smells. If a party turns the humidifier system off, then a smell could occur. Glad your stay was terrific Cheryl, wish you had called about an odor, we would made sure you turned the switch back on that someone shut off inadvertently. See you next year.

This was our best vacation ever in Cape Cod. The home is beautiful and spacious. A short walk to the beach and all of the amenities to make this vacation a fabulous one. The owners are fantastic and we can't wait to come back next year. Thank you for a great stay in Cape Cod!

My husband and 3 grown children rented this home this past summer and had a very fun time. The house is across the street kitty-corner to a beach and it was fun to go for walks there-and further down the water to the Kennedy compound. We were able to walk the beach right in front of the compound. We also went to the Kennedy museum in town (short drive) where there are lots of fun restaurants and bars. They had beach chairs and bikes for us to use as well as a fully equipped kitchen. We had a great time BBQing and eating outside. There was plenty of room for us all! Good times!

This home is stunning! Well appointed, comfortable and spacious! View of the ocean, and walking distance. Lots of places to sight see within minutes of home. Modern kitchen easy for cooking, plenty of seating for large family meals or a romantic dinner on the patio off the master suite! Downstairs patio perfect for picnics or roasting marshmellows :) We had a great time and I know I'll be back!

We recently stayed at this beautiful home for a college friend reunion. Not having seen each other for years we were hoping for a quiet, clean, relaxing place and we got that and a lot more. The house was spotless, spacious, had great views, very comfy beds, beautiful decor, great tv's, great porches, perfect kitchen and in a great location. We took many walks across the street to the beach and spent the evening outside roasting marshmallows. Best of all was the owner of this home and his great "customer service". He communicated well, checked in with me before we arrived, making sure the house was ready in every way when we arrived and offered suggestions as to local attractions. I also found the local people very friendly. I am hoping to go back as soon as we can. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. It meant a lot to be able to have such a wonderful home for our time together.

We all enjoyed everything about this rental. The home was modern, excellent location and had a lot of space. We were 2 couples and due to the views and the location, enjoyed eating in at the large table overlooking the ocean. A nice place for gourmet meals in. We did some running in the neighborhood, biking and many beach walks. The beach is so handy and Hyannis is just a few minutes away, Many options for golf, groceries and leisure shopping are all close by. I would definitely rent this lovely home again. Planning the trip was reassuring as the owner was open and flexible. Ottawa, Canada
Owner response:We work hard to make eveyone's stay comfortable and unique. The combination of the location and the quality of the home is something we looked for years to find for oursleves and for others we rent to. A 5-10 minute walk to the Kennedy presidential compound as well.

We have vacationed on the Cape for the past 18 years. Of all the houses in which we have stayed, this was the best for the combination of location and amenities.

I want to thank you for letting us use your beautiful home. We thought twice about a winter week on Cape Cod for School vacation, but we were wrong. The area has so many fun things to do and see all year round and even with the chill, we sat out on the lawn chairs on the porch every morning with our tea looking at the beach and water across the street. Beautiful and peaceful! My young daughter and her friend enjoyed the games at the house, the surroundings and the game center in downtown Hyannis a great deal. The lovely restaurants on Main St in Hyannis, just 60 seconds away, were wonderful. Thanks, again….. Patti and Emily and family……
