Lovely, Convenient Condo
Lovely, Convenient Condo
The location of this condo, only a 8-10 minute walk from the center of town was great. Beautifully kept grounds with a friendly staff and manager, eager to help out if needed. On the same street we discovered a bakery, a breakfast spot, a pharmacy, and a great place to buy ice cream. If you don't feel like walking, many cabs (30 pesos anywhere in San Miguel) and buses pass by all the time. This condo has a beautiful pool area complete with cushioned chaise lounges and umbrellas. The pool is closed on Mondays. The wifi in the apartment was not reliable, but when we would sit by the pool or in the clubhouse, connections were easy. The owner was always attentive to any emails with questions, responding within an hour. Casa Juliet was beautifully furnished with two large bedrooms with private baths each. Granite kitchen and a pretty balcony to enjoy your coffee or eat outside. Only two blocks from the library where many events (lectures, movies, games, dancing, book sales) took place. Via Organica and Fabrica de Aurora (amazing food, art and stores) are also on the same street, hosting several restaurants and interesting lectures. We always felt very safe and secure at Casa Juliet!

Owner response: The problem with the internet during this stay was something city-wide, with the internet company. It has happened once in the past, but the company was quick to resolve it.
We were very lucky to stay in this excellently located condo in San Miguel de Allende. It was spacious, especially the bedrooms, and the bathrooms were impeccable. Every room has a balcony and there is also a very large terrace on the top with a spectacular view of the whole city. The grounds are gorgeous and, since it is a gated community, very safe. Having a kitchen was very convenient to prepare our breakfasts. The owner also provided bilingual cable service which was great in the evenings to watch shows in English. She also provided Vonage which came in handy a couple of times and there is a perfect WI-FI connection too. Calzada de la Aurora is a great street in itself with the Fabrica La Aurora just across the street. Mini markets are close by and taxis pass by all the time. We got to see the whole city. San Miguel has some great restaurants and they were all close at hand. The only but with the condo was the pool. It was way too hot at 92 degrees so hard to cool off. San Miguel can get pretty hot during the April, May and June months and a cooler pool would have been ideal to lower body temperature. We would highly recommend this condo.

Owner response: We will tell the management to lower the pool temperature in the warmer months. It is nice to have it nice and warm in December and January though!
2013 - 2014 Season: $195/night ... $750/week ... $2190/month
