My wife and her sister and I had a wonderful week at Marsh Wren. The home was perfect in every way - clean and well equipped with everything we needed and more. The pool and spa cooled us off during the warm days, and we were able to get out of the sun on the patio. The arroyo behind the house teemed with birds and a variety of wildlife which entertained us constantly. Being close to Hwy. 10 made it easy for us to get around to see the sights. There are some great restaurants nearby, and we especially enjoyed Tohono Chul Park and the little cafe there - combination of beautiful gardens and enjoyable meals. Can't wait for our next trip; it was great to get away from the snow here in Ontario.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

My husband and I along with our 17 and 20 yr. old daughters throughly enjoyed our stay at this Oro Valley Desert Getway! The listing description was accurate, the property was nicer than the photos depicted. John was very helpful and quick to reply to any of our questions. The only thing I would have done differently would be to stay our entire time in Tucson at this house. The first part of our holiday was spent at a resort because the house was not available for our full stay in Tucson. We enjoyed the heated pool and the privacy in the backyard [you can not see any homes behind the house]. Our stay in Tucson did include a mini snow storm, the lawn chairs around the pool with beach towels on them was a funny sight:) I would definitely recommend this property.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

Recently stayed at this beautiful property whilst in the USA for a friends wedding. Everything worked like clockwork, house was in an ideal location for getting around both visiting people as well as visiting many of the attractions. The property was nicely appointed and will be the first on our list when visiting again. Would be more than happy to recommend this to other friends visiting Tuscon.Did you find this review helpful? We had an excellent vacation at the Desert Getaway. The house is well stocked with everything you need to cook, relax and sight see. Clean too. It's close to many area attractions and is close to the desert as well. We enjoyed mountain biking the miles of desert trails just across the road, no need to drive. The backyard has a tropical feel with cactus, palm trees and a waterfall. Super relaxing and lots of birds for entertainment. Would stay again. Highly recommended!!! Thanks John.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Beautiful home and great location for a relaxing time out from a Wisconsin winter. Thank you John for all the local area recommendations and the complimentary park passes to Sabino Canyon, Mt. Lemmon, and Madeira Canyon. I enjoyed hikes in all of the parks! The pool area was a favorite for reading a good book and just taking it easy. Great place!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

My wife and I spent a 10 day holiday here in March of 2010. We normally golf in Scottsdale, AZ or Palm Springs, CA. We decided to give Tucson a try and are very glad we did. This rental was the perfect home base for our daily golf outings. There are over 10 beautiful golf courses all within a 15 minute drive! We also enjoyed some hiking at nearby Dove Mountain and Catalina State Park. In the evening we looked forward to our return to the house to relax in the back yard. There is a waterfall into the pool and it backs up to the desert for evening viewing of the desert wildlife. This will be our new winter retreat destination and loved this house.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

What a peach! Thank you John. My wife and I had a great, secluded holiday away from home (Australia). We appreciate you leaving the local park passes for us and the wireless internet. (I needed to keep in touch for business). The Saguaro National Monument was great along with Kitt Peak. Private backyard w/ desert oasis made our vacation. Thank you! My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful Tucson vacation at this home in October 2009. The home is indeed beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Also conveniently located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood. My favorite thing was the gorgeous "grotto" pool and waterfall -- very private, especially since there is no neighbor to the back of the property, just desert. We had a delicious dinner at Michelangelo's, an Italian restaurant (all wine half-priced on Mondays and Tuesdays!) The cave at Kartchner State Park was worth the trip to see. We recommend Tucson as a low-key vacation destination -- and we would love to stay at this delightful home again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3
